• Anand (1/5): Absolutely Horrific Experience – Avoid at All Costs! - Nothing I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. From the moment we arrived, it was a complete disaster. The property is owned by an extremely unprofessional and aggressive couple who clearly have no understanding of hospitality. We arrived at 14:00 and the advertised check-in time of 12:00pm, only to find no one on site except a single, visibly overwhelmed staff member. She was clearly under pressure, being forced to do overtime because of a double booking error made by the owner, Suzanne. This poor woman was left to clean, check-in guests, and handle all responsibilities alone. As a result, our room wasn’t ready, and we were left standing around with no proper welcome or explanation. When I called Suzanne to raise the issue, her response was not just rude—it was outright hostile. Instead of taking accountability, she became defensive and extremely disrespectful on the phone. Shockingly, she then sent her husband to deal with us, and that’s when the situation escalated into something truly disturbing. Her husband arrived 30 minutes later, clearly already in an aggressive state. He marched up to us, demanding that I apologise to his wife if I wanted to stay. When I calmly refused, he threatened to call the police and told me I had “messed with the wrong people.” This level of intimidation and threatening behaviour was completely unacceptable, especially with my family present. Ultimately, I was forced to leave the property. Booking.com was made aware but sadly did nothing to assist or issue a refund. To add insult to injury, the owner blatantly lied to Booking.com, claiming she had accommodated us—when in fact we were kicked out for refusing to tolerate her rudeness and threats. My advice? Think ten times before booking this place. You’re not just risking a ruined holiday—you’re dealing with a grumpy, unprofessional couple who don’t understand basic decency, let alone customer service.

• Sara (10/5): One to remember - Spending a few days at the lodge with my daughter and our dog was one of the most special experiences we’ve shared. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and a sense of comfort that made it feel like a true home away from home. The lodge was beautifully kept—thoughtfully furnished, spotlessly clean, and filled with little touches that made our stay feel personal and cared for. My daughter loved exploring the space, playing games by the fire, and helping prepare simple meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Our dog quickly claimed his favorite cozy spot by the window and seemed just as relaxed and happy as we were. We spent our time simply and joyfully—reading, talking, cooking together, and just enjoying each other’s company without distractions. The peaceful atmosphere gave us the space to unwind and reconnect in a way that everyday life rarely allows. This stay was more than just a getaway—it was a memory we’ll hold onto for a long time. I’m so grateful for the experience and would return in a heartbeat

• Snezana (10/5): A perfect stay for us and our doggies in an idyllic setting. - It was beautifully located, very clean and spacious. Everything was well thought out and delightful. The owners were fantastic, so helpful when we got lost and also very patient. The garden was great too and well enclosed so the dogs were very happy. Oh yes, the bed was so, so comfortable. Bliss! Everything was great.

• Ken (10/5): Lovely lodge, stunning views - The lodge was really tidy, with everything we needed. The view was stunning and Susanne was a really friendly host, who was available to answer any queries. There was underfloor heating and a log burner but, as we were going out to eat, we didn't want to light the burner. It might have been nice to have a plug-in heater, to warm the room temporarily

• Susan (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay thankyou Suzanne for making us feel so at home xx - Perfect location very peaceful plenty of room the garden was all fenced off so out dog could be outside safe . A little cold until Fire was lit and underfloor heating came on but soon warmed up
