Guest Reviews
- Sian (10/5): - Very comfortable, clean, quiet, well equipped cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- Lene (9/5): It was excellent! -
- Jules (10/5): A wonderful stay in an idyllic setting. We will definitely be back !!! - We absolutely loved our stay at Lademill cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Idyllic location, plenty of space, light and airy, comfy sofas, excellent kitchen facilities, outdoor seating, superb shower. Lovely welcome with some tea and coffee and shortbread from the Kenmore Bakery. Loved the waterfall at the back of the property and the proximity to nature. We watched a heron come in to fish as we sat having lunch outside. Absolutely breathtaking. We loved the privacy and the garden is just beautiful. Simple check in process. So many positives and we will definitely return. We didn't find the beds very comfortable but that's a matter for personal preference to be honest. Others have rated them highly.
A longer bath mat may be safer as the bath is huge and luxurious or people could bring their own.
The hub in the lounge kept saying "Your Huawei cube is not connected" which was a little irritating but didn't ruin our stay. The rug in the lounge is marked in places and could do with a refresh or replacement but these are tiny things.
The positives, however, far outweigh all of these but may be ideas for the host going forward. Just a few observations and not intended as criticism in any way at all.

- ThomasJose (10/5): Lovely with peace and quiet - The location was beautiful with trail walks behind and a few minutes walk to the Tay Marina for activities. The property had excellent facilities - the wood burning oven was the highlight especially in winters. Very accessible to all the attractions like - Blackrock View point, Crannog centre etc.
- Zoe (8/5): Great! - Lovely cottage, amazing location, had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. Comfortable, private, quiet. Nothing we didn’t like!
- Brocklehurst (10/5): - Nice views and great location to get to Aberfeldy
- Phyllis O'Keeffe (10/5): - Comfortable warm clean cottage with amazing views. Andrew extremely helpful. Absolutely nothing.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Richardson (9/5): - Perfect location dogs loved it.
- Katie (10/5): Cosy , clean and well equipped - Spotlessly clean , plenty of logs for wood burner , well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom with good shower. The WiFi was down following a recent storm and owners went out of their way to provide us with a connection quickly. The staff at the nearby ( walking distance) bar/restaurant were very friendly and made us and our dog very welcome and the food was pretty decent with albeit a limited menu but the drinks a little expensive.
The cottage was very comfortable and we had a lovely short stay
- Turnbull (9/5): nice, relaxing place. - Spacious, well equipped, warm Confusion still despite previous reviews about the cleaning fee - the cottage instruction book -which is written for another set of cottages so not all applicable to this one - still says the cottage has to be cleaned - yet i paid a £30 cleaning fee. We vacuumed - though the cylinder vacuum is very difficult to use on the new carpets. I did clean the bath - there wasn't any cleaning cloths left but i brought one in from our camper van. Just think, given this has arisen not long ago that the booklet should be amended and specific to the actual cottage.

- Paul Moore (10/5): Stunning - The location is fantastic, including the surrounding area and local facilities.
Short walk to marina and kenmore was lovely.
Seeing the neighbours with their horses was a extra bonus.
Having room for family visiting was great. Not being able to stay longer.
Maybe a idea of a bbq area.
- Martin (8/5): Thanks for a brilliant stay in a beautiful location. - Beautiful location a few minutes' walk from the lochside, with an easy 30 minute stroll to Kenmore in one direction and 10 minutes to the beautiful Falls of Acharn walk in the other. The Taymouth Marina is also very close, with fabulous facilities you can dip into (not cheap, but cheaper than staying there!) Wander down for a meal or just a coffee by the loch. The cottage is in a secluded spot on a working estate, so you are not surrounded by other holiday makers - but you might spot someone shoeing a horse! It has its own 'secret' waterfall up behind the house. The Cottage itself is spacious and comfortable. Great for dogs too. There was a slight confusion over the cleaning fee, but easily and quickly sorted by the responsive host: they just need to update the info in the welcome pack.
- Gerben (9/5): Top locatie - Wat een prachtig huisje en locatie. De rust en de vogels die rond het huisje scharrelden. De kamers waren ruim, de badkamer netjes en de keuken was prima.
De haard was heel tof! Niets!

- McLaren (10/5): - The situation was perfect and also the peace and quiet. Would return next year. There wasnt anything we did.not like.
- Leona (9/5): Lovely self contained cottage - very comfortable and airy. - Everything was there that we needed - fully functioning kitchen, spacious and comfortable living room, comfortable beds. Wi-fi and telly and a place to park right outside. Quiet and calm. Nothing, it was lovely.
There was one issue - we paid the £30 cleaning fee and in the 'welcome pack' it asked that we tidy round, strip the beds, vacuum etc before leaving. We complied but not sure what the £30 was for.
- Alistair (9/5): Superb - Comfortable, clean, peaceful. WiFi good. Minor points. No tea coffee milk provided. No bread knife.
- Frew (10/5): Lademill cottage - Cottage was very clean and comfortable with everything you need .The location of the cottage is great lovely walks straight from the doorstep . Kenmore within walking distance . Normaly we would not return to same place but we definitely would go back . Nothing not to like .
- Piotr (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (8/5): Relaxing comfortable modern lovely quiet - Superbly appointed, scrupulously clean, comfortable, warm. Broadband speed is inadequate for tv which relies entirely on streaming as no aerial is fitted.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (8/5): Amongst the best we’ve seen. - Exceptionally clean and tidy. The cleaning/maintenance staff are doing a great job 👏🏻. Very well appointed and equipped. Lovely quiet location amongst trees adjacent to a working farm with frequent sightings of horses. Off street parking feet from the door. Cosy comfortable cottage with lovely large tv (often cottage tvs are quite small). Located in a popular beautiful tourist area with plenty to do in the vicinity. I’d suggest provision of a larder cupboard to store foodstuffs. Not too much of an issue for four days but a week or more might be inconvenient for some. Just a suggestion.
Our only other issue was with the wifi speed which was frequently insufficient to steam tv without occasional freezing and glitching despite resetting the hub.
- Lauren (9/5): Superb -
- Natasha (8/5): Great location and well kept/clean stay - Very well kept, clean and everything you required for your stay.
- William (10/5): We had a very enjoyable stay. - The location was idyllic, with the cottage set in wooded countryside beside a small river. The log burning stove in the living was a nice touch and provided plenty of heat. The cottage had been recently renovated to a high standard. The cottage is located close to Loch Tay, the village of Kenmore and the town of Aberfeldy and is an excellent base for exploring this area.
