• Paul (10/5): Very nice property in a beautiful part of the country - Clean, quiet and very comfortable For visitors from outside the country with no mobile services, it was really hard to find. Had to stop and ask for directions from neighbors. A little sign outside the property showing it as Sharmore cottage would be great☘️

• Jennifer (10/5): Home away from home in the beautiful Irish countryside! - We travelled from South Africa for a 3 week Christmas stay at Smarmore and it was perfect for us. We wanted something in the country but not too far from the towns. The drive from the towns to Smarmore Cottage, especially at night, were something from a movie! The quiet surroundings, the views, the cosiness of the cottage, the convenience of having a washing machine & dryer and an airfyer which we'd never used before (we'll be buying one now) and all the little extras. Our hosts had Christmas decorations in the windows too which was such a lovely touch. Thank you Katy & Michael, we'd love to come back again one day :)

• Lorraine (1/5): Great place & location BUT shower big issue - Location good. Garden lovely clean and tidy. Nice looking cottage. Kitchen well equipped. Generally clean. On arrival hall carpet looked dirty. Bathroom carpet dirty at shower end. shower corners and tray dirty. Cleaned tray and edges and door runner. On rinsing noticed 2 small 3cm thin black worms coming out from one corner. Then another from another corner of shower tray. Further worms appeared overnight. In total removed around 10 over the two days we stayed. Shower sealant seriously needs removing, structure deep cleaning and reseal. Could/wouldn’t not use shower. And no bath. The drier filter hadn’t been cleaned out. Having a cleaning fee to pay for the worms😬. + rental cost for a property without usable shower/bath. Washing in hand basin not fun. There were also bathroom drain smells evident on many occasion.

• Maja (9/5): Tolles geräumiges Cottage im Osten Irlands - Sehr ruhige Lage, gute Ausstattung des Hauses und viel Platz. Die Gastgeber waren immer zu erreichen und sehr hilfsbereit. Der Blick aus der Küche auf die grüne Weide war wunderschön. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Für uns die perfekte Basis zum Entdecken der Region. Die antihaftbeschichteten Pfannen waren leider schon sehr zerkratzt, hier wäre ein Austausch gegen Edelstahl sinnvoll. Aber das ist nur eine Kleinigkeit, die wir als Hobbyköche anmerken. Ansonsten wäre ein kurzes Infoblatt toll, auf dem erklärt wird, wie der Herd angeht, die Fenster zu öffnen sind oder die Dusche funktioniert.

• Sabine (9/5): Excellent stay - Charming house with flair in an idyllic landscape, well equipped, easy self check-in. Just a 20 minute car ride to Bru na Boinne. Water temperature in the shower was hard to regulate, but it's really just a minor thing.
