• Roger (6/5): After a terrible start we had a nice week at the apartment - I have stayed at this location before which is ideally placed to access Carvoiero town centre. There is good parking and the appartment is a good size with all the facilities that a person needs on holiday. The arrangements to access the apartment were difficult. When we "WOTSAPPED" the rep as instructed she seemed surprised to know we were flying at 1900hrs on the 20th. I had booked the apartment from the 20th but on arrival the premises were still being cleaned with linen drying around the premises and beds unmade which was far from ideal given we arrived at 2330hrs. The premises also smelt damp and were unfit to live in. The rep for the premises accepted there had been a break down in communication and that the premises weren't fit to stay in overnight and she made arrangements to house us in a hotel. I had no contact on Monday 21st to say the apartment was then available and it was only because i attended in person that i found the apartment had been cleaned and was to the standard i would expect. I then had to contact the rep to check we were ok to move in. This delay was totally unacceptable and meant we lost at least half a day of our holiday. This trip was our honeymoon having got married the day before. My partner was in tears when we first entered the apartment at 2330hrs on Sunday 20th. The rep did what she could to resolve the situation but i was extremely unhappy with how our holiday and visit to the apartment started

• Andy (8/5): Perfect for a relaxing holiday in the sunshine at a home from home. - The location is excellent. Only a short walk to the full amenities of Carvoeiro but lovely and peaceful. Most of the apartments in Bugvilia are privately owned and you can tell, there is a nice relaxed air to the entire small complex and also to that of the larger Monte Dourado. The apartment was well laid out and we found the basic necessities upon our arrival. It has a large balcony and beautiful sun terrace where all the amenities you would need can be found, especially if travelling as a young family. There are quiet hour and pool rules to keep the noise down after 2100 which, we thought was very beneficial and everyone respected this aiding our desire for a quiet peaceful holiday in the glorious sunshine. Our host was most helpful throughout the preparation of the holiday providing a generous amount of information prior to travelling and we felt well prepared even before getting there. The Guest Relation Manager was available upon request and very helpful providing useful insights to the local area. Nothing with respect to the property or the Monte Dourado resort, however it is good to be aware that many of the bars and restaurants in Carvoeiro itself now do not accept credit cards. Many of them are strictly cash only however there are many, many ATM machines. There are also a few banks that will provide more reasonable exchange rates than the ATMs do.
• John (8/5): Brilliant family holiday location. - The facilities and roof terrace as well as how close you are to the centre but without any noise. The pools are all excellent as well There wasn’t much in the way of bin bags, dishwasher or washing machine tabs so we needed to go buy these as well as salt pepper etc. some essentials would be nice to have about the place
• Aurélie (7/5): Spacious and comfortable flat , quiet location - Great location & quiet area in Carvoeiro ! Shared bathroom would need a refresh, water evacuation was not optimal … Seems the electricity fees were not included , such detail was not mentioned from the start
