- chantal (10/5): On ne peut pas faire mieux ! Hâte de revenir ! - L'emplacement incroyable au bord du lac Biwa(une navette gratuite a disposition par l'hotel de la gare à l'établissement). La beauté de l'hôtel, le calme, la gentillesse du personnel, le professionnalisme de Miyoko qui était très à l'écoute de nos demandes. Les repas étaient incroyables ( le master chef Maeda Yoshihiro a adapté nos repas en fonction de nos allergies). Le plus incroyable se sont les bains onsen extérieurs qui donnent directement sur le lac, un endroit de rêve on ne peut pas faire mieux ! Rien tout était parfait !

- Wing Sze Sally (10/5): This is one of the best resorts I’ve stayed at in Japan. - The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. The dinner and breakfast were amazing, especially with the use of fresh local ingredients. The room was spacious and offered a beautiful view—you could look out over Lake Biwa all day. I only stayed at the resort for one day and wish I had more time to explore everything it has to offer. There are great facilities, including a basketball court, tennis court, and inviting common areas. It’s also an excellent place for families, with plenty of kid-friendly amenities, even for toddlers. The location isn’t the most convenient for travelers who don’t drive, but I believe there is a shuttle bus available.

I'm excited to return on my next visit to Japan. If I were to voice a tiny complaint, the bath, while offering gorgeous views of the lake, was a bit on the small side. However, that complaint is miniscule in comparison to the other wonderful qualities of this hotel.

- Thanyada (10/5): Truly Relaxing Stay - A truly relaxing lakeside retreat. The hotel offers a stunning and peaceful lake view that instantly puts you at ease. Sitting by the vast yet tranquil lake was pure happiness and deep relaxation. The property is impeccably clean and well maintained. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with good quality and variety. Every staff member provided warm, friendly service with genuine smiles. I will definitely return.
- Kenneth (10/5): A fantastic stay with great hospitality for us as a family - It had been a fantastic stay at the Biwafront Hotel for our family vacation. The hotel staffs wearing cute Christmas outfits greeted us from afar in a cold and snowy day while our car was driving towards the hotel’s entrance. Check-in process was very nice and smooth. We were taken to our rooms and were explained in detail about the hotel’s offering. Special credits went to Kawaguchi Miyoko 川口美代子who had treated us so well with the hospitality she has offered us. We enjoyed our stay immensely. When we checked out, staffs helped with our bulky bags and loaded them to our car. They even waited in the cold weather and waved goodbye to us until the very moment when our car actually pulled away from the hotel. Their attention to details in making us feel very special. We will definitely come back again for more!

- Julie (8/5): Lovely hotel situated on the shores of Lake Biwa. - Fabulous hotel with incredible scenery. Onsen was a highlight. The hotel was not far from Hikone Castle and well with the visit. We didn’t have dinner included in the package so we had to find an external restaurant locally. Would have been nice if the hotel provided more dinner options.

- chi keung (10/5): Excellent stay by the lake - Everything. We felt comfortable from the minute we walked into the hotel, the staff who served us were warm and welcoming. The rest area was spacious and bright as it faces the lake. All the rooms on the high rise building were facing the lake. Our room was clean and spacious with a tiny outdoor hot bath which was excellent to enjoy the sunset and night view of the lake. Dinner was excellent, with fresh beef, seafood and good varieties of Japanese dishes. None that I could recall.

Staff was super helpful and helped me retrieve my dropped sock from the roof gutter. Loved the set dinner and breakfast spread was pretty good. Definitely enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Ventilation of dinner restaurant. Onsen area was quite small, can be quite crowded during peak timings.

The room was beautiful, everything was incredibly comfortable, the in room bath was perfect after a long day, and the views were amazing. Great shuttle service as well. - Aurora Martina (10/5): Fantastico hotel in riva al lago Biwa nella bella cittadina di Hikone - Finora la struttura che mi è piaciuta di più nel mio viaggio in Giappone. Bellissima la vista del lago dall’hotel, sia dalla Lounge al decimo piano, sia dall’onsen. L’onsen è fornitissimo, ti danno anche gli asciugamani in loco (in molti altri hotel li devi portare dalla stanza). Quando ne ho usufruito c’era pochissima gente e sembrava quasi di essere in un onsen privato. Mi sono proprio goduta la vista del tramonto sul lago. La stanza è enorme e dotata di tutti i comfort. Mi ha colpito molto la presenza della macchina caffé Nespresso, di cui ho usufruito. Spettacolare anche qui la vista del lago dal balcone della camera. Al check-in la ragazza mi ha accompagnato personalmente in stanza ed è entrata con me per spiegarmi tutto per filo e per segno. Il personale è stato gentilissimo, e hanno anche provato a chiacchierare un po’ con me nonostante il mio scarso giapponese. La cucina del ristorante è stata anche qui fenomenale. Il mio unico rimpianto è non aver soggiornato qualche notte in più. L’unica cosa forse “scomoda” è non avere una navetta di collegamento con Hikone. La navetta è solo da/per Maibara (che è logico contando che arrivano gli Shinkansen). La possibilità di avere un qualche collegamento con il centro di Hikone non sarebbe male, ma è solo un di più che renderebbe questo hotel ancora più fantastico.

We especially loved the restaurant and the 8 course meal for dinner. The breakfast buffet was also high quality. Not really a knock, but the staff we met didn't speak much English, however we were still able to communicate effectively

- Kwaihan Cho (10/5): Great location with excellent Biwa Lake view. Great Staff. Highly recommended. - Excellent location with great view of Lake Biwa. Free drinks, snacks, and late night udon is extra bonus. All staff are professional, polite and friendly. Especially Ms. Kawaguchi who helped us check-in and check-out. Her perfect English made us feel like home. Not only she explained all facilities at the hotel, she went the extra mile to recommend sightseeing spots and restaurants to us. She's so kind to ask us about price range and food preferences and suggested us three different restaurants which we loved. Nothing.
