Guest Reviews
- Armin Schottak (10/5): - Ein geheimnisvoller wunderbarer Ort.
- Evgenios (10/5): - Charming property; very friendly hostess; proper English countryside atmosphere.
- Gwyn (10/5): -
- Nigel (10/5): Exceptional in all ways. We have booked again. - Everything. 'Go look see & stay' is our tip of the week Nothing
- jvarf (10/5): Wonderful stay in a blissful, quiet location and such friendly owners, totally recommend. - We love this bed & breakfast, this is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here. It is blissfully lovely, just the peace and quiet we love with nature all around, and the owners are just delightful, welcoming and go to great lengths to make sure you have what you need.
- Nicole (9/5): -
On s'y sent bien.
... Nichts
- Michael (10/5): A wonderful and unexpected one night stay. - Breakfast was available in the room with good choice of cereals, fresh bread, fresh milk and orange juice, apples, yoghurts. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. The owner / hostess was delightful. Nothing
- Josh (10/5): Very cosy, lovely spot - host very kind. - I was just passing through for 1 night Room and house really cosy and lovely, setting in Dartmoor is stunning - Ann is lovely and I enjoyed chatting to her. Lemon drizzle cack was lovely - thanks for everything, next time I'll come for longer!
- Melanie (10/5): Wonderful place to stay for a cosy and relaxing weekend. We will be back. - Everything! We were made to feel so welcome by Granny Annie and Storm, the house is gorgeous, our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Lots of attention to detail. Just perfect for us. Nothing.
- Sue (9/5): A superb country setting and a great welcome - This was an absolutely charming venue. A period farmhouse with all that you need. If you’re into plush hotel accommodation this probably isn’t right for you. If you’re into plush like homely, friendly and comfortable accommodation, it definitely is. The electrics were a bit hit and miss but that added to the charm.
- Timothy (10/5): Excellent B&B - Fantastic location, building maintains it old farmhouse feel while offering comfort.
- Tracy (10/5): -
- Emma (9/5): Delightful ! - Delightful hosts, location , place . Cosy and comfortable with bags of character .
- Justine (10/5): What an incredible find. - One of the most soulful places we’ve had the pleasure to stay for a very long time. What a delight this beautiful farm stay is. It’s a step back in time to how things used to be and a reassuring sense of homeliness. Our room itself was beautiful, such a lovely cosy space, a wonderful breakfast is left in the room. The whole farmhouse is at your disposal including a lounge with fab wood burner and kitchen with the aga- to be shared with other guests if there are some- a lovely way to meet other folk. Best of all is Granny Annie, the wonderful hostess- be sure to take time to hear her stories and maybe take a stroll up the lane with her and the menagerie of animals. We were also able to borrow the beautiful farm dog who accompanied us in our moorland walks- an utterly perfect few days.
- Victoria (7/5): - Good breakfast. Comfort of bed. Needs update
- Duncan (10/5): -
- Theresia (10/5): -
- Anwar (7/5): It was a comfortable short stay - The quiet location and being self contained for preparing a continental breakfast in room
- Fiona (10/5): - Amazing location - absolute gem of a place. Real home from home with bags of character.
- David (9/5): -
- Lowenna (10/5): Beautiful stay - Stunning location and house, hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, couldn't have asked for anything more, such a lovely stay! Everything was brilliant.
- Ian (10/5): Ancient farmhouse in remote countryside - Farmhouse dating from the 15th century, approached along narrow lanes in remote countryside. Fabulous building for students of vernacular rural architecture. Lots of beams, some of them below head height. Surrounded by fields but close to the open moor. Very welcoming hosts. You get access to the kitchen and lounge as well as a large comfortable room. Continental breakfast left in bedroom, which has fridge, toaster & kettle, overnight. Good Wifi. No phone signal. Good pubs a short drive or long walk away. Bed a bit narrow, great for intimacy, but not so good for actual sleeping.
- Marilyn (6/5): Charming but eccentric visit - A lovely old house and environs which is why I chose it. Charming and welcoming owner( amazing elderly lady with remarkable stamina) though I never met the person who actually runs it - her granddaughter) I was offered an ad hoc carriage ride which i loved. It was a warm, quirky and eccentric overnight stay. My room and bed was very comfortable. I'm easy to please, so didn't really mind some missing elements like full lighting ( two lights not working so room was somewhat dim!)) or hairdryer ( wouldn't work. Faulty plug?). The shower room was good but the towels were very small and a bit hard.
The 'delicious breakfast served in your room' ( see your booking details)never materialised although plates and cutlery were on the table ready for it. When i went downstairs to enquire, all was dark and noone was there! I never did gind anyone!
There was plenty of supplies in the room for DIY breakfast ( cornflakes, bread, milk etc + toaster) and a fridge which was fine for me but didn't match your details ( or reviews " superb"). I was happy with that but puzzled! Provisions for making drinks was bad. Two inches of very old coffee in a jar ( undrinkable) and much less sugar ( stuck to jar) that had to be dug out for use in tea and cornflakes. I rummaged in a drawer and found a very old and solid sugar stick which i scraped into my tea! Good job there was only one guest not two!
When I left, there was a lady in the kitchen whom I assumed might be the person in charge but she didn't introduce herself and seemed surprised to see me!!
This sounds awful but i enjoyed being there ( for one night) and i was happy to see dogs and ponies and chat with the amazing owner Annie and I loved the house but i think that many people would have found it seriously lacking. This is largely down to the details you put on the site ( very misleading) and the reviews which are clearly very out of date. So all in all, it was a nice, quirky experience for me ( and I was very tired after an awful 9 hour journey) but i think you should make your details realistic as other more demanding customers might not be so happy. ( and i had been looking forward to a cooked breakfast - surely a basic expectation in a B and B!)

- cyclingpenguin (10/5): - Friendly welcome
Nice assortment of breakfast Nothing
- Katrien (10/5): - Alles Niks
- Paul (8/5): A lovely end of our weeks road trip around Dave and Cornwall. - The highlight was Granny Annie, her welcome and stories were gorgeous. The location was great...deep in Dartmoor, just what we wanted and perfect for exploring. Breadfast was unconventional but was just fine for us.
- Riedl (10/5): - Alles Es gab nichts zu beanstanden
- Katrien (10/5): Fantastisch verblijf - A perfect stay down back in memory lane. Je komt net in een museum terecht. Prachtig en authentiek huis in the middle of nowhere. Supervriendelijke mensen. Niks
Sekunde an wohl gefühlt. (Fehlanzeige)
- Akemi (9/5): Fab - Everything was super as last year. WiFI issue was a bit inconvenient but thought as a digital detox!
- Katharina (10/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): -

- Barrie (10/5): -
- Geertrui (10/5): Uitstekend. -
- Tim (10/5): A glorious farmhouse in the middle of nowhere - perfect. - The farmhouse was beautiful and full of character, but what made this stay for us was the willing and friendly attitude of the family who own and run it. Thank you so much for everything. Nothing - this is a perfect place to stay.
- Alexandra (8/5): Wonderful location, friendly and helpful - The location, farmhouse, room, bathroom was beautiful. The single beds/mattresses had seen better days. It was a poor night's sleep and awoke with an aching back.
- Rachel (7/5): Good -
- Lindsay (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay. Peaceful, relaxing & distinctive. Lovely comfortable rooms & garden. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful & very welcoming. We loved our stay here
- Stephanie (10/5): A little gem of a place- stunning, relaxing and beautiful. - This was an amazing place to stay. It was so comfortable, relaxing and welcoming. The surroundings were beautiful, the facilities were excellent and the hosts very welcoming. We can thoroughly recommend it. It was lovely meeting the dogs and cat too. Nothing.
- Moira (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Thank you so much, wonderful time. -
- Michael (9/5): Recommended - Great welcome
- Claudia (8/5): Very good - Granny and her family welcomed us like family members. They are heartwarming people and made us feel home. I wasnt aware this is LITERALLY in the middle of nowhere! But that's my mistake, not their fault.
- Jillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenni (10/5): Beautiful cottage run by a welcoming family with super comfy rooms. - Fab simple breakfast you can enjoy whenever in your room.
- Neill (7/5): Good -
- Jvarf (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing stay in serene location, perfect bliss! - This a real gem of a bed and breakfast, beautiful location, cost, owners are so friendly and helpful, all very lovely. This was our second time staying here and we look forward to another visit again next year hopefully, thank you.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): We loved it ! - We loved the farmhouse renovation with wonderful furniture and details and all of the photos etc. We loved the beautiful garden and the wonderfully friendly animals.. mr biggles the cat, the two black labradors, Tia the border collie and the little Jack Russell .. as well as the orphan baby lamb and foal. The hosts Anne, Will and Storm were wonderfully welcoming.. and the breakfast was great!
We did a lot of our own cooking on the AGA and the kitchen and big dining table were great to use. Will was lovely to make us a fire for a few of the nights too. Nothing. We loved it all!
- Craig (10/5): If you want a true Dartmore experience then Cordonford Farm is for you. - Our hosts, Annie and William are a lovelyp couple. They were obliging, welcoming and generous. The spiral stairs were a bit of a challenge with luggage.
- Kerry (9/5): Superb -

- Rachel (8/5): Very good - Lovely old farmhouse. Great hosts.

- James (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (10/5): My new favourite place on Dartmoor - Warmest of welcomes, cosy room, lovely unexpected breakfast
- Peter (7/5): Authentic Dartmoor - Fire in lounge , access to large farm house table

- Bolger (10/5): Amazing! - What a beautiful property and the hosts were lovely and chatty, just a stunning place to stay and lots to see inside the cottage Nothing it was great… could be haunted haha
- Chris (9/5): Excellent accommodation in a beautiful spot - Very relaxed, excellent bedroom (room 2) with ensuite shower room. Very nice help-yourself breakfast laid out in the bedroom although there was the option of using the main downstairs kitchen with enormous table if required by a larger group of visitors. All I heard at night was an owl and some cattle in the distance. A far cry from the M40. Nothing :)
- Jerry (10/5): Storm was so helpful and lovely, she went above and beyond. Loved our stay. -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvia (10/5): Perfekt stay in the middle of Dartmoore - And old, traditional lovely farmhouse . We felt very welcomed and had wonderful 2 days.
- Ellen (10/5): The quintessential farmhouse B&B experience in Dartmoor National Park! - Great farm house experience! The room was comfortable and the continental breakfast was delicious! And the innkeeper gave us great directions on hiking at the nearby tors in Dartmoor. Nothing!
- Jayne (8/5): Very good -
- Robin (10/5): A pleasure to stop at Corndonford Farm - Stopping 4 nights for the English National Sheepdog trials in August, Annie and Will great hosts enjoyed a 'Dram' and exchanging farming stories round the kitchen table, a pleasure to meet such lovely genuine people. Accommodation first class.
- Andrew (6/5): A great escape for a couple of nights - It was a very charactersome old farmhouse. We only met the hosts briefly, but they were a charming couple. The room was cosy and had all we needed for breakfast. We found that the most picturesque walking was between Widecombe and Haytor. The guests lounge fireplace needs a good overhaul and we didn’t feel safe in there, but we were out most of the time anyway.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - The location was ideal for exploring Dartmoor. We really enjoyed having the breakfast in our room, and it was very tasty. The mattresses were a little tired and could do with updating.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house - very comfortable and atmospheric room. Great location for exploring the moors
- Elena (9/5): Beautiful and welcoming - Absolutely beautiful room and cottage in an amazing location. Truly a wonderful stay! Thank you so much to Annie and William for being so welcoming. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it. If you're looking for an authentic Dartmoor experience, you'll have the best time!
- Henk (10/5): Exceptional - Corndonforn Farm
We were warmly welcomed. An elderly couple who run the B&B with the help of a granddaughter.
It immediately felt like home. Ann has so much to tell about the horses with William's support. The farm is a place where time seems to have stood still. We enjoyed everything, the delicious breakfast and everything else the farm offered. We thank Ann and William for the beautiful experience.
