• Heather (10/5): - The apartment was lovely. An old townhouse redone nicely for rental use. The self check in system worked smoothly and we had enough key cards for everyone. Everything worked well and was in good, even like new, condition. Enough pots and pans, dishes, etc... Having a large fridge and freezer was great since we like to save money by mostly cooking meals for ourselves. The layout of the bathroom was super convenient for 4 friends. Toilet and sink in one room, and across the hallway a fantastic shower with another larger sink. This means you don't have to wait to use the toilet if your friend is taking a long shower! Great planning. We also appreciated the "American" full sized washing machine and stacked dryer. Our last rental had the typical European 2 in 1 washer/dryer which took 3:40 to wash and 4:40 to dry. I get that they fit small spaces better and don't need venting, but when I'm travelling and only have a few days in a location, I don't want to spend my whole evening babysitting my laundry. It was great to be completely done with a good sized load in just 2 hours! Thanks to the unseen hosts for providing such great accommodations. Nothing not to like.

• Gerhard (5/5): Eine gut gelegene Unterkunft mit sehr großem notwendigen Verbesserungspotential. - Die Umgebung ist ein normales Wohnviertel mit typischen Etagenwohnungen. Ruhige Lage. Zwei kleine Supermärkte sind in der Nähe. Die Altstadt ist mit mehreren Buslinien leicht erreichbar. Zu den Bushaltestellen sind es knapp 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Wohnung hat geräumige Zimmer. Um so stärker wiegen die Nachteile - siehe unten. Die Unterkunft ist nie und nimmer für mehr als 4 Personen geeignet. Es gibt nur ein einziges kleines Klo. Es gibt nur ein kleine Badezimmer (ohne Klo). Es gibt viel zu wenige Ablageflächen, Haken usw. und es gibt nur einen einzigen Schrank in einem Zimmer, sonst nur Schubladenfächer. Und offene Kleiderständer mit Bügeln. Persönliche Utensilien fürs Zähne putzen u.a. müssen immer wieder mit ins Zimmer und dort z.T. auf die Fensterbank gelegt werden. Die Betten sind trotz großer Zimmer für ältere Menschen zu schmal. Für wie wenig Geld könnte man diese misslichen Zustände und ohne großen Aufwand deutlich verbessern? Bei einer Einnahme pro Übernachtung von 300 GBP! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt - um Vergleich zu deutschen Miet-Appartements - überhaupt nicht.

• Pemola (10/5): Very cosy, clean and good restaurants nearby - Loved the freebie cupboard and really appreciated the host letting us leave our luggage in the space while we explored the city on the day we departed. It was very kind. The host responded to all my questions in a timely fashion. Most of the street is uninhabited for “to let” signs everywhere. It was about a 25 min walk into the city.

• Rhys (8/5): We had a lovely time. - The location was excellent. Even though the area was quite busy, the double glazing kept the apartment quiet. The bedrooms were very comfortable. A lounge room would have been nice. The only place to watch television was in the kitchen and there was no convenient sofa.

The host was so accommodating leaving us to have late check out and held on to our bags until 6 in the evening. I will definitely be recommending this accommodation to family and friends Everything was just perfect

• Philippa (7/5): Comfy and adequate - Easy. Was given access information before I arrived. So the process was seamless. There was a chip in one of the mugs. 2 pillows per person would be good. The floors could have been a little cleaner. There was a bit of a stale smell around the apartment. Pot pourri wasn't great (front larger bedroom) - diffusers wiukd have been better.
• Melina (9/5): This property was the perfect home-away-from-home in one of my favorite cities in the world. - We were close to many of the activities that we wanted to do while in Edinburgh, but far enough away so you didn’t feel claustrophobic with the crowds. The bus stops were close if we didn’t feel like walking. The contact person was very helpful and friendly and responded to our questions quickly. You can get any type of food you could possibly want at the nearby restaurants and there are several grocery shops close by. Fluffy towels and comfy beds made coming “home” each day nice.
• Ruth (7/5): Weekend break - The apartment was spacious and the facilities were good, nice size bedrooms. The propwrty contacts were very helpful at all times It was a very quiet area The sofa was very lumpy and not comfortable at all. The duvet on one of the beds wasn't great. The apartment was a little grubby in places, could do with repainting in areas, and the shower was a bit old and tired. It was further out of the city than we would have liked, but a very quiet area.

• Carmel (10/5): Great location, easy access, clean and comfortable - Apartment was easy to access, plenty of space, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the shower was a challenge getting in and out, not easy for people with mobility issues.
• Paul (8/5): A good value for money property in reasonable walking distance of the sights. - Position was good. A quiet area. Rooms were a good size and the whole property was clean and comfortable. Wi-fi was excellent and other facilities were very good. Communication with owner was good and access arrangements very efficient. Beds were comfortable and everything ‘worked’! No real complaints! The fridge was noisy but the walls are old and thick so it didn’t really bother us at night. Shower room was quite tight but we weren’t paying luxury prices!
