- ebony (8/5): - The location, the view, the amenities. King size bed was a little hard, but the view made up for it. đ
- Mark (9/5): Would we stay again? Definitely - Excellent communication with host
Great location overlooking a bay (from the verandah and front of house)
Sunny
Peaceful
Two decent sized bedrooms for four adults
Full kitchen facilities
Comfortable sitting area for four adults
Dining table for four adults
Wallabies in the garden at dusk
Good shower with lots of hot water for four adults
Washing machine There was no space to store six days worth of food - all cupboards were used for the well-stocked kitchen items
There was no heater for the first morning - we knew the heat pump was being fixed later that day but it was a cold morning with no alternative heater provided
A tumble drier would be a welcome addition to this otherwise well-appointed cottage
- Colin (10/5): Had a great time. Very handy to Bruny Pub - Facilities were excellent, kitchen well equipped. Lovely setting over looking Danielâs Bay, very quiet. N/a
- Markus (10/5): A clear recommendation â a top cottage at Daniel Bay - The location is perfect: close to everything on South Bruny, yet far enough from the main roads to be wonderfully peaceful. Apart from a few locals and the other cottage guests, hardly anyone passes by. What impressed us most was how thoughtfully everything is set up. There are mosquito screens on the windows and the door, heat lamps in the bathroom, plenty of pillows, and a very wellâequipped kitchen. There was not only a salt and pepper grinder, but also aluminium foil and even a sandwich maker. In the evenings, up to seven pademelons gathered around our cottage â absolutely magical. Daniel Bay can be explored at low tide via a small path just 100 metres away. We would have loved to stay longer. This is truly one of the best places you can book in the area. It was fantastic!!
- Susan (10/5): Great view across Daniels Bay - Clean, well equipped, lots of wildlife. Uninterrupted views across Daniels Bay. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed
- Meredith (9/5): A fantastic water view if youâre just relaxing and convenient location on South Bruny. - View, location and comfortable. Nothing
- bob (8/5): pleasant - Pretty location, nice cottage, spacious and comfortable Bit of a drive to Adventure bay, and penguin colony
- Mark (9/5): - Great location and views. Only 2 odd shaped table wine glasses.
- Maciej (9/5): - Exceptionally clean, well equipped. It took me a while to realize that Aircon is used for heating. It is better to have instructions. Same for a kind of contraption that seems to be for heating mattress under the bedsheets
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location with great view. Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed.
- Kathryn (7/5): Good - Location was ideal, with water view. Washing machine. More cooking vessels and implements would have been nice to facilitate cooking meals.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful little cottage in a wonderful location, overlooking the channel at Lunawanna. Quiet, very clean and comfortable and really well set up. A very peaceful, relaxing place, we sat and watched the changing views for ages. Really helpful management. Thank you for a great stay! Nothing!!
- Penelope (10/5): Wonderful! - Terrific position for the wonderful views and access to all of Bruny.
Well equipped to self cater Nothing
- Wyss (9/5): Thank you for providing such a lovely place for us. We enjoyed a nice relaxing week at your place. - The property is located in a great location overlooking the bay. Can you please put a number on the cottage. We eventually worked it out, but it took two trips up and down the road and a check whether the key code worked to be sure we had the right address. đ
- Jacque (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (8/5): Very good - Rockpool Cottage is perfect for a relaxing few days. The view there is spectacular and we watched the changing tides, with the sun on water and through trees bringing both strong and subtle colours for our delight.
We saw the local Tasmanian walking bird, some black cockatoos, lots of tiny blue wrens , small wallabies, and other native species, all with the backdrop of Danielâs Bay. Lunawanna has
- John (9/5): A very spacious and comfortable cottage in a lovely location. - We found the cottage comfortable and spotlessly clean. the location was excellent and we enjoyed the wildlife. The sunsets from the cottage were magnificent. Two of the power points were not working. The was no name plate saying Rockpool Cottage. The front steps need a handrail. some hooks would be useful as there is nowhere to hang wet towels.
- Jeanette (9/5): A magical stay - Fantastic location would have stayed longer if we had more time in Tasmania. Was virtually perfect
- Amberandmark (10/5): Peaceful and tranquil - Everything you need, exactly as you see in the pictures, great location, clean, peaceful, comfortable. We loved everything.
- Thao (9/5): Superb -
- Max (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (8/5): Very good - N/A Rather than entering around the back, a person choose to use the front steps and found that if there had been a handrail, it would have been much easier.
- Philippa (9/5): Stunning views, fabulous location. - Excellent location, close to everything on South Bruny - many walks and lovely beaches. Loved relaxing on the front verandah and taking in the stunning views. Best tv every night was the pademelons on the front lawn. Very comfortable house with everything you need provided. Super clean and well appointed. Loved our stay here. Wish it could have been longer. Would have loved some hooks or shelves in the bathroom.
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful quiet location with a great view.
The cottage was clean and tidy, with the nice addition of books, board games and toys for the kids to play with (this was well received by our 2 young children).
- John (8/5): Very good - Well appointed house Dirt road access, especially for hire cars.
- Christine (9/5): A comfortable cottage with a serene outlook. - It had a fabulous outlook, view was gorgeous especially for sunsets.
Comfortable amenities including the bed in the main bedroom. Not clean on front deck but difficult with dirt road. Cobwebs on deck seating
No wifi available
- Kate (10/5): Was a beautiful location, so peaceful and we could stare at the changing tides all day. - The location was amazing. Surrounded by wildlife, peace and tranquility - views for days Nothing to dislike
- Alison (10/5): We loved the amazing view and just how peaceful it was. - How well equipped it was. We loved the vast array of board games, books and DVDâs. It probably couldâve been a little bit cleaner and the front steps could do with a rail.
- Katie (8/5): Very good - The location was excellent. Lovely view of the bay. Property was mostly clean but some surfaces quite dusty and tea cups had stains which was off-putting. The front door was broken which meant that we couldnât access the verandah from the cottage which was annoying. We had to access the balcony from the side door. I contacted management upon check-in who said they would try to arrange someone to look it but no-one arrived and I was never contacted again. Given this was the main feature of the property the fact that the door didnât operate was frustrating.
- Carol (9/5): Only had 2 nights but very good accommodation -
- Janet (9/5): A relaxing and comfortable place to stay with a great view. - Great location right near the water. Beautiful view. It was fine.
- Bruce (8/5): Ideal cottage for the two days - Nice warm clean cottage
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mr (9/5): Very peaceful seafront location with magnificent views and lovely, clean property; would definitely stay here again. - Superb view from front verandah and very peaceful outdoor surroundings. All amenities were terrific, with ample cooking/kitchen utensils and condiments provided. Rear BBQ worked a treat and very clean premises.
- Coco (8/5): This vacation seaside cottage is truly a charming holiday destination! It is located in the midst of nature, away from t - fresh air and quietly no Wifi , shower water pressure not enough
- Sarah-jayne (10/5): Excellent location and very clean and comfortable. - Excellent location, perfect views, quiet, very clean and comfortable.
- Vanessa (8/5): Very good -
- Lynch (8/5): A perfectly peaceful place. - Location - so close to a beautiful beach - we got in the water 3 times during our 2 night stay.
Very clean and tidy. Comfortable and visually appealing A way to separate the beds into two singles. Not sure how we could have communicated this on the website as our teenage kids didn't want to share a bed. The pictures showed single bed set ups.
No colander to drain pasta although kitchen was mostly well equipped.
- Karen (10/5): A terrific spot to stay on Bruny. - Great quiet location with a fabulous water view. The accommodation was extremely clean and very well equipped. Everything was super. The accommodation is quite new. A handrail at the front steps would be helpful. One of our group suffers from arthritis and would have benefited from having a rail - just a suggestion mentioned by this person.
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathy (9/5): Lovely..peaceful cottage with great views - The location is great...with awesome views overlooking bay...close to Alonnah. House very well stocked...newly renovated. Bin outside for rubbish
