Ich durfte vor dem offiziellen Check-in einchecken und habe sogar ein kostenfreies Upgrade bekommen, da aufgrund des Zyklons weniger Besucher als gewöhnlich dort waren. Die Unterkunft war top sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage in Turangi ist perfekt und der Gastgeber hat gute Tips für kleinere Ausflüge gegeben. Ich kann Tongariro Junction zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

steven (10/5): Top class motel - Room was extremely tidy and UpTo date.Actually looked really nice .Good layout and staff were nice to let me check in at 10:30 pm . That I only stayed there one night and not two and I was only stopping in to sleep on my way to Auckland
Ellie (8/5): Great stay for the Tongariro crossing hike!! - Great for a short stay, easy to get to the Tongariro crossing and was great to be able to come back to a comfy bed after the hike. Was also really great that there was air con, and a small kitchen. Walls are thin, so if you’re a light sleeper you may hear your neighbours.

The location was great and close to Tongariro Alpine Crossing which was the main reason for our stay! New world was just across the street! The room is a little outdated and the bed was not as comfortable but good enough for our two night stay!

Good for a one-nighter. As a solo traveller it was fine, think more people would be crowded (though there were extra beds).

Elizabeth (9/5): Great spot for Tongariro Crossing - Great spot to be based for the Tongariro crossing, only a 20min drive away. The gentleman who checked us in was lovely and made it as easy as possible despite it being quite late in the evening. Little kitchen to prepare snacks. No notes!

I liked the amenities in the room and was impressed with the comfortable chairs in the living room area. The housekeeping staff were friendly and happy to assist with requests - like additional milk. Only a few points that do not detract from our otherwise exceptional experience: - The power plugs at the sides of the beds were hard to reach for phone chargers etc. - I would have liked a better shampoo/conditioner setup - as the little sachets were difficult to use and very small. - When house keeping are working on the rooms they leave a lot of unsightly equipment on the benches in front of the rooms.

It’s close to the grocery store, a pub and a walking path around the lake but there is not much else in that area. No hairdryer.

Lisa (9/5): - Close to several restaurants and a grocery store. Very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen facilities in room are adequate. When you take a shower , there is no shower curtain or basin to contain water , so the floor is completely wet after shower- they do provide a squeegee which clears most of water off of floor, but floor is still wet. The second room does not get very cool because the A/C is in main room ( which does get very cool).

Michael (8/5): Well run, clean motel that exceeds expectations. - Modern and freshly painter interior, clean, big bathroom with and excellent shower. Friendly staff at check in. Fresh towels provided after 2 days. At the end of the day it’s a motel so it’s a pretty anonymous place to stay. But it is a very good motel. One small quibble is that there is only one electric pot to cook with along with a microwave so difficult to cook a multi part meal.

The little unit I was in was very clean and the water pressure was awesome, it's not the Ritz but it is right up there, definitely recommend..
