Guest Reviews
- Sue (8/5): Short stay whilst up North visiting family - Very well stocked kitchen for cooking meals, loved the bath and bedrooms. Nothing property great.😊
Road outside very narrow not good for parking bigger cars., however this is mentioned in description.
- Jemila (8/5): Lovely stay in cute home close to city centre - Excellent location
House had everything we needed
Free parking
Lovely gift of bottle of wine and chocolate biscuits!
- david (7/5): - It was convenient to get to town and area was nice.
Cars parked either side of the already narrow road made access by car a scary experience for me as we used the car daily, there was very little parking available in nearby streets Owners really emphasized not damaging the property and leaving it in good condition which to their crdit showed that they care BUT as they acknowledged most people dont abuse the property and neither would we so felt a bit negative to be told not to.
As above re the narrow acces dow the road to the property
- Wendy (10/5): authentic neighborhood close to the town centre - location everything was great
- William (10/5): Comfortable stay in the heart of Chester - Really nice accommodation, has everything you need and very comfortable. Location couldn't have been better, less than a 10min walk into town with a very nice wine bar just down the road There was some noise from people returning from Christmas festivities but you can't really complain about that
- Lynne (10/5): - ideal location, comfortable beds, lounge, ideal equipped kitchen wish we had longer, felt like home No negatives for this property
- Yolande (10/5): Perfect for a short break - Perfect location, clean and well equipped kitchen.
Host left a lovely bottle of red wine. Nothing
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Lukasz (10/5): Felt like a true home away from home. - Cozy, comfortable, very clean. Very well equipped kitchen and smalll details, like pillows, blankets.
- Stephanie (10/5): Great 2 nights in a cosy cottage close to town - The cottage was 10 mins walk to the city centre, close to the river, pubs, shops and restaurants.
It was clean, very comfortable, kitchen well stocked and lovely with the log burner going. Nothing, we had a great stay
- Mike (10/5): -
- Helen (9/5): -
- Beth (8/5): Loved it would recommend to friends thank you. - Great location - lovely presentation it was perfect for us The wall lights in the lounge didn’t really give out any light and the electric sockets in the back bedroom kept sparking when we plugged anything in
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Nigel (8/5): Very good - It was a nice stay for the weekend. The kitchen was very good with plenty of equipment. And my wife did enjoy the back garden Nothing major my only small observation was what to do with the rubbish as there was no clear information in your welcome pack. The bins was outside the front of the house in the end it was decided to leave the rubbish in the bin in the house .. sorry if this caused issues.
- Veronica (10/5): Happy - Great taste home design&decor, cleanliness, quiet, comfortable, cozy I enjoyed everything
- Alberto (10/5): Beautiful house close to city centre - Great stay Everything was perfect
- Catharine (9/5): Superb -
- Iona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (9/5): I would stay here again - It was comfortable & a great location with a few mins walk to town There was a a bottle of wine & cake as a gift & after a long journey items were left to make a cup of tea or coffee Any queries the owners were quick to respond I think there should have been more information on certain things Like how to put heating on when cold & let the visitor know that there was a gift for them The parking was awful the road was narrow & no places left for the vehicle
- Mccann (9/5): Superb - Lovely host, great location Everything was good 👍
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gareth (9/5): Superb -
- Joseph (9/5): Ideal for our purposes, recommended - Very clean, great location, well presented
- Dj (10/5): Clean comfortable with great helpful hosts, perfect for what we required - Great Hosts friendly and couldn't do enough to help & ensure we had everything we needed.
- Amanda (9/5): Mini-break Pyecroft Cottage - An attentive host with a 'welcome' gift is always a good start to a stay 😊
There was a very useful folder with information regarding the use of the WiFi & heating plus information about local activities.
The TV was straightforward to use.
Really appreciated there being coffee/milk, condiments and cleaning products available on arrival.
There was a dishwasher (& dishwasher tablets) and a washing machine which we didn't use but handy for guests staying a little longer.
There's nothing we felt was missing. It doesn't affect what we thought of the accommodation itself, but I would possibly advise to park in neighbouring streets as this street has a dead end, on our departure there was a big van (double) parked on the side of the road which made it tricky to reserve out of the street.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent and the communication from the owners.
- Xana (9/5): Perfect weekend away. - Cute and cosy with all the essentials.
- Andrew (9/5): Lovely cottage - Great little cottage for a couples getaway! Has 2 bedrooms but you might find the kitchen/living room a bit snug if 4 adults were there.
Great location to walk into Chester center.
Really nicely decorated. Only 2 things, we had to source our own wood for the fire as none was left.
While there was enough parking, the road was very narrow and difficult/impossible to turn around if you have a car bigger than a hatchback.
- Carolanne (10/5): Great position, very friendly hosts. - I loved that we were able to leave the car and walk to town very easily. Nothing.
- Jacquelyn (9/5): Perfect little holiday home and very close to Chester, shops, restaurants and more. - Cosy home with all amenities. Parking was ok but a bit of a challenge as very narrow road.
- Rebecca (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! - It’s so nice and clean while being situated in the most convenient location Nothing we loved everything
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, nicely decorated and furnished with great facilities.
- Margaret (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (10/5): A place perfect for a girly weekend in Chester - Small but perfectly formed. The house had everything needed for a weekend stay. It’s close to the city centre, parking easy and a quiet area so good to relax Even better if - add a coffee machine . We did had an issue with the hot water but all
Sorted really quickly .
- Lucy (9/5): Brilliant stay - Brilliant communication from the host. Lovely warm and well equipped property. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Easy walk into Chester across the bridge. Some pubs and a small Asda nearby. Free parking on street. Yes the street is fairly narrow to park in, but there were loads of spaces and it is a dead end so you can take your time when parking up. Would definitely stay here again in future. Although the bed was comfortable, the metal frame was very squeaky. We've let the hosts know as I'm sure they can fix that.
- David (10/5): We were looking for a homely property, with easy access to be able to walk into Chester. - Lovely quiet location, within easy walk of the City Centre. We felt the house was perfect for a weekend stay, it was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely look to stay there again. This is a minor point, it can't be changed but just be aware. The road is a no through road and it is quite narrow especially as cars need to park on both sides. So to you have to reverse the car down the length of the road. Just take it easy, and should not be considered as a major issue.
- Gary (9/5): Nice and peaceful - Location, very clean and cosy was just what we wanted
Thanks Gary and Debbie Nothing, all good.
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Naomi (8/5): Very good -
- Sydney (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): Very comfortable and will 100% use again. Thank you - The property was in a great location for the centre of Chester. It was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely use again. No issues at all
- Mubeen (9/5): Staycation Bliss - Cleanliness and amenities were absolutely top class. Quirky, qaint terraced cottage with everything you need for a short staycation. Clearly refurbished very recently too. Parking on the street is an issue as it is extremely narrow, with cars being parked on both sides and it being a dead end at the end of the street too. Once you are parked up, you don't want to leave as you feel like it's not worth the hassle of losing your spot and having reverse into the street again.
- Paul (5/5): Passable - We liked the location. Nice and quiet Couldn't get on with the furniture in living room. We both have bad backs knees sciatica and we came away with more pain than we arrived with. I'm afraid we need a bit more support and comfort . Partly our own fault .should have looked at pictures more closely before booking. Beautiful little cottage though and you need better instructions fir the recycling and getting hot water working. We spent wasted time trying to figure this out very unclear
