Fabio (10/5): Lovely stay! Recommend 10/10!! - The owner was one of the nicest people we’ve met in Central America so far. The kitchen is very modern and clean, he even has in air frier in there which I think might be the only air frier in whole Central America! The facilities are clean and there is water in the fridge which is safe to drink. He even drove us to the bus stop the next morning!! Very good value for what you’re paying. Not the hotels fault- but the address is false in google maps. Either use apple maps or call beforehand. It should be in an alley coming from a road which has a big church on the corner.

Katrin (3/5): A horrible night - The host is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean. We stayed one night here. The room is very basic, just the beds and one dresser. The room sleeps three, however there is space for one bag, no more. We just left our luggage in the car and just took to the room what we needed. The night was very warm. The fan is super noisy, the air condition did not cool, the opening of the patio door invited moscitos in our room and anybody walking through the yard could watch us sleep which was creepy. It has been a horrible night. The yard doubles a garage, the bars and big fences give a prison feeling.

Kirk (8/5): For a quick turnaround, this was better than a busier, noisier hostel. Safe and the Price is right. - Location a little tricky to find (host picked me up by car at a nearby hotel). Quiet and safe! Excellent hosts. Easy to walk to store, park, neighborhood restaurants. Host washed and folded my clothes for a small fee. No complaints. Felt safe in a gated/locked well-lit alley access. Contractors were working and stopped early.

Santino (8/5): Homely hostel with a welcoming, gentleman of an owner - Cute little independent hostel. Booked a room last minute at 7:00 due to missing a bus. On arrival the room was under minor remodelling. Manuel, the owner, was more than accommodating and said he will get it ready for us and give us a discount for our troubles. We went to get some food and on return the room was clean and well presented. On top of this, in the morning we have a 8:10 bus to Puerto Viejo where he offered to drop us off to the station. The hostel is more like that of a home which we liked. Manuel is a gentleman who makes sure that your stay is as best a possible. This makes up for the non-hostel vibe of the property. We were tired from a day of travelling specially after missing a bus and arriving in Liberia with no clue where to stay. I'm glad that the room was still available on Booking.com (even with it going under remodelling) as our experience was welcoming.
