• Tami (10/5): A fantastic place in a great spot in Sorrento. - This was a great choice of a place to stay! Right in the city center but quiet later at night. Had a lovely terrace to enjoy. Michelangelo was the perfect host. He greeted us, helped with luggage and explained everything to us. This made all the difference! Had water and coffee waiting for us as well. Such a lovely experience. Highly recommend!
• Mary (10/5): We can’t wait to go back! - From the location and property to the most wonderful host, everything was perfect! The apartment was spacious, super clean, and very comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. To get to the apartment, you walk through the lovely private terrace with plenty of seating to start your day with a cappuccino and end your day with a glass of wine. The first floor is the living room and dining room with two couches and large table and chairs for a meal. Then, down a few stairs is the fully stocked kitchen, a half bathroom, and two bedrooms. A few more stairs down from there is the master bedroom which was fantastic and so comfortable and a full modern bathroom. The property had everything we could want. The property is located in the center of town above several restaurants, including one that has an amazing singer until 10 pm every night. You can hear him on the terrace or can go down and listen to him. He is wonderful. In addition to a ton of restaurants, there are streets and alleys filled with stores for shopping, grabbing a gelato, picking up groceries, pharmacies, and bars. Now on to the highlight of our stay: our host Michelangelo. From before we arrived until the very end, he was truly fantastic. He was always available to help us with anything and everything. He booked several adventures for us when plans changed (an evening cooking class, a full day boat ride) and helped us with a driver to get us back to Rome. He also provided a list of recommendations before we arrived filled with places to eat and drink. He made our trip exceptional! We can’t wait to go back! Thank you Michelangelo for making Sorrento our new favorite place! Nothing, we truly loved everything!

• Kristyn (9/5): Wonderful stay in Sorrento City Centre ❤️ - The central location made this property ideal for visiting Sorrento. It was spotless, comfortable and the air conditioning worked brilliantly (so important in July!). The patio is spacious and well appointed with furniture. Michelangelo was the most gracious and accommodating host. Our sunset boat tour (not included with apartment but arranged with host) was breathtaking and fun. Great spot for traveling with teens (son and daughter) as they had private bedrooms. Wonderful time spent with family, highly, highly recommend. The stairs might be a challenge for people with limited mobility, although not a problem for us. There is no sea view, but it is a quick and easy walk to sweeping views.

The air con & wifi worked consistently well . The terrace was delightful to sit on & enjoy the music from the street below with sweet smelling jasmine . Beds were comfy . Michaelangelo texted every day to see if we were ok & gave us a list of recommendations for restaurant with directions . We went on his boat trip to Capri & Positano & it’s was so much fun & worth every penny for the special memories you will make , highly recommend booking it . We were completely happy . There are stairs into the property but Michaelangelo met us & helped carry luggage in & out .
• Tracy (10/5): Absolutely fabulous stay at Maison Desiderio- exceeded our expectations! - The apartment was fabulous in EVERY way! The location couldn't have been better- central, convenient, and perfect for exploring the area. Everything is a short walk from the apartment. There is a wonderful breakfast spot (Mimi's) that is a minute walk from the apartment that we went to every day. The apartment itself was spotless, incredibly spacious, and the terrace was truly a highlight- a wonderful place to relax at the end of a long day. Michelangelo was outstanding! He was super helpful not just during our stay, but even in the months leading up to our visit as we were planning our trip. We also did a boat tour of Capri with him, which turned out to be one of the best days of our vacation. His deep knowledge of the area, having lived there his whole life, made the experience even more special. He had fantastic recommendations and really went above and beyond to ensure that we had the most enjoyable time in Sorrento. His personal touch made us feel like we had our own concierge and contributed to our enjoyable stay. Book this place ASAP! Not one single thing! Everything was perfect!
• Alan (10/5): Great Host and Stay in Sorrento - Home was centrally located in the heart of Sorrento. You can literally walk to anything. Home was bright and had a large porch where we sat out and enjoyed many beverages. Michelangelo is the Host and he is absolutely amazing. Any question you have he is always available to answer. We also chartered a boat with Michelangelo twice and both experiences were great! There was nothing we didn't like but this may help you out when booking. Apartment is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath. There is one double bed and 2 single beds. There are stairs up to the apartment and there are stairs in the unit.

• Deirdre (10/5): Exceptional - Mason Desiderio is a wonderful place to stay while in Sorrento, very spacious and clean, it is centrally located and short walks to the port, bus and train station also restaurant's and shops. Michelangelo is a superhost and very helpful. I highly recommend when visiting Sorrento.

If we needed anything he was very accommodating. It was my 60th birthday while there and he bought a cake with candles and had it waiting for us that night to celebrate. I highly recommend to stay there.

• Patricia (9/5): It was fun, relaxing and quiet even though we were in the heart of the action. - The property was in the heart of town. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Air conditioning was appreciated. Michelangelo was an eager host. He greeted us promptly upon arrival in town and escorted us directly to the property and reviewed operations and access to everything. He was, also, a safe boat captain, escorting us on a full day private excursion to Capri. Stairs to access property and to descend to other levels inside. Wouldn’t have been an issue but I sustained a knee injury earlier in my trip.
• Gales (10/5): Perfect - Michaelangelo was fantastic. Very informative of all the places to see and do and where to eat. Accommodation is perfectly situated in the centre of everything - overlooking bars but didn't disturb sleeping. Fabulous terrace, perfect for prosecco in the evening listening to the live music He met us and even carried our very heavy suitcases up the stairs. Sorrento is a beautiful stop on our way down the Amalfi coast. Very helpful with an issue unrelated to our stay, he went above and beyond.

• Sarah (10/5): Central, spacious and exceptional owners - The location is SO central, just steps from all the bars and restaurants. Cars aren’t allowed within a few streets of the apartment, but the owner Michelangelo helped us with our luggage from and to the closest square that cars are able to access, which was so helpful. The apartment has everything you need. Michelangelo even left us water, and got us a brand new cot, sheets and 2 packets of pampers for our baby! Just amazing service. The terrace is huge and lovely, lots of sun or shade if needed. Perfect for families! It is a 5 min walk to where cars are allowed, and there are a couple of flights of stairs up to the front door - fine as the owners can help with luggage, but just something to bear in mind for elderly/pushchairs.

Restaurants and shops are at your doorstep. Wish we had more time to enjoy the patio, we were on the go from when we got there. Michelangelo was an incredible host. He met us in a central location and took us to the apt. He helped us schedule a boat trip to Capri and provided many restaurant recommendations. All that we tried were delicious. Everywhere was walkable. The apt was very comfortable & spacious. Nothing not to like.

It is in such a great location and Michelangelo met with us at a meeting point only a couple of minutes away to greet and show us the way to the property. The house is great for a group and made for a very comfortable stay. It’s right in the centre of Sorrento but it feels very private and you can’t hear the noise. Michelangelo sent through a list of recommendations which was really helpful as well and made sure to check we were ok. Will definitely be staying again.

It was very well equipped and we enjoyed the beautiful outside terrace to relax on. Michelangelo was the perfect highly attentive host and went above and beyond in advising us on local trips and always quick to respond to our messages. Fantastic stay!! Nothing at all.
• Andy (10/5): A wonderful week in a wonderful place. - The location is perfect, you could not get a better location in the middle of everything in Sorrento and the beach clubs are only a 5 minute walk. Our host Michelangelo was wonderful and helped us with excellent recommendations for food - some of the best restaurants we have been to. He also brought extra towels and was available if we needed anything else. Someone helped us to and from our taxis on check-in and check-out. The apartment is really spacious and has a good sized kitchen. Air conditioning is great in the places you need it. The design of the bathrooms is particularly good. There was nothing we didn’t like in this apartment and we would visit again for sure.

Superb design of master bathroom serving master bedroom. Second and third bedrooms share air conditioning unit outside the bedrooms, but the unit is so powerful and effective it cools the rooms very quickly.

He was also super helpful in arranging transfers for us. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. When coming back to Sorrento we would definitely stay here again. From a British viewpoint a kettle and iron facilities would be an advantage but we easily coped without them…certainly didn’t impact our stay !!!

• Eddie (10/5): Perfect can't be beat location of this apartment in Sorrento - Look, the bottom line is the location simply can not be beat. There is a round portal window that opens, and you are looking out at all the people walking by. Yes you can hear all the noise - even from music below you and things can stay open until midnight but the bedrooms are down the stairs and in the back so you do not hear the noise when you sleep - so you get the best of both worlds. Near the action but beds that are isolated - especially when the fan in the rooms is going. All rooms have separate AC units. When we come back to the Amalfi Coast this is the place we will be staying in the future Maybe he can stock up some things a bit more - a bit more toilet paper and a few more towels, but this is minor, and the place is awesome. Also the place has lots of stairs both getting into the apartment and going down to the bedrooms but this does not bother us at all and the payoff is fantastic 2nd floor views out the portal window to a central square and the nice isolation of the bedrooms.

• Kate (10/5): Perfect house in the perfect spot with a great host. - The location and house are perfect - a very large house in the very center of Sorrento. And still, so quiet and peaceful. Just my partner and I stayed, though would be very comfortable for a small family or group of people. Clean and beautiful and spacious. Michelangelo was friendly, helpful and very quick to respond. I’d recommend his place to anyone traveling to Sorrento. I was lucky to stay there and you would be, too!

• James (10/5): An amazing family holiday at a very reasonable price - The property was immaculate, very spacious (more so than some of the photographs would have you believe – with an extremely generous living and dining area in particular) and situated right in the centre of Sorrento’s historical old town. In addition, Michelangelo (the owner) who as a local knows the area extremely well was always on hand if required to give advice and help out with anything related to our holiday. It is also worth noting that Michelangelo holds a skipper’s license and is able to offer tailored, personal speedboat tours of the local coastline and Capri island. We spent the most amazing day at sea on one of the boats exploring the coastline of Capri at an extremely reasonable cost Nothing - it exceeded all of our expectations
