- Tanya (10/5): - I appreciate your hospitality and your home. Thankyou for having my daughter and I. I appreciate your generosity, the coffee, tea, cookies and the lovely breakfast. Your old fashioned hospitality is noticed and appreciated! We enjoyed the area you call home, when we return we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Thankyou
- Kevin (10/5): -
- Yevhen (10/5): An interesting place, unlike most others. Friendly hosts. - I had a special request regarding the check-in time, and the hosts kindly accommodated me. Everything was organized perfectly. My room was clean, tidy, and had all the amenities as advertised. I really liked the interior — it’s not something you see very often. I would definitely choose this place again without hesitation if I have the chance.
And by the way, Dawn, thank you again for the breakfast! In my opinion, the mattress was not the most comfortable, or maybe just different from what I’m used to.
- Sandra (10/5): -
- Derek (10/5): - Beautiful location, amazing staff, facilities, and food. Loved the shared history and unique trinkets throughout the building.
Hand-made Jewelry and jarred goods. Mountain view
Wish I could have stayed longer to explore and experience the beautiful building.
- JHodg (10/5): - Great breakfast! Neat old building with fun antique decor, and wonderful family running this small bed and breakfast inn.
- John (10/5): I hope to stay at Country Encounters again next spring! - Location perfect for exploring/walking after a long day of travel.

- Dave (10/5): - Very pleasant place to stay. Nothing.
- Thierry (10/5): Overall, the service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the stay very comfortable. - The breakfast was exceptional, clean, fresh, and offering a wonderful variety of options. It was truly a great way to start the day Everything was fine
Overall, the service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the stay very comfortable. Everything was handled professionally and exceeded expectations.
- Greg (8/5): - great breakfast and good coffee. Host was friendly and had lots of travel stories. nice room and comfortable bed.
- Qi (8/5): Wonderful vintage home and great breakfast - This is a great vintage home with lots of characters. The owner keeps the original flavour of the home as munch as possible and adds modern convenience. The breakfast was made by the owner which is outstanding! The owner also lives on site and is available to help. The location is close to the museum in town and other attractions in the Crowsnest Pass. I recommend to stay here for a day or two to learn the coal mining history of Canada. The building could use some more safety features like warning strips for stairs. We have witnessed several near misses of trips and falls during our stay.
- Freddy (10/5): -

- Bruce Jamieson (9/5): - Excellent breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere
- Jessica (10/5): -

- William (10/5): Delightful place to stay - unique experience - Comfortable and very clean room in a heritage building. We were in the "1920's Room" with corner winds and dining nook so it was especially heritage. Being right in the town core, it is a refreshing change from facilities along the highway. Close to restaurants. The included full breakfast is great. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Nothing to not like. We were nervous about being close to the railroad but the sound of trains was strangely unobtrusive - they seem to idle through town without sounding horn or bells so actually soothing.
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was well kept. The view from the upstairs patio was perfect to watch the sun set. Breakfast was exceptional! Nothing
- Teresa (9/5): Loved this B&B - beautiful heritage building and amazing breakfast. Dawn was extremely helpful and friendly! - Value for $. Welcoming, friendly host and excellent breakfast! Nothing.
- Dayce (10/5): I loved it here was a wonderful place to stay so quiet and very clean. The host was spectacular. We would come here agai - Clean and quiet great hosts and great breakfast Clean and quiet
- Abby (9/5): Lovely, quaint little stay! - The building and amenities were fantastic. Felt very homey, like staying at a grandparents house. My partner and I enjoyed the back patio space the evening we stayed, which was fantastic. The common room area was well equipped with books and a tv and a large comfy couch. There was nothing I needed and could not get or find. She also has a little coffee station with homemade cookies open for use whenever! The breakfast she makes in the morning is lovely, as well. The beds were not the most comfortable but not terrible. Other than that, not much to complain about!
- Richard (10/5): restorative - Great people, excellent food, great overall experience 👍 Nothing
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): Beyond excellent and far surpassed our expectations. - I would give this place 11/10 if I could.
The owners were beyond fantastic and the accommodations were amazing. Well definitely stay there again anytime we are passing through. The owners are incredibly good hosts.
- Frederick (10/5): Chill B n B - Breakfast awesome, great proprietors on site. Beautiful area . Thanks for the tip to visit the falls near Frank. That we only had.1 night
- James (9/5): Was very enjoyable. - Rustic setting. Staff is very willing to help in any way they can. Homemade cookies and big delicious breakfast.
- Dorothy (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Staff was very warm and welcoming. Accommodation is an "inn" in the old-fashioned sense and quite lovely. Comfortable, pleasant communal spaces. The owners have clearly worked at finding ways to make the place a success, and it is nice to see family businesses that have continued to thrive in the small towns of the Crowsnest Pass. It's always nice to have a bit of choice for breakfast, and there wasn't much choice. Small repairs in room (e.g., door handles) could improve presentation (and functionality!)
- Alma (9/5): A lovely get-away place, most delicious breakfast. - In a quaint town on the rebound; nicely redecorated yet in period style.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dena (10/5): Exceptional - What a gorgeous place to stay! Every member of staff was friendly and helpful and we'll definitely be back! Loki was also a very sweet and friendly assistant manager :) Everything was magnificent!

- Vikki (10/5): Exceptional - Charming inn with breakfast included in a quaint mountain town. It had so much character, rooms were great and a great lounge to chill in. would highly recommend. Owners were friendly, helpful and food was amazing.
- Valentyna (10/5): Exceptional - A must-stay when visiting Coleman! This historic hotel lets you truly feel the spirit of the town's past. The building is full of character, and the atmosphere takes you back in time. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a unique and memorable experience Nothing
- Carrie (10/5): A great experience - The clerk was so accommodating and wonderful!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Alicia (10/5): Feels like home - Very friendly and welcoming! Felt like I was staying at my grandmas. I felt at home.
- Brent (9/5): Quiet, comfortable, cozy, warm & safe with all the amenities one would require. - I had to leave much earlier than breakfast times but Nicole packed an amazing meal in a bag for me beyond what I expected, thank you Nicole.
I believe next time I will plan my trip differently and stay for breakfast as I hear it is amazing. Not a major item but as a business traveler a small desk or table(even a fold away) to work on is handy but did not take away from the overall wonderful atmosphere, experience or comfort of the room and facility.
- Adams (10/5): Exceptional - Love the beautiful facilities, amazing delicious breakfast. Lovely host. I look forward to returning. Their catering is amazing as well.
- Tyler (9/5): Cozy stay w great service in this family-run BnB, loved the sauna after a day of skiing! - Amazing and huge breakfast!

The location, the vibe, the building, room, breakfast and of course the hosts Dawn and Mark are just good people. Almost stayed in air bnb.. so glad we didn't! Wish we could have stayed longer. It was so relaxing.

- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (8/5): A delightful heritage guest house. - Flexible breakfast time with Freshly cooked breakfast of eggs Benedict. Dawn was lovely, approachable and friendly. Bed was comfortable. Entrance lobby was a bit muddled and, therefore, first impressions Didn’t reflect the rest of the place. We had a bedroom with a window onto a shared deck which was being used by other guests so we had to keep our blinds down. I would have liked to have natural light coming in.
- Ade (10/5): Friendly and informally run accommodation. A relaxing place to stay. - Accommodation was comfortable, spacious and very clean.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Warm welcome and everything we needed
- Connick (10/5): Great place to stay!! - The breakfast was absolutely awesome!! The location is far enough from the highway but close enough to walk to get around. This is a great place to stay. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Can't really say. I enjoyed my stay. My son was staying at a different hotel and thought mine was a real gem when he say my room.
- Jill (10/5): Excellent accommodation for the price. - Very quaint and everything you need. Owners very helpful too Nothing
- Rawan (8/5): Very good - Staff was really nice and super accommodating! Room was clean and the building wad super cute. Backyard was cute and relaxing vibes The AC in the room was making a weird noice (i think the fins were unstable) and it was hard to sleep at night as it was pretty distracting.
- Richard (8/5): Relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable. - What we like about Country Encounters is the homey feeling, the comfort of the rooms, the excellent breakfast, the view from the upper deck and the beauty and comfort of the lower deck. The shower curtain in the room requires changing.
- Catherine (10/5): Great B&B and dinner too! - Dawn was so welcoming and even helped us with our plug-in cooler issue.
Our room was so cozy & comfy. Had a wonderful night's sleep, too.
We did sit out on the upper back deck. There are several areas for enjoying the fresh air and other guests as well.
We took advantage of the offer for dinner. We had an amazing meal cooked by Chef Dawn. We had a nice salad, followed by Voq Au Vin, accompanied with mashed potatoes & a Veggie mix too. Even a wonderful chocolate cheese cake for dessert. I thought the price was quite reasonable, too.
The breakfast the next morning was excellent, too. Dawn makes her own bacon. It was delicious. In addition, there were scrambled eggs and French toast, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Even croissants if you wanted them .
Great stay The stairs were a little bit of an issue for me, but there was a good Banister, and there was a bathroom downstairs, so I didn't have to go up & down too much.
- Denise (8/5): Excellent - Very accommodating
Good breakfast!!!
Owner amazing Stairs
And small room but should have asked about it before
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The B&B is located in an old building in the old downtown area. The room was large and the A/C worked great. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Loki the Aussie/Doddle was a wonderful addition to our stay.

- Victoria (10/5): I will recommend this place to anybody who visit Coleman - Breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect. The owner and the staff were friendly, and ready to help with a lovely smile. Thank you so much. The accommodation didn't have anything wrong.
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Great breakfast The room we stayed in could have black out curtains in the bay windows
