• Caroline (6/5): An average stay in a great location - Great location to explore the Cairngorms national park with several hikes beginning in Braemar itself and a short drive to others. Lovely little town, good supermarket opposite which is open early and shuts late. Easy to find, conveniently located. Nice and spacious 2 bedroom apartment with seperate living area, kitchen and dining. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Good sized bathroom, good water pressure from the shower. Washing and drying facilities which was good. It is a very cold town, the property had 6 heaters but unfortunately only 2 of them worked (in the bedrooms), meaning the common space was very cold. We contacted the owner, who did have someone attend to look at one of the heaters, and then provided a replacement/ portable heater when requested by us. A review of the comments and reviews on booking.com suggest one of the other heaters has been out of action/ broken for some time. There was no mention of this at booking or in the welcome pack. The welcome pack had some misinformation with some details missing - specially about the heating and instructions for use. The property has a fridge, and cooking appliances, a couple of basic staples were provided (salt & pepper); however it was the only accommodation we stayed in that didn’t provide milk. This would have been disappointing if you had arrived after the shop closed as you couldn’t have a cup of tea or coffee. It was an expensive property, so some of the issues were disappointing. In general, a nice stay. I wouldn’t stay there again however.

• hayley (5/5): nice accommodation but very cold in the winter - location was very good, plenty of space and clean its was very cold I could see day light coming under the front door, radiator in the kitchen didn't work and the electric fire in the living room very noisy. We left a day early because of this, yes it was feb half term and there was snow on the ground.

Place was freezing on arrival, most of the radiators worked quickly but the kitchen radiator didn’t work at all and hallway radiator was difficult to work without a working screen to see what was being pressed. Also the taps had no hot water.

• ITAlexanderS (9/5): Amazing place which I'm happy to recommend to everyone. - Location is perfect. 15 minutes from Glenshee Ski Resort, center of Braemar - right opposite two good restaurants. No issues with parking. So zero complaints. Liked almost everything. The only small issue is a broken heater in the kitchen. And also would be useful to provide a brochure with explanations how to use heaters - some of them are with sensor screens, pretty complicated and in bedroom it was set to 30 degree. So had to spend 20 minutes with ChatGPT to figure out how to reduce temperature.

• Nicola (9/5): Lovely birthday break in the wonderful Braemar. - Excellent location, very comfortable bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Nice views of the Fife Arms Christmas lights! The temperature of the flat was variable and quite difficult to get right- lots of heaters provided so it was warm enough though.

Its a done think in Ireland but I appreciate, it might not be the same in Soctland. its just to make a cup of tea or make ceral for the children if they need food before bed. We arrived very late.

The house was exceptionally clean & tidy with comfortable beds & a well equipped kitchen . The lounge had a very homely feel . The shower was patchy with either scolding hot or freezing cold temperatures so the thermostat needs addressing.

If you want a nice relaxing time this is the place to go. Mountains surround you and great for walking. Rachel and mark were great host. Made our stay the best they could. Thank you.

• Alex (9/5): Despite the issue with the shower we had an amazing stay and would definitely stay here again. The apartment was large a - The property was right in the centre of the village. Spotlessly clean and we could also control the temperature of the heating. The beds were extremely comfortable too. The shower had no power what so ever and it was like trying to wash your hair in a drizzle. The shower temperature also fluctuated between icy cold and scalding hot.

• Brooke (10/5): Perfect cozy apartment in Braemar - Bruachdryne was perfect! Everything was well appointed and so cozy! My friend and I each had our own room with plenty of space, very comfortable beds and pillows. The den was warm and inviting for lazy, cozy, TV watching evenings when all you want to do is relax on the couch with a warm blanket. The apartment was perfectly located in the village and walkable to plenty of cafes and restaurants. Rachel and Mark's instructions were super easy to follow, and also provided fabulous recommendations on good eats in the area and places to visit. I would absolutely stay there again as the number one top of my list when going back to Braemar. Thank you Rachel and Mark for making this such a delightful experience!
