Guest Reviews
- Wright (8/5): Family holiday - Excellent facilities
Love the view.
Great location. The only negative comment I have is the beds were a bit soft. But all ok.
- Stuart (8/5): Very good, had everything we needed. - The property was clean & tidy, the decor is very tired and could do with a spruce up but decent for what we paid. Would probably stay again A bit scruffy
- Mike (9/5): Superb views, great accommodation, lovely hosts - could not be better! - We had an initial issue with the key dropbox which had seized but the owners arranged for a spare set of keys which arrived in about an hour. It's how you deal with a problem and the owners (despite wrangling 3 kids) attended to the matter efficiently and without fuss moreover, when we asked for a parking permit, the owner dealt with it immediately.
The location of the flat is perfect - stunning views out over the beach and a very short walk to the Harbour and Creative Quarter of Folkestone.
The flat is bright, spacious, airy and has everything you need for a short stay. Parking was easy - right outside the apartment and the block itself is well presented. The whole terrace is being renovated as well which will look superb when finished. Nothing important - perhaps a small coffee machine would have been a nice touch, otherwise one of the best short stay apartments we have been in.
- Michael (9/5): Great apartment, well serviced, host & team communication exemplary. Really enjoyed stay would visit - Non applicable No hot water in sink in bathroom
Sink plug in en suite doesn't seal to hold water
- Monika (10/5): Fabulous apartment, best accommodation in Folkestone. - Location, views No locks on bathroom doors
- Anisa (7/5): Beautiful location - such a special experience! - A beautiful location to make the most of the sea, with stunning views! Incredibly close to town, around the corner from the Old High Street and Creative Quarter, and Harbour Arm. Spacious and comfortable rooms with helpful assistance just a call away. Having the beach on the doorstep was absolutely amazing, being able to make the most of sunrise over the cliffs especially. Such a special experience staying here! Unfortunately I have a pigeon phobia, so the fact that they kept coming to land on the ledge outside the window was quite a nightmare and meant I couldn't properly relax - although not much you can do about that (and would unlikely be an issue for most people!) Better soundproofing would help, as it was hard to sleep through loud outside noise (Karaoke Saturdays nearby and Monday rubbish collection) and from thin walls / creaky floors which meant you could hear neighbours. The property was lovely, but felt a bit worn and could do with a deep clean (bathroom/kitchen blinds, oven, microwave), a lick of new paint, more mugs and a thorough check of kitchen utensils (we had to re wash everything before using). A property guide would be very helpful to save time finding WiFi and where cleaning supplies were kept (we bought toilet paper not realising there was spare stashed in a top cupboard). Although all the cleanliness and sound issues could be completely overlooked by the location and view, one look out of the window to the sea did wonders and all was forgiven! Very grateful for our wonderful stay here, a very special experience.
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location with incredible views. It had everything we needed.
- Clemie_b (10/5): Fab location, spacious flat with magnificent sea views - Beautiful, well laid out property with huge sea views. Fabulous location, as close to the Harbour Arm as you can get, quiet location right on the seafront. The rooms are all spacious. Good kitchen facilities. I also liked that they have ambient lighting. Good communication from the host. The mattress on the master bed didn't feel particularly robust, was very soft, so you roll into the middle.
Also, the noise proofing isn't the best - I could hear some morning noise from the floor above (although it was very quiet at night).
