Guest Reviews
- Helen (8/5): Comfortable, family friendly, great location! - We really loved the location (and Mousehole in general!), especially the view out to sea. Being such a short walk away from the beach, shops, restaurants etc. was a huge plus, and having a parking space on site was extremely helpful. The small garden/terrace area was a great outdoor space for our children to play in, and we felt that the cottage was overall very comfortable and well equipped. Communication from Phay was excellent and the small touches/welcome hamper that were provided were very much appreciated :). The walls were quite thin and the older style locks on the doors were too noisy for us during the night (with people going to bed at different times and leaving rooms to go to the bathroom). The room with the bunk bed is a squeeze and the dining area is also a bit cramped for a group of 6. It's better suited for groups of 4 or less :).
- Aly (10/5): Perfect, New Year’s break. Much needed rest at this warm, welcoming cottage. - Loved the location so close to the sea, the views, parking space, log fire, everything! There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
- Michael (10/5): -
- shaun (10/5): Not many better places than this in Mouzel plus you can park the car!! - How re- miss of me not to log this review. Perfect location round the corner from the harbour. A great base for doing our SWCP legs. Nesting gull chicks on the roof opposite made it more special. Perfectly equipped and a nice touch with welcome pack. The fact I had to leave.
- Aiden (10/5): An idilic cottage with a warm and cozy ambiance. - Everything, the location, quality of the property , internal furnishings and décor, the beds, kitchen equipment and above all, the cleanliness and home from home feel.
This has everything that you need for a relaxed, chilled holiday. Even our little dog had a welcome pack in a basket with treats supplied. We want to keep Mousehole Cottage as our little secret !!
Absolute credit to Faye for the level of communication with us and her care to ensure over expectations on arrival.
Oh .......and the wonderful view of the fishing boat chugging into Newlyn harbour
Thank You. (We'll see you soon)
Sarah, Aiden, Jordan and Milly The week went to quickly.
- Fiona (9/5): Comfortable and restful stay in a pretty cottage in a beautiful location. - Excellent location. Lovely sea views. Comfortable cottage set in a pretty village with lots of amenities, close to gorgeous beaches and lovely West Cornwall countryside. Provision of a parking space is a huge bonus for a place like Mousehole. Attentive and responsive host. Very dog friendly which we hugely appreciated. Thoughtful welcome pack with added Easter touches. While the shower was great, some water would end up on the bathroom floor due to a small shower door. Some kitchen cupboards are looking a little tired. Dishwasher wasn't working during our stay which we didn't know about until we got to the house. Host was very apologetic about this and it didn't spoil our stay.
- Grzegorz (9/5): Nice stay in quiet place. Close to local attractions. - Good location if you look for quiet stay. Pets friendly. Bowls, pet towels and even treats are in place. Very clean. KItchen well equipped. Good contact with hosts. Private parking for guests which is a big plus in Mousehole.
- John (10/5): A wonderful property in an idylic locatiion, we were very happy here, you will be too. - The location is fantastic, the house is beutiful, with views of the sea from most windows. The facilities in the kitchen are both extensive and high quality. the house was spotless, all rooms are furnished with characterful decor. The welcome pack of wine and Cornish biscuits was much appeciated. Local guides and recommendations for both trip and restaurants were also provided. The entrance to the property down a small passageway is a little tricky to negotiate, especially when carrying suitcases. Some of the local restaurants charge faster than a Rhino !
- Alison (10/5): A lovely place to stay. - We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. The cottage is spacious and and well decorated. It has everything we needed and there were lots of extra touches, such as extra towels and tea cloths. We were also provide with milk and a welcome basket. Phay was very helpful about my allergy problem.
Mousehole is an interesting village to walk round and also a good base for visiting Land's End, the Lizard, St Ives, St Michael's Mount, archaeological sites and beautiful gardens. Booking. com charged us £25 for a dog when we don't have one and were not asked about it! There needs to be a with and without pet option when choosing the cottage.
- Dana (10/5): It's perfect - This place is the perfect base from which to explore the area. The cottage is beautiful, the kitchen is well equiped, and the setting is lovely. Nothing
- Philip (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay at Mousehole Cottage, would definitely come back. - Felt right at home as soon as we walked in. All the rooms were lovely and exceptionally clean. The attention to detail made it special. Some lovely views and a nice little garden to sit and relax with a drink. Mousehole is a lovely scenic village with plenty to do. Nice places to eat and drink and a good base to explore the area. Nothing to dislike at all.
