• Ben (5/5): Comfortable bed in the spare room of the hosts home - Room was comfortable and breakfast was lovely. The booking should more clearly state the accomodation on offer. The nightly cost of above $200 is more than double similar offerings (of a private room in a shared house/facilities). The host did communicate this ahead of arrival as well as advise no cooking/use of kitchen was available for guests.

Sauberes Zimmer mit bequemem Bett. Nette, informative Besitzerin mit zwei schmusigen (Ragdoll)Katzen. Erholsamer Aufenthalt ist garantiert. --

• Dave (10/5): - Fantastic stay, very friendly and helpful host. Room and ensuite beautifully decorated, chocolates were even provided in our room whuch was such a lovely touch. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Greeted with a coffee on arrival and made to feel at home. Excellent fully cooked breakfast was amazing too. Lovely home in rural setting.....be sure to follow directions provided by host and not Google maps. Nothing...it was perfect!

• Alex (9/5): - Diane is a wonderful host. She is friendly and welcoming and cooked us a good breakfast. The room is in a newly built house and while small is nice and comfortable. It is in the middle of nowhere, so if if you find yourself driving on un paved road, don't panic. Thedoor to the bathroom needs a lock as it does not stay shut and slides open. A warning for the people with cat allergy would be nice.

From the beautiful setting to Diane’s hospitality, we had a very pleasant stay here. The location is extremely convenient for accessing Christchurch. I couldn’t recommend this stay more!

• willeraus (10/5): - Only a few minutes out of town, yet felt miles from anywhere: lovely country location. Excellent host, helpful, informative, and attentive. Very comfortable bed, modern facilities. Highly recommend.
• Sandra (9/5): Ein liebevoller Aufenthalt - Diane ist wirklich eine herzliche Gastgeberin und hat uns sofort mit offenen Armen empfangen. Das Zimmer befindet sich in ihrem Haus und ist komplett neu. Das zimmereigene Bad ist modern und alles sehr sauber. Die Lage ist super zum Sterne-Schauen, Diane meinte manchmal sieht man sogar die Südlichter. In der Früh wurden wir von ihr auch noch bekocht und bekamen ein sehr gutes Frühstück. Man sollte bedenken, dass es kein Hotel sondern ein Airbnb ist, was aber für uns kein Problem war.

• Perham (7/5): - The setting was great. The bed very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. The host was very nice and friendly 😊 This property should be advertised as a bed and breakfast. We were expecting our own separate cottage.Owner living on site does not make it clear that it is a b&b. Heating does not get through to bedroom and no heaters were available to warm this room.

In the evening, after a lovely dinner in the village, a lovely cuppa and chat. Delightful breakfast and beautiful setting with a charming host. Thank you.
• Finnbar (2/5): Host quite disrespectful - Beautiful location. I had thought based on the price and description that this was our own space. It's a small room in the host's house. This didn't suit us, as we felt quite uncomfortable there. Partially our fault for not reading every line of the description, but it was a bit unclear, and the host said we weren't the first to make that mistake. For a room in someone's house it was exceptionally expensive. We didn't stay the second night, and initially the host said she would process a partial refund. I put the request through and asked if she would approve it. She said she would but "it takes 12 hours". We left and she sent a message an hour later going back on what she had said and refusing the refund. When I commented that it was poor customer service she said I should "learn from the experience" and just stayed on a moral high horse, being quite disrespectful. I rarely give bad reviews. I think she needs to change her attitude if she's going to have a business of this nature.

The bedroom was a little tight, but a minor detail. Only Earl Grey tea seemed to be available as a hot drink. Not a big deal, but another option would be nice.

The room was rather small. We lacked a fridge and a place to sit outside, because the weather was nice while we were there.

We wished we could have stayed longer!! Diane is the most wonderful host 💛 So easy to contact, she met us at the door with such a warm welcome. The house itself is stunning, our room was lovely, such a comfortable bed, shower was incredible! Breakfast was delicious the next morning, and she gave us a tour of the church just up the road, which is pretty special. Loved getting to know Charlie the cat, too. Felt like home 💛 we are from the UK but would come back here, especially when next in NZ and stay longer! Thankyou Diane 🙏

Facilities were immaculate and Diane is very friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay again. The property is a little way out of town, so if you want the nightlife of Geraldine, you'll need to drive in. Nothing at all.
