• 한 (10/5): - 방이 각각 분리되어있는 구조라서 너무 편했고 1박만 하려다 연장연장해서 3박까지 하고 잘 지내다 갑니다. 오전-낮에 근무하는 여직원(adi)이 친절하게 잘 대해주었고 모르는 것에 대해 자세히 설명하고 도와주었습니다. 버스를 늦게타서 밤 12시에 도착했을때에는 문이 닫혀있어 초인종을 누르고 들어갔는데도 체크인을 도와주었고 덕분에 여행을 잘 할 수 있었습니다 사람이 없는 시즌이라 너무 편하게 잘 지냈습니다. 1번째 샤워기가 작동하지않아 이동해서 사용했습니다.

• Coralie (10/5): Parfait ! - Tout était parfait ! Le centre est assez proche à pied (10-15 min). Les dortoirs sont vraiment spacieux et agréable, le lit est hyper confortable. Chaque petit espace individuel est équipé d’un ventilateur, d’une lampe et d’une table de nuit. La salle de bain équipé de plusieurs douches et toilettes est bien aménagée et propre. Les espaces extérieurs sont très agréable ainsi que la piscine. Le personnel est chaleureux. J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour ici.

• Laura (8/5): Cute, quiet hostel in Merida - Very cute with great ambience, clean, comfortable beds, nice reception staff, great Wi-Fi. The location isn't super great, not in the best part of town or close to the Plaza Grande. The bedrooms are private except open on top so you can hear everything in the huge room, including shared bathroom sounds. There's very little privacy in the shower area. There didn't seem to be many other people staying here on a Tuesday night, so it was pretty quiet.

O preço é justo para um hostel apesar da qualidade estar no nível de hotel. No primeiro dia tive que trocar de cama/área pois me colocaram num muito próximo do banheiro e o barulho incomodou. Mas me trocaram no momento do pedido sem problema algum.

Matres and pillows were a bit uncomfortable. I could not sleep well during my stay. (Would recommend to include an extra pillow in each bed for comfort)
• Adi (10/5): - The best dorms I I've stayed in. The division with walls and curtains gives so much privacy. Showers also great, clean, hot water. The hostel itself is small and welcoming. The outside garden is really nice to chill in. The only small disadvantage is the location is a bit off center, like 10 minute walk from the main square and not many shops / restaurants in the adjacent streets.

• LucyMulligan (9/5): A relaxing and spacious stay a short walk away from Plaza Grande. - Each bed got a full single room within the dormitory. A bonus you don't often experience at that price in hostels. The whole place had a great open feel to it, yet still felt very secure. There are also lockers within the dormitories to secure any valuables. Enough lockers for the number of beds in the dormitory would be great.

• Dilan (10/5): Fun, unique concept & great value - This hostel has such a unique concept. The “dorms” felt very private, we even got free eye masks and earplugs. Every “room” has its own fan, light and socket. It was very clean, the pool and the garden area are beautiful and they offered occasional free activities. The staff were amazing!! Very hard working and always very kind and helpful. Jenn made the hostel feel like home. The location is slightly out of the centre, about a 10 minute walk away from the plaza.

• Fenella (9/5): This hostel ticks all the boxes for comfort and atmosphere. Perfect for a solo traveller. I’d definitely stay again. - Had a lovely welcome from Jen at reception. Jen was so very helpful during my stay there. I loved the spacious conversion of the old rice warehouse into a smart hostel with individual ( curtain door for privacy ) single beds in 3 large dorms. Three showers, toilets and basins for my dorm. Shower water hot, beds very comfortable, white linen. each room has a separate fan, light, plug and bedside drawer. Overhead fans and lights for all the rooms.!Secure pin lock to get into dorm. 4 cages available to lock valuables in. Communal areas inside and outside with pool, outside toilets, laundry area, kitchen with filter drinking water , large fridge and ample cups glasses crockery and cutlery. Coffee provided free in the mornings. Meals, drinks soft and alcoholic and meals available from locked fridge, restaurant and bar. I had an online funeral of a close friend to attend on my second day there and Jen made sure I had private space and peace to view and was also very empathetic. I really appreciated that. On my first day there I went on one of the tours recommended at reception. If I had cash I could have paid at reception but I walked to the tour office the evening before to pay by card. ( about 7 -8 blocks away) Was an excellent trip out to the salt lagoons, boat trip through the mangroves to see birds and crocodiles , swim in the sea, mud wrap and a delicious dinner. Thoroughly recommend. I also signed up for a free Guru walk ( pay what you like at the end ) and it was very good. Fernandez was very knowledgable and proud of the city and his country. I learnt many things about Mérida, from the past to the present. Karmelita the hostel cat is gorgeous Minor points. Location. It’s a good few blocks away from the historic town centre, atm’s, shops and the restaurants. I certainly upped my step count walking all the way in and out 4 times during my three night stay there. The area feels a little shady in the late evening with broken or non existent sidewalks and general litter outside the city gates but I didn’t actually have any problems. The high ceilings in the dorms means it’s noisier than usual with guests flushing toilets or locking doors but the hostel is aware as they provide you with ear plugs and a sleep mask.

La localisation près du centre,la piscine ,le dortoir avec ses espaces individuels, le jardin,la cuisine bien équipée. Son personnel est exceptionnellement accueillant. Ces gens aiment leur travail. • Victor (10/5): - На мой взгляд - идеальный хостел - приватная секция на 4 квадратных метра, почти личная комната - высокие потолки, идеальная вентиляция - достаточное количество ванных, туалетов, душевых, которые расположены прямо рядом - высокая безопасность - очень хороший персонал - прекрасная кухня, где можно готовить - очень много пространства для отдыха: как под крышей, так и на улице. Диваны, гамаки, столики, бассейн, бильярд, настольный теннис - расположен рядом с центром в тихом спокойном месте. Довольно недалеко до магазинов. Автобус нужен только добраться до музея, остальное пешком Может быть сам переулок, где расположен хостел, не самый проходной, но это не влияет на безопасность

• Sean (9/5): An absolute gem of a place, quietly positioned a short walk from the heart of Mérida! - From the moment I stepped into Escentrike I was seriously impressed! Great staff; warm, friendly and helpful. The space is impressively large, both inside and out with a super chilled out vibe! The dormitory is very clean and each bed compartmentalised, so it feels like having your own room. There’s a very large and spacious reception area with ample funky seating, a pool table and a quiet room for reading or surfing the net. Outside has an amazing courtyard with swimming pool, hammocks, comfortable seating areas and plenty of tables and chairs as well as a kitchen. The place has been really well designed with an artsy feel and I absolutely loved staying here, so much so that I extended my stay by a further three days. It’s tucked away and quiet whilst being in the centre of town and providing easy access to all Mérida has to offer. Escentrike is a real gem! Absolutely nothing!

• Cristina (10/5): Excellent - It's my first time staying in a hostel so I have no idea how it will be, but I'm so happy, satisfied and safe that I made the right decision to try staying in a hostel , this place is like a 5 star hostel . The staff and manager are all kind and helpful especially Jenn the front desk , she's the best , kind, reliable and respectful and also Angel the caretaker and Paco . Mayu the manager is an efficient lady, she manages everything well. I highly recommend this place, it's worth every penny and oh the location is great everything is walkable. Staff , cleanliness and location. 💯 %
• sarah (10/5): Fantastic hostel! - This was one of the best hostels I stayed in along my travels. The staff were lovely, and they have lots of activities that you can join in with. The rooms themselves were also great - you have a separate pod/cubicle in a large warehouse area for some privacy, and good shower areas. It was only 10 minute walk away from the centre which meant it was quiet!

Nice touch with a mask and earplugs provided. Paco was nice and helpful. Jenny was exceptionally helpful going above and beyond assisting everyone in need. She shared her fresh brewed coffee while I was waiting for the tour van when all shops in the area were still closed. She helped arrange for laundry pick up and delivery. A precious person with a big heart to cats and dogs. I highly recommend the place. A perfect 10 minute walk to the city center, but dirty street( up and coming zone) and not much going on in the area. Breakfast not included but inexpensive.

• David (9/5): Belle découverte! 9/10 - Il me semble que l'hostel est assez neuf, si je me fie à mes recherches sur Internet. Je crois que cet hostel est adapté pour les remote workers. L'aire commune est grande et il y a plusieurs pour s'isoler et travailler. Il y a 3 dortoirs, séparés dans trois couloirs. Chaque lit est individuel. L'ambiance est sympathique et le personnel est très gentil. Quelques petits facteurs, mais ceux-ci sont plutôt pour vous orienter et ne sont pas nécessairement des "deal breaker" : 1. Les ventilateurs font beaucoup de bruit, ce qui peut perturber le sommeil des personnes qui, comme moi, ont le sommeil léger. 2. Peu de personnes parmi le personnel parle anglais, mais on réussit tout de même à se débrouiller. 3. L'eau de la piscine n'était pas chauffée, tel qu'indiqué sur la page de l'établissement. 4. Il est affiché que plusieurs produits sont disponibles (café, viennoiseries, bar extérieur, etc.) mais ce n'est pas le cas à ce temps-ci de l'année (janvier). Alors il se pourrait que ce soit seulement pendant la saison estivale (je n'ai pas demandé).

L’eau potable à même le robinet de la cuisine grâce à un système de filtre. La piscine La beauté de l’endroit Il manque de place pour les bagages. Une ou deux tablettes et quelques crochets de plus ne seraient pas dispendieux. Bien que l’hostal ne soit qu’à une dizaine de minutes du centre, était difficile de trouver un endroit proche pour prendre un café le matin.

• Alejandra (8/5): Cheap and cheerful, a clean place with a lot of personality - Clean, kitchen, nice common areas, great shower pressure. I arrived at night, the street is very dark and it’s in an industrial area, does not feel super safe to walk around. Bed was hard.

Jennifer qui nous dit des notre arrivé qu elle préfère qu on l appel JEN. quelle belle personnalité avec un sourire angélique . ce qui rend l endroit encore plus magic ... j y retourne bientôt... Really appreciated her welcome and friendliness throughout our stay, and she arranged for us to check in super early for free after a long night bus from Palenque, so we were super grateful for that! It’s a really nice modern hostel with a lovely communal outside area and the swimming pool was so nice to cool off. Kitchen was well stocked and great to have so we could make breakfast, there was free water and coffee, and they had an area to hand wash and hang wet clothes. The bathrooms were cleaned everyday and there were 4 showers per dorm which meant we never had to wait. Good location, really quiet and just a short walk to centro and good places to eat. We were here for day of the dead and met some fun people at the hostel to hang out with so the vibe was good! Also the cat is cute There were sooo many mosquitoes in the outside area which made it difficult to sit out there at any time of day without getting eaten alive! Some of them made it into the dorm and there’s no mosquito nets so also got bitten at night which was annoying. We stayed in a ‘private room’ however I definitely wouldn’t call it private - it’s more like a pod dorm, with a double bed in a tiny space (two small for 2 people and big backpacks really) with a curtain for the door and no ceiling, so it’s not super private or secure (although there are a few lockers at the end of the room to put bags), and unfortunately when other guests are loud, watching videos on full volume at 1am or slamming the heavy door early in the morning you can hear it all! But otherwise the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay here!

• Tobias (10/5): - Das Hostel war insgesamt sehr schön – die Anlage ist gepflegt und besonders der Poolbereich lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die eigenen Zimmer war wirklich Klasse. Das Personal war super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich dort wirklich wohlgefühlt. Einziger Negativpunkt, der Deckenventilator im Dorm war in der Nacht ziemlich laut, was den Schlaf etwas gestört hat.

• Marie Aymon (8/5): Great place, bad wifi during rainy season sadly - Love the location and the hostel; the place is very clean and you have a lot of personal space. Staff is amazing and the beds super comfy. Unfortunately during the rainy season the wifi does not work properly. I would not recommend staying there if you are a digital nomad. The wifi is fine for basic things but it will not work if you need to hop on calls and things like that.

• vazquez oropeza (10/5): Moderno rinconcito en Mérida. - La ubicación si bien las calles cercanas están un poco oscuras, esta muy bien localizado cerca del centro, a un par de cuadras. Además el personal te ayuda si necesitas algún tipo de transporte. Entiendo que me quede en un dormitorio y siempre habrá ruido, pero se puede cuidar más el que la puerta tenga aceite para que no suene al abrirse o qué haya una puerta para los baños, y así haya un poco menos ruido. Pues la luz de los baños se enciende junto con los ventiladores y en la madrugada si es molesto. La almohada tenía poco relleno

• Nelly (9/5): - Sehr nettes Personal, schöner Hinterhof mit viel Schatten, tolles Konzept mit Zimmerabteilen, dadurch hat man etwas mehr Privatsphäre:)
