Fully equipped kitchen including:

Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tin foil.
Upstairs:
Hairdryer in bedroom
Towels and bed linen

We had a really lovey stay.
The only thing I'd say, was the sofa bed was very uncomfortable!!
Nothing that a mattress topper couldn't fix though!
The beds upstairs were very comfortable.

- Tim (10/5): Lovely cottage fab location - Fantastic location with public parking opposite , lovely decor and condition , fully equipt kitchen , fantastic heating system ( plus log burner) and perfect shower Nothing to dislike
If I’m being really picky , outside light could be a bit better ! , there’s absolutely nothing to dislike
- Fizah (5/5): fun but could’ve been better if these things were fixed before our arriving. - good location, was clean and cute and cosy paid parking that we didn’t know about, something wrong with heating/boiler and hot water in shower and problem with lights not turning off and sofa bed was not comfortable. staff were not very supportive and the host would not answer messages or calls.
- Marc (5/5): Host was lovely but we all left with bad back as beds and pillows atrocious - Location was fantastic Beds and pillows so uncomfortable
Very basic supplies
- Danielle (9/5): Very pleased with our stay, good communication, small issue- resolved quickly, cleans and comfortable - It was delightful, lovely comfortable space ☺️ Everything was lovely
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely place. - Beautifully decorated and nice and homely.
Issues with no heating and hot water the first night but very quickly resolved Mattress was really uncomfortable
Didn’t get to meet anyone on check-in or check out felt a little unpersonable.
- Marie (4/5): Looks nice!!! - Looks nice when you go in. Clean. Modern furniture. Near town centre. Shower works well. Poky! Hosts hard to contact. Beds hard. Stairs and heavy doors hard for older or disabled guests. Hard to find - up a narrow alley. Parking charged. Too many steps. Would NEVER accommodate 5 in comfort. Bedroom lights badly placed. Smelly dishwasher.

- Singh (10/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Jennie (7/5): - Very clean. Decor was beautiful. The house was well equipped. The single bed was very hard. The rooms could have done with a fan as very hot. The blind in the double bedroom was broken.
- Collo (10/5): - Location k
- Lesley (9/5): We stayed here for a family wedding as it was close to the venue, the cottage was lovely - Close to amenities car parking oppisite , cottage lovely and clean with everything we needed Nothing
- Dianne (8/5): Quiet, cosy cottage - Good transport links for lakes, this cosy cottage was well equipped, clean, warm & comfortable a few minutes walk from morrisons, booths & shops in town. There are plenty of places to eat out if needed. Very quiet location considering it's opposite a carpark.
We only stayed for 3 nights but packed in 14 bus trips to 6 lakes & stunning villages, a bus that even took us over the kirkstone pass!, a boat trip on derwentwater Great little walk along the Threlkeld to Keswick railway trail. The blind in the main bedroom was broken so we couldn't close it, which made the room very light in the early hours. Unable to watch tv, needed passwords, was not a problem though as youtube is my preference for hiking videos, so I was happy.
Maybe an idiots guide to tv, cooker & microwave may help others.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (9/5): Clean comfortable stay - Very clean and comfortable. Good for a short weekend or if out and about exploring. Beautiful weather no outside space but still a lovely stay only there for a weekend so grand .
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely just perfect - Cosy Everything we needed
- Sally (1/5): Bad -
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (9/5): Fabulous hideaway on the doorstep of Ullswater! - The decor was modern but was sympathetic to the age of the building and was very tastefully done. The facilities were plentiful and good quality. The whole place was extremely clean and tidy and very comfortable. A small issue with a fuse was very swiftly dealt with. I would have preferred clearer instructions on accessing the building as I was trying the code on the keypad at the door and would never have found the dropbox with a key inside, on my own, if the cleaner had not been at another property.
- Helen (10/5): Brunswick cottage - Brunswick is a beautiful little cottage,We were visiting family and the location was perfect,The double bed was far too soft for me and my partner,I think it would be good if a hoover and some cleaning products were there as I would have used them before we left
- Sibi (5/5): Passable -
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Ria (9/5): I would happily stay here again and recommend! - I loved the location it was helpful to be in the middle of everything. The little touches were lovely e.g. tea, coffee, fire sticks in both tvs and the heating was very easy to use. Very comfy beds and pillows had a wonderful sleep! The link provided for the portal was very helpful with recommendations on where to eat and site see :)
Fire was lovely and cosy at night very nice touch to the cottage. The shower was a little erotic went very hot & not very cold. Oven would only go to 170 degrees took a long time to cook some foods. Could have provided some wood for the fire.
- Beth (10/5): Really lovely, comfy and had everything we needed. -
- Nicola (9/5): Brilliant weekend with family and would happily return again. - Very clean, loved the fire burner. Brilliant having tvs in each room. Had all utensils in the kitchen, we brought a few items with us such as dishwasher tablets and tea towels but this was provided at the property. Loved having the dishwasher. Although there is adequate seating for meal times, I would have liked a table to sit round to play games with the family, but we know there wouldn’t be space for this. Downstairs was really cold the first night of our stay but we visited at a cold time of year.
- James (6/5): Booking.com error, double booked. Poor customer service. - We didn't get to stay at Brunswick Cottage because Booking.com double booked it, and somebody else was there when we arrived. Late afternoon Christmas eve, we were faced with the prospect of doing an about turn and going home. Fortunately, the owner of the cottage managed to find alternative accommodation for us at very short notice. Not what we had booked but acceptable nonetheless. We've had zero communication from Booking.com in relation to this. Shocking customer service.
- Stuart (10/5): Lovely cottage, great location would happily stay again - Location was great, cottage was clean and cosy, comfy bed, strong shower, kitchen was nice and dishwasher handy, nice walkway from the cottage onto Penrith High Street with easy access, large TV’s in all 3 rooms with Amazon fire built in. Fireplace is great on cold nights and really warms the cottage up quickly. No dislikes although would be handy to have a broom or cordless vacuum available in the property just to clean up any dirt or leaves from shoes by the entrance but not major at all
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (3/5): Looked good on pictures - Centrally located, bathroom shower worked well, kitchen quite well-equipped. Equipment in good condition e.g. TV looked brand new. 1. Very noisy drunk people right outside window made it impossible to sleep, kids also got scared
2. Very small interior, difficult to unpack, relax etc. beds too small and mattress too soft, steep stairs not suitable for kids
3. Arrived late Friday night with wife and two kids under 6, couldn't access property due to error instructions in email comms. Had to book expensive, alternative accommodation. Gained access only for second night. Regrettably, owner rude about circumstances, wouldn't respond to my messages and blamed me for communication errors. Very poor experience overall. Key take away: avoid private rental properties that aren't professionally managed. For these, Air b&b give customers much better protections.
- Julie (7/5): Good - Everything it was lovely Couldn't fault anything
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teresa (10/5): Exceptional - Couldn't fault it. Great location for shops.
- Mohammed (9/5): Superb -
- Lee (9/5): Lovely little cottage in a great location. - Great location. Clean and modern decor. The sofa bed was really uncomfortable which was such a shame as the property was great in all other areas.
- Holly (9/5): A wonderful time overall! - It was very cosy! It was a perfect size for myself and my friends. The facilities in the kitchen are great! It’s in a fantastic location in Penrith so you can walk around the town centre and then can easily drive to places like Aira Force Waterfalls and Glenridding. Paying for parking was frustrating but the car park is next to the property.
- Zilah (1/5): Non existent - double booked - It was double booked by the the proprietor/booking.com so we didn’t actually get to stay. It was being rented out when we arrived and so we were left with nowhere to stay. Booking.com were extremely unhelpful, we had to find our own alternative place to stay. Then we were not reimbursed for the additional charge we incurred in booking the alternative accommodation. Not even so much as an offer to pay half or discount on future bookings! Just abandoned by booking.com and left to sort ourselves out! Completely spoilt our family break. Can only be thankful we were in the UK and not abroad! Won’t be using Booking.com again! Not very cottage like, no outdoor space and faces a public car park, hence no outdoor photos of the property
- Sarah (10/5): Fantastic couple of days based in a pretty cottage in Penrith - Good location . Close to bus and rail. Good connection s to the lakes. Pretty cottage with tasteful decor. Would have liked a washing machine. Especially helpful if doing muddy walks.
- Boniecka (9/5): Excellent stay at Brunswick Cottage - Very small burt very cosy cottage located in the centre of Penrith. Close to all shops, restaurants, take aways, leisure centre and rail station. The cottage was very clean. Everything you would need was provided by the hosts including kitchen towel, cooking pots, frying pans, coffee, tea, sugar, dish washer capsules, hair dryer and plenty of towels. TV in every room with smart speakers and access to Netflix etc. Lovely, modern decor. Great communication with the host. Quite dark inside so had to keep lights on all the time, the sofa bed in the living room good for a short stay but it was uncomfortable, wlvery thin, springy mattress. No storage in the bathroom to keep your toiletries and very poor phone signal. Lack of washing machine if staying longer.
- Abigail (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was immaculately clean and had everything you needed and more. The kitchen was stocked with baking trays, mixing bowls, everything you could need and more. The beds were extra comfortable and in every room was a television and fire stick. We could not recommend this cottage more, we had our dogs and 9 week old baby and it was perfect!
- Jonathan (10/5): Great stay, Natalie helped with an ironing issue which was appreciated - Location was great, it was modern but classy decor Pillows were not good
- Leanne (10/5): Will deffo be back - Perfect central location, very cosy and everything you could need.
I took a hairdryer as a previous review said there wasn’t one, but there is now :) Having to leave :(
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant - Very beautiful cottage nice and clean Some of the lights stopped working and cooker stopped working no supply from plug socket.they did say there was a electrical fault before we got there.
- Serendipity (10/5): Brunswick Cottage - Really pleasant, informative hosts
Exceptionally clean
Well equipped kitchen
Very comfortable bed
Great location. Very close to the town centre with surprisingly hardly any noise.
We really relaxed and enjoyed our weekend. Absolutely nothing except having to leave
- Britney (10/5): Lovely cottage, perfect location literally a ginnel away from shops/restaurants ect, you can park just over the road - The property is lovely it’s so clean and there’s everything you will need provided.
- Ian (9/5): Very nice place and surprised how nice parts of Penrith were.. would happily go back and stay there again 😀 - Really nice, cosy and clean with a very nice layout.. The only thing was the shower temperature was totally erratic.
- Robert (10/5): Perfect stay. - Great place to stay for visiting Penrith or the Lakes. Beautifully decorated and perfectly clean with very comfortable beds. We will be back! It would have been nice to have a washer dryer but that is a very minor point
- G9590 (9/5): Superb - Lovely cottage..
Finished to high spec and cosy. A safety lock/ latch from inside.
Lacks blinds on the big window at the entrance..Everyone can see one coming in and out from the carpark!
- Brianne (10/5): Very clean. Excellent location and distance from the train station and main town shops and restaurants. The hostess was - Excellent location and distance from the train station and main town shops and restaurants.
- Rachel (8/5): Weekend stay - The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and is spotless as displayed in the pictures. Modern decor but still maintains some of the older features such as the fire place. There is a fully equipped kitchen inc. convection cooker, dishwasher & microwave.
Natalie the host is brilliant, responding to any queries promptly. Sofa bed not particularly comfortable and not as large as anticipated, we had a member or our party drop out (would have been 5 adults) but I think the cottage was more suitable for 4.
Upstairs bedrooms were quite warm even with windows open, maybe a fan would have helped with ventilation.
Some noise over the weekend from passers by, cars, cottage is located right next to carpark.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kieran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dave (5/5): Pretty nice property that skimped on essentials - Tidy, modern, well decorated property, centrally located Less than half a roll of toilet paper supplied. No iron or ironing board. No toiletries. Just 2 dishwasher tabs for 4 day stay. Had to shop for essential supplies on arrival
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - Very lovely cottage with great access to countryside and walk into town. Beautifully decorated, immaculate No hairdryer
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolle (10/5): Beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage - what an amazing stay! - Beautiful decorated, comfortable and very clean. We were so pleased with the lovely cottage and its proximity to the train station and shops. There was no tea and coffee - it would be great to have tea and coffee for guests.
- Sara (9/5): Good value for money, had everything we needed. - The property felt brand new and super clean. Right in the centre of Penrith with easy access to all facilities. The kitchen was well stocked with all appliances but a chopping board would have made me feel a bit better!
It took a while to get used to the very modern tv and a more firm mattress in the double room would have suited me.
