Guest Reviews
- Denyse (10/5): A hidden gem - I had a very wonderful stay at Amakuza Residences. The place is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained, with welcoming and helpful staff. Everyone went an extra mile to make my stay even more comfortable. The location also makes it easy to move around the city. The breakfast was delicious, and I highly recommend trying the pumpkin and ginger soup :) — it was amazing. Overall, a great place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend it, and I am definitely booking my future stays with them again. Nothing
- Paul (8/5): Geen luxe maar al wat je nodig hebt - Goede ligging dichtbij Conference Center Het mag wat opgefrist worden
- Guest (6/5): - The owner she was nice and polite The breakfast was very limited and poor
The water in the toilet not available most of the time and we had to go the front desk to ask for it.
The smell of the housekeeping guy was horrible
- Ivana (8/5): -
- Namukulo (6/5): - My expectations were quite high given the online pictures that inhad seen. I guess that is why my first night was so difficult. Unfortunatley the rate tou are paying does not match room size ot the quality of the room. I hardly had any space for my two bags and the wardrobe provided did not have hang rails so i had to live out of my suitecases. The shower is right next to the sink and so once you shower the entire floor is wet. It was such an experience as some days there was no hot water in the morning and other days I was woken up by the sound of someone walking on the roof. The only bright side is that it was walking distance to the Kigali convention centre as advertised. I think the best approach is to come here with low expectations and then you will not be disapointed.
- Guest (8/5): Ideally located near KKC, serene, clean, and staffed with the warm hospitality typical of Rwandans. - Amakuza Residence in Kigali offers an ideal location near KKC, with a serene and clean environment complemented by the friendliness and cooperative spirit of its staff, reflecting the warmth I experienced with most Rwandans I met. Nothing major to dislike, just that the water pressure and the wait for hot water in the bath could be improved
- Matthias (8/5): - Very caring staff and large breakfast beyong my expectations
- Roger (7/5): It was okay but the staff were excellent - Breakfast was more than my expectations. The location is good Tv didn’t work
Usage of mosquito net on the bed
- Anonymous (8/5): Enjoyed my time - Staff are friendly. They attend to my needs expiditely. Location was very ideal and near the convention center.
- Katharina (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (7/5): The residence was well located and a walking distance to the Kigali convention centre. - The breakfast was nice. It had a variety of food and had Amakuza tea which we enjoyed: The premise needs to be fumigated as there were mosquitoes in the room.
- Sergio (8/5): Great place close to KCC - This is a great and affordable option near KCC. The place is clean and staff are really nice. Room was huge and bed was fine. The breakfast is massibe. Only had breakfast and dinners while staying there. While a 10 min walk from KCC is 10 min uphill walk but that is certainly not an accomodation problem. Shower could have more preasure but its a minor issue
- Cael (10/5): Affordable, clean, comfortable and well located! - Clean, comfortable, kind and accommodating staff. Rooms were conditioned. Amakuza is well located, walking distance to the Parliament and the Hut (a scrumptious dining experience with a beautiful view across the valley). We had a free pickup from the airport as well - our driver, Justice, was very friendly and answered our many questions!
- Hussaini (10/5): I experienced top notched services all through my stay. I would say superb and fantastic! - The breakfast was sumptuous and good. It was more than what I expected. Their shuttle car pickup from the airport to the hotel was excellent.
- Sebastien (8/5): True local experience, the owner and staff try very hard to make the stay as pleasant as possible - Breakfast was ok but nothing spectacular. Location worked great, but somehow a little noisy due to proximity to the road. good value for money all round Nothing really
- Shane (9/5): I would highly recommend the Amakuza for your stay in Kigali. it is great value for money, well located and very comfort - The location was great and the room was spotless. The staff were very helpful and also eager to assist. The bed is hard, but that is an African thing so no complaints from me…..you get used to it 😁
- Julian (10/5): Exceeded my expectations - The staff were very helpful & courteous especially Vedaste. The place is clean & easily accessible. The breakfast is very good with a wide variety. If you love your breakfast, this is the place to be. My room & bathroom were also spacious. Generally, Amakuza exceeded my expectations
- Salim (10/5): My stay was amazing I will be back soon - The location , clean less customers care Eel clean and good management
- Musa (7/5): Lovely - I love all the workers in the Hotel, they are respectful, obedient and ready to assist on any issue, but you guys should work on the mosquitoes in the rooms mosquitoes
- Mbele (7/5): Nice environnent and location. would definetey thank the manager ,Constantin and the whole team -
- Zivec (10/5): Exceptional - Maximum hospitality. Always ready to help and advice. Near by convention centre.
- Musa (9/5): Peaceful, very friendly and helpful staffs. - The breakfast was sumptuous, and the airport pick-up and drop-off were free! N/A
- Abinet (1/5): the worst hotel/guest house I have ever seen - this is one of the worst stays I have ever experienced in my life. very poor quality, the rooms look like servant quarters. The people are super helpful and very polite, but the facility is just not nice. I paid for breakfast, but when I went to the restaurant for breakfast, there was nothing. some guy comes and asks if I wanted him to make me coffee. there was no table set up, I didn't even see the kitchen. They told me they were refurbishing the restaurant, but still, no breakfast was provided. the property looks new but it is the poorest quality I have ever experienced. the bathroom sink is so tiny and uncomfortable. there was so much construction work and it was too loud.
- Solomon (8/5): Very good -
- Jenipher (8/5): Lovely - Restaurant was under renovation so can not rate food. As the restaurant was undergoing renovations was a bit of an inconvenience.
- Rem (10/5): Exceptional - The place is worth every penny, and i am so grateful to their customer service.
- Ivan (10/5): Great hotel/residence in Kigali - Great hotel/residence in Kigali in a walking distance to the International Convention Centre and the Kigali Heights. Perfect location. The staff is exceptional, very friendly and immediately facilitating any request I had. They provided free airport pickup and drop off. Additionally, in an occasion they offered free ride to the shopping area. The room was quite comfortable, king bed. very clean and the bathroom was also very spacious and clean. The cable TV in the room has hundreds of programs, which allowed me in a free time to watch the Olympic games. The breakfast was delicious and they also additionally provided type of food I like. Great value for the money.
- Ishumael (8/5): I enjoyed my stay at Amakuza. The reception was excellent especially Felix and his team who were welcoming and ready to - Amakuza was homely, location wonderful and facilities were good. The staff were so welcoming and made my stay and very first visit to Kigali wonderful.
