• Sanjeewa (9/5): - The staff and their attitude. Also the food was so tasty, bed was super comfortable Its was very hot outside, and very few trees in the garden to absorb heat.
• Nicole (10/5): 1 night stay in March - Incredible hotel, looked like we were the only ones there. Grounds were very impressive. Staff were attentive. Well maintained and cleaned. Loved the peacocks roaming around. Bathroom was incredible and spacious. Room needs a mini fridge. Card machine wasn't working on check out and no ATM close by.

• Julia (7/5): - Die Zimmereinrichtung und das Bad sind sehr schön. Der Pool und der Außenbereich sind auch total schön und gepflegt. Das Essen war auch gut. Wir hatten Zimmer 102 und die ganze Nacht hörten wir ein lautes Tropfgeräusch, obwohl es schon seit Stunden nicht mehr geregnet hat. Es war auch nicht der Wasserhahn. Möbel auf dem Balkon wären wünschenswert.

• Werner (10/5): Super goed verblijf gehad - Super mooie accommodatie, mooie kamers, groot zwembad, hele mooie locatie, Personeel is te opdringerig, tijdens het eten wijken ze niet van je tafel
• Gaby (8/5): Sehr schön um zu entspannen. - Dass es so ruhig und entspannend war. Der Nationalpark direkt vor der Tür. Haben zum ersten Mal ein Chamäleon gesehen. Schöne komfortable Zimmer. Ein kleines Dorf ist nur 1,2 km entfernt mit einem wundervollen preiswerten Markt. Dass die fahrer die kommen, um einen wohin zu bringen, wie ins Dorf oder zur wunderbaren Statue am Wasser - sehr teuer für Sri Lanka sind.

• Gregor (7/5): - Nice swimming pool and clean and spacious bathroom The price is very high vs the quality you get compared to other places. Room made squeaking sounds with every step, the AC attached to the wooden wall also made it squeak so we had to turn it off during the night so we wouldn't wake up constantly. Early morning you are woken up by the lights because the curtains let all the light through. During dinner the chairs were nice, food was average and there was one guy calling loudly and watching Netflix with the sound loud. Not really a relaxing ambience. Singular things wouldn't be the biggest issue but all together it is a bit disappointing. In general it is a nice and good hotel but the price is way too high.
• Cristina (8/5): Perfecto para un dia de descanso. - La habitación amplia, la terraza, la piscina, la amabilidad de los trabajadores, la cena muy buena y el desayuno espectacular!! Demasiado cloro en el agua de la ducha y lavamanos, picaban los ojos y la piel. En la terraza faltaba alguna butaca o tumbona y algo para colgar los bañadores y toallas mojadas. No vimos elefantes.
• faisal ahmed (7/5): An average stay with decent grounds and staff, but improvements are needed with the pool and breakfast - The hotel grounds were decent and the staff were good and accommodating The pool had a lot of flies and insects, which made it less enjoyable to use. The buffet breakfast had a very limited choice, so we ended up just sticking to toast and tea.

• Lilliott (10/5): Elephyard retreat - Exceptional hotel, some building works as the hotel is very new but no disturbance at all. Welcome cool towel and drink was a lovely treat after our long journey. Excellent service, fantastic, incredibly good value food. The pillows are amazing. I need some!! I could find no faults at all with anything at the hotel. Although an extremely quiet retreat it is only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of a lively local town.

• Sijmen (10/5): Exceptional - Truly a fantastic place, a hidden gem. Close to the beautiful Lake Sorabora (800m), this is an oasis of peace and comfort. The rooms are very luxurious and stylishly decorated, the large garden and ditto pool are lovely. The staff; Ruwan and his colleagues, treat you like Royalty! The food is the best I have eaten in Sri Lanka, without exaggeration. Wish we could have stayed longer than just two nights! Wish we could stay longer 😊

The room, bed and shower were very nice No comfortable chairs at the pool, there was no view on rice fields like on the picture, rooms were kind of noisy, our expectations based on the pictures were not met

• Malagala (3/5): Poor - Spacious room, ease of access and few meters away from Sorabora wewa. Though we have informed our arrival time in advanced, room was not ready even we reached on given time. There were no reception desk to navigate arrivals. Lack or room amenities. There was no mini fridge, and wardrobe to hangout cloths. During night time it was too noisy due to an arrangement (musical band) made by the hotel management to entertain few people. Breakfast was below par and not worth for the money we spent. Highly expensive buffet.

• Duminda (9/5): I really enjoyed staying in Elephyard Retreat, Mahiyanganaya where there are lot of nature. - We loved this place because it's a perfect Location. Its Nature friendliness is remarkable. The Pool was in front of the paddy where you could see many birds always and maybe elephants rarely. The room arrangement is great and privacy is high. It was a rainy day.

• Peter (8/5): Spotless new place - All new, spotless clean, nice bathroom, Bamboo curtains Waited more then 20 minutes for someone who was allowed to do the bill. Boss went to the city leaving staff clueless behind. I was leaving with no receipt just left the money there.

• Betty (9/5): Superb - The staff were incredibly dedicated to ensuring we would have what we need and went out of their way to help us. The room was very clean and spacious and the place was very peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious too! Food was always served cold. This was partially our fault at dinner as we were quite late, but we showed up on time for breakfast and still got cold food. This is one thing the staff could improve on.
