• Aalders (10/5): For us it was exactly what we wanted. Quiet, no other people, surrounded by nature, simple and clean - Dreamlike Absolutely loved this place. If you’re looking for shopping, nightlife, or a busy atmosphere, this is not the spot — and that’s exactly why it’s so special. It feels like stepping into a dream: surrounded by lush jungle and private rice paddies, far away from everything. The setting is peaceful and truly unique. The owners are incredibly kind, speak good English, and are happy to spend time chatting and sharing insights about their culture and daily life. The rooms are simple, clean, and thoughtfully designed in traditional joglo style. Wi-Fi can be a bit inconsistent, but that only adds to the experience — it’s the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and reconnect with nature Actually there wasn't anything I didn't like. I probably forgot to write many things that I did like. The place is remote, in the middle of nature and very simple. So if this is what you are after, it's perfect. If not... then you will not like it here.

Set in quiet, private and beautiful surroundings. Adi and Agus are wonderful hosts who make you feel part of a family. Peni and Mae cooked a stunning and delicious traditional meal from local ingredients. We wish we could have stayed longer and recommend Duegoal to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to relax and enjoy a local Balinese experience. Google navigation was not accurate in locating the road to Duegoal. Best to contact the owners (who speak excellent English) for precise directions.
• Manuel (10/5): The Real Bali - Just amazing! - Everything, amazing hospitality, the small house is a hidden gem, perfect for nature lovers. The nature sound at night is so magical, the view into the Rice fields. The dinners there with local food partly from djungle picked veggies (fern) was so tasty. Thank you to the whole family for this incredible experience! The place is correctly marked in Google, but Google Navigation bring you to the wrong street. The correct street to the house is good.

Η τοποθεσία του καταλύματος ήταν ειδυλλιακή. Δίπλα στη ζούγκλα, ενώ ακριβώς μπροστά από το μπαλκόνι μας, είχαμε θέα έναν ορυζώνα!! Η φύση σε όλο της το μεγαλείο!! Ο Augus μας συντρόφεψε στη βόλτα μας στο δάσος, εξηγώντας μας πάρα πολλά γύρω μας. Ακόμα, μάζεψε φτέρες, όπου τις φάγαμε το ίδιο βράδυ!! Η May, μας μαγείρευε κάθε μέρα αγνό σπιτικό φαγητό! • Christoph (10/5): Best place in Bali for people wanting to get away from it all... - This was the second time we spent four nights at this place, and we will definitely come back! It is our favourite place in Bali! The cute cottage is surrounded by bushland and rice fields. All you hear is the sound of nature. This is not a place for party people, but nature lovers, writers, musicians who are happy to relax and enjoy a nature setting. The family members who run the place are extremely friendly and will do anything to make your stay memorable. The included breakfast is great and it's a pleasure to eat it on the veranda with view over the rice fields. The woman who cooks was happy to show us how to cook traditional foods. The nights can be spent playing music and singing around the campfire with the local musos. Absolutely nothing we didn't like!

We were blown away by the magic of the cottage, set in a lush, vibrant jungle next to rice terraces. So incredibly beautifully. This is a hidden gem. The food was delicious and authentic Balinese. Ik heb genoten van alles, inclusief de rust. Heerlijk gewandeld onder begeleiding van Agus en pup Brownie via een mooi pad met mooi uitzicht en door de jungle naar pura luhur batukaro. Kortom: een fijne plek op een authentiek stukje Bali. Niets!

• Flo Duc (10/5): Parenthèse enchantée au milieu des rizières - Tout a été parfait au Duegoal farmhouse pour nous! Un hébergement typique dans un cadre unique, au milieu de la rizière et des fermes de Jatiluwih. Une ambiance sereine et apaisée. Un accueil sincère et très chaleureux, les hôtes sont à l'écoute et avec l'envie de nous faire découvrir la région (on a adoré le trek dans la jungle sur les bons conseils d'Adi!) Possibilité de louer un scooter pas cher pour aller sillonner les rizières du coin à l'écart de la foule de touristes tous amassés au même endroit! Le soir, May peut vous apporter le dîner, typiquement balinais. Petit déj avec les fruits du jardin, délicieux ! Contrairement à ce que j'ai lu dans les commentaires: il y a l'électricité, l'eau chaude et tout est confortable. Il s'agit cependant d'un hébergement typique balinais, passez votre chemin si vous êtes habitués au luxe et au style des hôtels occidentaux. :-) Merci à Adi et May pour cette parenthèses enchantée, de loin notre meilleur expérience à Bali! Rien en fait. Cet hébergement nous a réconcilié avec Bali que l'on trouvait surfait et trop touristique!

De warme douche onder de blote hemel was hemels! Als je van luxe houdt dan is dit niks voor je. Mijn dochter moest echt wennen aan de eenvoud, de afgelegen plek en geen andere toeristen.

• Jeroen (9/5): A secret place to hide away and find rest and peace. - Location of the bungalow is extraordinary and secluded surrounded by ricepaddies and jungle. Absolute privacy. No wifi. But there is electricity and sunpanel. No hot shower but.... hundreds of birds, frogs sing a continuous song for you. And.. you will receive so much love and attention of Mae, Adi and August, that you wiĺ not miss the hot shower! Food prepared by Mae is typical Bali. A place we will not forget! Thanks for all your love! For some, the location could be somewhat remote but the village is just a 10 minute walk. The region can easily be discovered by scooter. .

• Dina (10/5): Extremely beautiful experience! Being here feels like soul healing. I left feeling open, peaceful and happy, and with a - Amazing place! The hosts Adi and May are so kindhearted and helpful people, and they take you in like family! The cottage is beautifully located in the lush jungle, if you want to connect with nature and feel the zen it is the perfect place! May cooked all meals for me, very delicious Indonesian food with local ingredients! She also took me around for sightseeing in the area, she is such a wonderful person it is impossible not to be happy with her. Adi helped med with all my practical needs. There is electricity in the cottage, hot water shower, they supply drinking water and there is a kettle along with tea and coffee. Everything you need. Nothing! However it is very secluded so make sure you are looking for a quiet time to connect with nature.

• Christoph (10/5): Peaceful oasis in the middle of rice fields and fruit trees - The stay at the farmhouse was easily the best experience we had in Bali. The rustic cabin is tastefully built and beautifully decorated. There is a lovely outside bathroom, like in many places in Bali. The room is quite large and has a big double bed with mozzie net and a separate single bed. The verandah is overlooking rice fields and a fruit and vegetable plantation. The only sounds you can hear is the running water from the rice fields and the sounds of nature, like lots of frogs at night, and birds during the day. The family who is running the place (at this stage there is only one cabin available) are so lovely and friendly. The sister made us beautifully presented and very tasty breakfasts and dinners every day. In the evenings we would go over to their little house to sit by the fire, play music and sing together, and share stories. There are so many things to see and do around the area, even within walking distance. We had a driver who lives in the nearby village who was also a very good guide and even organised a Gamelan lesson for us in the village. If you love nature, traditional culture and can do without other tourists around, this place is amazing! Not that it mattered to us, but when we were there, there was no power or hot water available. There were solar lights though that were excellent, and we could charge devices over at the owner's house. While we were there, the power got connected, and the hot water will happen shortly. You will also have to be comfortable to share the place with frogs, insects and the occasional mouse, and it's a good idea to place all food items in the large cupboard in the room. As the name says this is a farm stay, not a luxury resort, so if you're into luxury, this place is probably not for you. If you love nature and traditional culture, you won't regret coming here.

• Pablo (10/5): Magic days in Bali - The kindness of the hosts (Adi, Adi’s sister Kadek) is amazing. The house was built and decorated with care and love by Adi and you immediately feel very comfy there. The house is surrounded by rice fields and nature. Nothing. Just as a warning: if you are afraid of little frogs, small lizards or small spiders, keep in mind that they can enter at night.

The little house is so beautiful, it’s so unique. We had such an amazing time here but the highlight was definitely our host Adi, he is such a lovely man. We had a lot of fun talking to him, and he was so helpful for anything we needed or wanted to know about the area. His sister makes an amazing breakfast too! We will definitely be back, this place is a little slice of paradise. Nothing. It was perfect.

Incredibly charming, in the middle of jungle and rice terraces. In the night, fire flies dance around the house and you can fall asleep listen to the sounds of the jungle around you. This place isn’t for everyone, but if you’re willing to live without some amenities and need an escape from the crowds, this is your spot. Incredible hosts that make you feel at home. If you want to unwind, reconnect to yourself and immerse into Mother Nature don’t search no longer. You are taken care of in the most genuine and kind way possible. Everything surrounds you is vibrantly alive and will radiant to you. I’m still here while writing this review and would love to stay forever. Thank you brother Adi, Agus and sister Meirawati. • Lucie (10/5): Exceptional - This place is really magical. If you are looking for a place, where time stops and you want to be properly connected with nature, this a place to stay. To see in the night so many fireflies is really magic! We loved not having WiFi and no electricity. The solar generated lighting was more than adequate. If we could, we would have loved to stay much longer. The bed was very comfy, the temperature for sleeping was lovely. Every morning Komar brought for us delicious breakfast. The architecture is amazing. Ady made the house with a soul. It was the best place from our travel.
• Ashur (10/5): Magical, secluded, and natural farmstay, a gorgeous experience - This place is insane. Insanely beautiful, peaceful, quiet, gorgeous, and magical. Our hosts were incredibly generous, kind, and welcoming, and we felt comfortable and right at home from the very start. The cottage is surrounded by small rice patties and jungle, and each morning we awoke to birdsong and the soft sound of the breeze through the trees. It felt like we had our own little paradise, completely immersed in the Batukaru landscape. Gede, one of our hosts, would bring us traditional Balinese breakfasts each morning, consisting of Pandan pancakes, yellow rice, and fresh fruit. These were the best breakfasts I had in Indonesia. There was also coffee and tea that we enjoyed in the mornings. There is no wifi, no hot water, no electricity (although there are solar lights that provide light in the evening), and this just adds more magic to the experience. Without these facilities you are encouraged to slow down, engage with the environment, rise and fall with the sun, and take in this wonderful corner of the world that you have found yourself in. During our stay, our hosts became our friends, and we went walking with them in the jungle, visited the hot springs nearby, played music together in the evening, and shared special clove cigarettes. It was truly an awe-inspiring time that filled us with gratitude. Thank you Gede, Kedek and crew, I can’t wait to visit again. Not one thing

• Oliver (10/5): Perfect Bali paradise - The most amazing place, literally heaven. Just so nice and charming, super comfy beds (it says when U book double bed and sofa bed but it's not a sofa bed its a lovely comfy single bed.) The owner is awesome so friendly and brought us tea and fresh coconut really went above and beyond. It's super private basically a log cabin in a beautiful forest opening with rice fields. Cannot recommend this enough also driving distance from hot springs and the great lakes and rice fields. Absolutely nothing
• Oriane (10/5): The best nature immersed house of Bali - This was the best experience I had so far. The house is located in the middle of nature, 0,7km from the road and neighbors, you will be totally immersed. I had my bike, so it was easy to come and go. During the day, you can drive around to see the most beautiful part of Bali, rice fields everywhere! Do not hesitate to ask the host. My stay was incredible, thanks to Agus. He took care of everything in a lovely way and anticipated our needs. Tea, coffee, fruits from the garden, amazing local breakfast, dinner delivery, everything. Agus was staying in a house close to us, we couldn't see him from our house which let us privacy but he's not far and can be available with a text. The room itself is really comfy and clean. The bed is soft and equipped with a big mosquito net (there were not many insects anyway). I loved the beautiful outside bathroom, with soap and shampoo at the disposal. The best attribute is the large terrace. It's even more beautiful than the photos when you hear nature and enjoy the relaxing vibe of the place. Thank you again. The house is new, I was the 3rd guest to come (May 2024). At my time, there was no electricity yet, but they installed strong solar lights, which were enough. The host told me that before arriving, I liked the honesty. Don't worry, electricity will be finished soon, feel free to ask them for more information. Otherwise, everything was perfect!
• Ardissone (10/5): to all the backpackers craving for some authentic adventure and sharing moments - meet Adi a farmer from a small village near jatiluwih who created this wonderful wood cabin with second hand material. you will find everything you need, the accommodation is more than clean and confortable. I felt lucky to be Adi's first guest, he was so delighted to make me discover his surroundings and sharing conversations around some music. thank you for these unforgettable moments.
