• Chris (3/5): Didn't meet expectations. - Room is fine but no hot water in the bathroom. Fan cooling (no AC) was sufficient overnight in April. The host (Auntie) was charming and made us feel welcome. This is advertised as a homestay yet meals had to be arranged at an additional cost. Breakfast fruit was great but dinner was very basic. There is no live-in host after 8.30pm, and the visiting son/nephew took advantage of this by hosting a noisy kitchen party. We were kept awake from 2am by the caged rooster which then roused the stray dogs. We booked for 3 nights but left early as we couldn't find safe transport to explore the local area. Taxi / jeep options are limited and don't have seat belts.
• Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional accommodation, so much attention to detail. Very welcoming and caring host. She even took us for a lovely walk into their own small cardomam and pepper plantation. A fully equipped stylish kitchen for guests to use. We were given great recommendations for a nearby diner. The location is perfect. Such a lovely area. I wish we would have had a few more days to stay. Very happy:)
