- Chris (4/5): - I arrived to find that air conditioning did not exist in the building. The room was 27 Celsius. A fan could be supplied but that would require a 20$ deposit. The solution was to pay another 45$ and move to the building with AC. This took time and energy when all I wanted to do was sleep. The person at the counter named Blessing was extremely helpful. Kudos to them.
- Daniel (10/5): Acadia University - The dorm room was very clean and quiet. We went to spend the weeeknd helping our son move into another dorm and watch some of the football practices. The grounds were well maintained. Very easy to get around.

Hall floors never swept or moped in over a month - only bathrooms. In room dusty inappropriate ventilation system left running constantly all summer - should be cleaned during summers.
- Doreen (8/5): - It’s a university dorm with few amenities. Read reviews! We took a fan and a Kerig coffee maker- thank goodness because it was a hot night. Nice little kitchen area with microwave and full fridge with freezer. Exactly what we expected. Check in area not well marked but staff were very friendly. We are both alumni so it was fun to come back!

- Paul (10/5): - This is a pretty solid choice for affordable summer travel accommodations with one big issue. It's a standard single dorm room with a bed, desk and wardrobe. There's a shared bathroom - two of them - and we were there with very few other people so there was no issue with waiting. There is a kitchenette with a fridge/freezer which we used to freshen up our cooler ice packs. What's the issue? There's no air conditioning and no fans. And when we were there Nova Scotia was in the grips of a heat wave. We went out and bought a fan from a local hardware store so we could sleep. The good news is we were there only one night and we are now up one portable fan. That said, parking was right by the building and the downtown strip was within walking distance (5-10 min). It's a great option, but book when the temperature isn't in the 30s, bring your own fan or prepare to sweat.

- Eric (6/5): - This would be a good choice for someone familiar with the Acadia campus. Since I wasn't, it was difficult to find the building for my check-in (which wasn't the same building as our room). The printed guide for summer visitors assumed a lot of campus knowledge -- and in any case should have been email to people with reservations ahead of time. Room adequate, but no towels.

- Jing (4/5): - The blanket smells of body odour. The shared kitchen has no kettle for boiling water, zero plates, bowl, spoon, etc. Two single use plastic cups were in the room, that all. I was given a room on 4th floor, there was no hot water the night I checked in, so I couldn't shower. The coffee and tea on offer was in a different building block, to access it I must get down from 4th floor, walking out the building where my room is, and through a large open space to another building to the reception area. Because there were no areas to sit, once you get your coffee, you must take it elsewhere to drink it. The check in was difficult too, because the buildings are looked the same and signage for check-in isn't obvious. I paid over $140 per night of stay and got an experience that was worse than accommodation I paid less than $80 for a night!

- Claude (6/5): - Nous avons trouvé très difficilement le lieu l adresse n étant pas celle du site et l autre fournie apparaissant dans les instructions spéciales consultées tardivement de notre côté ,ceci étant le cas d autres touristes " en perdition" .En fait il faut pénétrer dans l enceinte de l'université et rejoindre un autre bâtiment .Surprise de constater que la chambre correspond à une chambre d étudiant. douche ou baignoire et wc se trouvant à l extérieur de celle-ci. Il n y avait pas de séchoir à cheveux ni de deuxième serviette et deuxième oreiller ce qui manifeste une absence de vérifications avant l arrivée.. Quid si nous étions arrivés tardivement ! En fait la précision de ces points permettrai de mettre en garde des voyageurs relativement âgés.

Found this very strange and didn't see anyone else dealing with this issue and it was not resolved. I received the worst service of my life and asked for a refund and left.

- Tomomi (10/5): - The Acadia University is located near the main street of Wolfville. It was such a lovely campus! I particularly loved visiting inside and outside of the Irving Environmental Science Centre, which was so close to the residence building!!

- Caley (6/5): Budget basic. - This is a dorm room. No frills, tv, or AC (very hot inside, fan can be borrowed with deposit). Bathroom is not ensuite (shared). Pool is offsite. It is a budget accommodation, but considering how basic, still feels overpriced. Staff initially did not want to honour my hotels.com pricing. The best part about my stay was visiting the KC Irving building and gardens adjacent to the building.
