- Harrison (7/5): Decent but could be better. - Location, neighborhood feel, host was responsive, heaters and hot water all worked fine The pillows and mattresses were worn out and stained though the linens covering were immaculate. The beds were not comfortable and sunk in the middle. Only one burner works on the stove.

- Hongcheng (8/5): Goood value - Good location, very close to Kiyomizu (清水寺). Bus stops are close. There are 2 bed rooms, one with 2 beds and another one with one bigger bed. The stairs are deep (may not be suitable for old people), and no bathroom upstairs.

- Lisa (5/5): The accommodations were located well but were not very comfortable. - The location is excellent. Cleanliness is poor, I had to wash a greasy pot Before I could use it. The oven was also very greasy and we could not use that. The stove did not work properly. The twin beds were very uncomfortable. There were no personal touches and nothing extra. Accommodations were very basic.

- Kenner (7/5): a lot of walking to everything - authentic feeling, nice bathroom, affordable 2 of 3 beds really, really uncomfortable. Big hole in mosquito net for a cat to enter - lead to a lot of mosquitoes in the house (or no fresh air) had a bit of that old dusty abandoned smell about it, even though the place was clean except from the balcony.
