Guest Reviews

- Andrea (8/5): - We have a lovely stay! The boat is very private from anything else on the property and it was easy to find and check in. We camp a lot so we're used to outside bathrooms and toilets but I can see how this isn't for everyone. But the toilet and bathroom were nice and clean. We enjoyed a fire at night and watched the satelites fly overhead, but it's worth noting you need to bring your own wood. I'm not sure I saw that in the notes when I booked the property. Nothing! We had a great stay
- Nirmit (10/5): It’s memorable day for me. - It was really fun at property, something different and cozy atmosphere. Definitely should try once. Washroom is bit far from bedroom but still good experience
- Renee (9/5): had a lovely 2-night stay. would absolutely stay again! - perfect location, very quiet and secluded. saw lots of stars!
- Amelia (10/5): Overall would most definitely recommend this stay for so much more than just a glamping experience! - This was an incredible hidden gem! We absolutely loved our stay here! It’s so cute and quirky and with all the amenities you could need for a getaway. Outdoor bath was beautiful! Shower was great as well! Some reviews are cautionary about the toilet situation but as someone who has been to many music festivals and remote camp spots, this place has the most immaculate port-a-loo I have ever seen and smelled very well maintained!
There was a slight damp smell inside the boat, but it’s a boat! So that was somewhat expected and honestly got accustomed to it quite quickly!
- Kristi (1/5): Terrible, musty mouldy, unclean & old sheets - do not stay here till it’s fixed up. - It had a unique concept and could have been good if it was maintained. However it was mouldy and damp inside and the roof leaked in multiple places. It was dangerous as water was leaking near power points and all over the microwave. The bedding was unclean. The outdoor bath was actually nice & clean. In addition to it not being waterproof and damp and musty, the doona, pillows and sheets were very old and not cleaned. They smelled like sleeping people. It was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. I would have preferred to sleep in the port-a-loo! - And I’m a seasoned camper and used to rustic. We complained and never heard back! Very disappointing. We had to leave at early hours in the morning as water was coming in and wetting all our luggage!
- Alena (10/5): - Uniqueness, peaceful location, clear communication by the hosts Nothing
- Madalena (9/5): - Very cosy living space, fire pit was nice and big and easy to use, added amenities were nice. Good location, short drive to several beaches and the hot springs.
- Abbey (10/5): Cosy - It is very unique and you can see the work put into setting up the space Nothing
- Liz (10/5): - Best holiday ever, the boat was fanatic, so much fun. The facilities were clean, the localion was secluded. The whole experience was amazing 10/10
- Monique (1/5): The stay was extremely disappointing due to a rude host, lack of water on arrival, misleading accommodation details, and - Nothing, the owner was rude, no water at the property when we arrived. We were blaker for no water being in the water tank although we just arrived. We had to leave as we didn’t feel comfortable or safe after being berated.
Also the toilet was a portaloo and apparently you have to prime the pump to make the water work. Not something you should need to worry about on holidays and not what is stipulated in the description of the accommodation. Very disappointed definitely would not recommend!!! Everything. The boat looked like a nice experience but unfortunately it was a no go.
- Courtney (8/5): location was close to the gunamatta beach horse ride. Made for a fantastic romantic weekend away - It was a great experience to stay on such a well kit out boat. We kept warm with a nice fire & enjoyed the remote & private atmosphere. Only the outside portable toilet.
- Lucie (8/5): Perfect weekend getaway from the city! - It was an amazing experience! The boat was awesome, a great novelty. Couldn’t fault the location. St Andrew’s Beach Brewery a minute down the road, perfect for a drink and take home pizzas to have a relaxing fire on a cold night and star gaze in the night sky. Tallarida winery also 5 minutes away for a $15 tasting. 10 minute drive into Rye for the perfect morning brew at Cafe El Capitan or a 20 minute drive into Sorrento and stop in at Flat Blk for another perfect morning brew sitting in the tram. The sounds of the beach at night were the added perfect factor! Overall a great experience, that I will recommend! Be weary with the Victorian winter weather that it is a camping experience and still quite chilly despite having a heater in the boat. Make sure you pack some winter woollies to sleep in! And bring a brollie if rain my be about as you will be walking in the weather for the toilet/bathroom and shower (thankfully no rain on our little weekend getaway)
- Renee (10/5): My parter and I had an incredible time at Shipwrecked Oasis, it was the perfect “home away from home” - the purpose of t - It is so unique, private and spacious, there was plenty of entertainment whereby we did not feel we needed to leave the property, and it had everything we needed to cook, clean, sleep, bathe and relax - and not only was the location prime it was comforting knowing our hosts Karen and James were in such close proximity if we needed them Quite a few spiders paid us a visit but in such terrain its natural to experience that
- Kyikyi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (5/5): The location was lovely, the boat could do with some cleaning and repairs. - The boat was a quirky addition to our weekend away. The outdoor areas were comfortable, and there were spaces to relax. There was a lovely brewery down the road, which was great for dinner and drinks. The property was very quiet except for a family who wanted to come and have a look at the accommodation to see if they could stay there. The sound of the waves at the beach were also lovely. The boat is old, that's ok, however when it rained (most of the weekend) the roof leaked and unfortunately our things got very wet with nowhere to dry anything. The inside of the boat was very smelly, like old wet towels and musty. The door only locked from the outside (padlock) so there was no way of securing the door of an evening.
The shower was in a separate space beside the boat, that was nice, however the toilet was a porta loo under a tree down the back. It was also very pungent, I am not a fan of a porta loo, especially in the middle of the night. This might be much better located in the small shower area.
Overall if the boat had a deep clean, got rid of the dusty bedding and fixed up the leaks it would have been much nicer.
- Nabila (7/5): Beautiful accomodation , just needs a few attention to details! - An amazing unique accommodation! A beautiful spot, with complete privacy. A beautiful fire pit area! The boat had all the basics things we needed, including a microwave. Outside there was a bbq, which was very useful during our stay. The bathroom and portable toilet are just a few steps away. There was a few issues with the running water in the boat and shower. It did not always work, we had to constantly keep turning on the pump to make it work. Also, the inside of the boat was not really clean, a lot of spider webs, mini cockroaches and ants around the kitchen area. Lastly, there was a dog, not sure where it came from, came
to our site a few times and we got worried as we were not familiar with the temperament of the dog or who it belonged to.

- Mahnee (8/5): Ocean Glamping on land - Outdoor bath is great, the whole outside area with Bali and firepit is unique. The owners are really friendly and helpful with any concerns before and during our stay.
Toilet is the cleanest portaloo I've used.
We had everything we needed on board. Bed was comfy, and we had all the basics. The wifi was a little patchy. But the TV had internet and that worked fine.
