Guest Reviews
- Meyer (7/5): -
- Brittany (10/5): It was wonderful with my friends and just what we need , it’s not lot of space but it’s so cozy especially with the weat - it was comfortable and cozy
- Sutherland (9/5): Best getaway destination - The host was an absolute sweetheart, super helpful and really made it feel like a home away from home. It was so calm and the perfect getaway for my partner and I.
Everything was neat and orderly and a definite great contrast compared to other guesthouses ive stayed in. Close to Kalk bay and Fish hoek beach, fresh air and close to all stores.
- mel (8/5): - Excellent location. Close to shops. Kalk bay, Muizenburg, are very close. Lovely, coastal towns. Mountain view from balcony. Very friendly host. It's an upstairs unit, which was not shown in the pictures on the website. Do take care,, as it's steep stairs specially with the kids and the elderly..
- Samuel (9/5): A cozy spot from which to explore Fish Hoek and surroundings - The location was excellent, in the middle of a quiet neighborhood in Fish Hoek. The apartment was sufficiently spacious for our family of five, with fast and reliable Wifi. We loved the front deck! Veronique was a gracious host, providing a baby crib and even allowing us a later checkout as we waited for our evening flight.
- Claire (7/5): Comfortable and convenient for overnight or short visits. - No Hairdryer, please consider getting one
- Van_C007♡ (4/5): Average - From the onset,
The apartment looks well maintained from outside however, the apartment itself needs TLC the bedrooms were not comfortable ltd space bad lighting and the bedding was not up to std, itchy dusty smell throughout, the entire house had a very stale/windy scent the carpets throughout very dirty! Coupled with old furnitre.
The colour of the walls very depressing! No TV for entertainment(we had to bring our own). Kitchenware was dirty we had to clean everything before use, however the kitchen is well maintained it just needs 2 bar stools for seating if preferred. The bathroom had no showermat no toiletries the bath is in bad shape and towels were also dirty!
No wonder there is a no cancellation policy because once paid you cannot backout,do not be deceived by pictures and when travelling with kids it will be a nightmare as there is no tv for their entertainment.
I cannot say much about the host because she only met with us once, upon arrival friendly and polite. We are grateful to have had a place to sleep but was very disappointed with the state of the apartment and for a waste of money it was,as we travel to fish hoek every year and usually find decent places. No hard feelings but I think alot can be done to upgrade the place and make it actually habitual. Bad weather
- Llynith (9/5): - Found it to be rustic and cosy as advertised. Comfortable stay for a family of 5- it suited our requirements. Close enough to enjoy an early evening walk to the beach, and explore the town. The main bedrooms bed was comfortable. Spacious balcony with braai enlarged the space.
- Evodia (9/5): - I must tell the host Veronique was so helpful and friendly. We asked to leave the luggage as our bus was departing at 6pm and us checkinout at 10am. Veronique never minded, we had our last day at the beach.
The place had hot running water and wifi, we had a beautiful stay and I would recommend for everyone to go there Sitting room needs a little bit of touch, other than that everything is ok
- elva (7/5): - The house is well equipped for self catering The stairs are steep. The home needs to be aired stale smell. The parking was difficult to navigate
- Singh (9/5): - Everything was on point Parking area and driveway a bit small
- Shaun (9/5): Restful stay with all the comforts of home enhanced by exceptional hosting. - From the onset, the host Veronique was great! We were met with her warm smile and accommodated with an earlier check-in. She was accessible throughout our stay for any questions. Her insight on the area and surrounding areas was very useful. The accommodation had enough space, all the comforts of home and extras such as an interesting library, a braai and a deck; as well as quality linen. We slept very well! The environment was serene, our privacy respected and it provided the much-needed rest we envisaged. Nothing that is related to our stay - the weather was extremely windy, so we chose to keep the windows and the door closed most of the time.
- Wood (10/5): It was a peaceful, quiet stay and I will book here again. - Perfect for my needs - fantastic WiFi, close to the beach for a break, and shops and restaurants nearby. The host was kind and helpful. I didn't need anything more. Everything functioned very well, and I had an ironing board too. There was nothing i didn't like.

- Dunn (8/5): Location is good with a good view of the town and mountains. - Very old place but well maintained. Easy access to the beach and shops. Loved the fire place which helped during the cold evenings. It wasn’t cleaned well before we arrived.
- Russell (8/5): Comfortable for the price - Location Parking issues
- Sasa (8/5): Very good - It is situated in the very tranquil & safe neighborhood. The area is very peaceful and accessible to the business district The access to the upstairs building is only accessible by stairs.
- Elzibie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Brendan (7/5): Good -
- Bernard (9/5): Great host, good location, quiet neighbourhood -
- Caroline (8/5): Very good -
- Jansen (6/5): Pleasant - The house is spacious.
Good & fast WiFi/internet.
4km's away from beach - swimming, surfing , restaurants & the best ice-cream! Road is noisy from the front bedroom.
Safe parking space for 1 car.
No television.
- Jermaine (10/5): Exceptional - The best host in the world, I give it a 11 outta 10.
- Francois (9/5): Superb -
- Blanka (8/5): Very good - Very cozy, u easily feel at home. Safe and secure and with very friendly hosts who give u great recommendations of the area.
A few minutes to the best beach around Cape Town, we swam there every day.
Just around the corner from a nature reserve, which is great for morning and evening walks. Shops are also nearby.
All in all a great place to stay.
Ideal for remote work, Internet is excellent, even with loadshedding it remains stable.
Spacious and ideal for couples, families or friends, as it has three bedrooms.
Thanks a lot for a wonderful week at your house!
