Disappointing Stay – Important Details Missing from the Listing The unit we received turned out to be a basement-level apartment, a detail that was not mentioned anywhere in the Booking description. When we arrived, we discovered that the adjacent unit was under renovation. Workers were using noisy power tools, and the staircase was covered with dust and sand, making it difficult to keep the place clean — especially in rainy weather. The design of the unit raises serious safety concerns. To reach the shower, you have to climb very high steps (around 25 cm each). The floor is made of smooth marble, which becomes extremely slippery when wet. I actually slipped and almost injured my leg. There are also other tripping hazards, such as a 5 cm drop at the entrance to the unit. It’s hard to believe such a setup meets basic safety standards. Regarding kitchenware – there were only two sets of ceramic cups, one small and one large, and no proper glasses for water, juice, or wine. When I asked the owner about it, he simply said, “That’s what’s available.” I ended up buying my own wine glass. The refrigerator is placed in a niche next to the bathroom, accessible only by climbing another high step, which makes it awkward and unsafe to use. The only positive aspect is the location – excellent, right in the heart of the city and close to everything. However, important details about the condition and layout of the unit should have been clearly stated in the listing.
