Guest Reviews
- Kim (9/5): Enjoyable stay. - Lovely little cottage. Great location, hot tub was a bonus. Would have liked some storage in the main bedroom for clothes.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carl (10/5): Perfect place. The hot tub and the fireplace were amazing. So chilled. ☺️ - Beautiful place. We loved every second of it!! Nothing at all.
- Suzanne (8/5): Had a great time - Located central to town. Beds really comfortable Holmfirth is a lively place with lots of bars and restaurants, with ease of access to other areas close by. In the location description, it lacks mentioning that it’s a steep walk up some cobblestone path to the property which can become treacherous when wet. This was a challenge for a guest with mobility issues and had to do it in stages.
All the knives were blunt so couldn’t cut many things and a new set of cutlery wouldn’t go a miss.
We were unable to use the hot tub due to an electrical fault, however they did try to fix it within an hour of us notifying them. Therefore an assessment of it can’t be made.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Great location. Hot tub was a highlight
- Jessica (5/5): A little disappointed as so much about the cottage was very good - Location was wonderful
The cottage very pretty and generally very presentable The second bed was extremely uncomfortable. My dust allergies were extremely bad so checking for dust I pulled the bed out and found it very dusty dirty underneath. There were dirty cotton buds, tissue, pair of pants! And a lot of dust.
- Cheryl (7/5): Holmfirth break - with duck race and music - Clearly done a great job on the renovation and the outside space is lovely and the hot tub a real bonus and quite private. We met Ben’s parents who were there when we arrived and they made us feel very welcome. Nice little welcome touches as well. Not sure if the owners live or visit regularly but lots of personal items in cupboards etc so felt a little bit like you were intruding. The day bed converted to a double was really uncomfortable to sleep on and there is no hanging space in one of the bedrooms and the limited drawer space in both bedrooms had stuff in. Not an issue for couple of days as left stuff in bag - but would be a pain if longer stay. Kitchen had lots of stuff in - but other than the mugs there wasn’t usually more than 2 the same - some plates were chipped but plenty of them. Same with food items left in fridge and cupboard- great bonus having sealed dry goods etc - but opened cereals and other bits - not so much.
- Judi (10/5): Fabulous stay in the centre of Holmfirth. - Very cute cottage and extremely well equipped. It's just off Daisy Lane which is a Last of the Summer Wine location. In the centre of town. Very comfortable and two great beds. Fabulous hot tub. Good communcation with owners before we went.
Park in Station Road car park then walk down the hill to Daisy Lane on the left. It's a steep, cobbled street so don't wear heels! You can top up parking on Ringo app.
Lots of great places to eat in town - recommend booking as it gets very busy. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. We liked everything. Another comfy chair and coffee table in the conservatory would be a good addition.
