Guest Reviews
- Lynn (6/5): Rented the house for a wedding and had a nice t8me - House was in a nice area , they had left milk and tea bags , which was a nice surprise The house is very dated , my sister struggled with the subsidence in the house , kitchen needs renewed , lounge area is lovely , the place was very clean , and I had to call the host regard8ng the door and she was very helpful .
- Neil (8/5): Homely, welcoming host and ideal stay with friends. - The location, big and spacious, everything we needed to enjoy our stay, warm and comfortable. Nice wee town few shops and a park close by with a coastal walk. Perhaps a wee refresh of the rooms and dust around wouldn't go a miss.
- Guillermo (6/5): Bad wifi and a bit dusty - The living room was comfortable. The house was very dusty and the house is not in the condition that it seemed online. The beds were hard and bad pillows, and the wifi was terrible.
- Young Rob (9/5): Good base in Perthshire - It was a good location to use as a base and travel to places.
The owner was quick to respond to issues.
We appreciated the starter/welcome pack.
Not far to shops and restaurants. The pillows in the room where the bed is pushed against the wall need to be washed or replaced.
No mirrors in bedrooms.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (5/5): Adequate - Property was in a good location for our needs and Newburgh itself is in a lovely location. The arrival pack of milk, butter, bread and chocolate was a nice wee surprise and the kitchen was well equippped. The whole property needs some tlc; the paintwork and walls throughout the property are grubby and marked. The radiator in the blue bedroom is covered in rust and looks dirty. The lock on the bathroom door is broken and there was no bedside light in the attic bedroom. The upstairs hall windows really need a blind or curtain particularly when people are going to the loo at night. The owners obviously pay for a cleaning company but I'm not sure they're doing a very good job for them, the laminate flooring in the kitchen and living room weren't that clean and we were left with lots of dirty soled socks as we followed instructions and took our shoes off at the door.
- Ludovic (10/5): A nice and lovely place to visit St Andrews area - Good location with facilities, large space, in front of a nice big parc with kids playground. Peaceful garden in the back, games for kids in the house, and a really nice home decoration.
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Beverley (9/5): Lovely short break - Location was great, attending Great Grandsons 1st birthday.
Loved walking along the banks for the Tay.
House was really nice, comfortable, just what we wanted for a short break. Didn't use any facilities in the kitchen at all apart from the coffee machine loved it. Needs a little updating with a lick of paint, however this did not deter our enjoyment of the stay.
- Julie (8/5): Gorgeous location for a holiday base - The place was pleasantly decorated and the owner had many nice touches to make us feel welcome
- Kelly (10/5): Bright, homely, little getaway - Was welcoming and good amenities No hand rail on the stairs.. that was a wee bit of a struggle for the older party member…
- Dmitry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (7/5): Oor Stramash Weekend - Good location, good size of property, lovely welcome pack. We had a great time but sadly, it needs a little TLC, especially round the edges, wee spring clean would help, lacking in kitchen utensils, e.g., no fish slice, so eggs were difficult, during brekkie, but on holiday you make do. Overall, property was perfect for our needs. It has a nice large kitchen and table where we spent most of our time. Lovely costal walk to Abbey and distillery would recommend and the staff in the Bear Inn super friendly, don't be put off by how it looks 😀
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (8/5): Great location for lovely walks and easy access to Perth. - Great location with gorgeous walks. Welcome food was a lovely addition, with bread, milk, butter, cereal, tea, coffee and a lovely bar of chocolate. Smelt a bit damp when we first arrived but possibly hadn't been used for a while.
Bed side table on both sides of bed on top floor would be useful.
- Lisa (8/5): A good base for a family meet up. - The house felt very homely. The beds were comfortable and the owner obviously wanted the house to have a homely feel. It was in a good location for visiting Perth and St Andrews. It was a little tired looking in certain areas.
- June (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Great spacious accommodation
Good for travelling and exploring fife
Small walk to coastal walk.
