Guest Reviews
- Jean (9/5): Good location for what we wanted to do. Modern equipment. Clean. - Bedroom was cramped & one person had to climb over the other to get in bed or the first one had to get up to let them in. Removing wardrobe would enable the bed to be moved over & allow a small bedside cupboard on each side of the bed.
- Calum (10/5): A very good break. - Very nice owners. Well looked after, and clean property. It was central / well situated to all we had planned to do on our days out. Narrow entrance to property. You had to be really cautious leaving the property as it goes straight out onto a main road. There is a mirror to help, but vehicles do travel quite fast along this road.
- Linda (9/5): Would be happy to stay again. Excellent, friendly hosts who were helpful and discreet. - Excellent accommodation for the two of us. Good location in order for us to see relatives in Christchurch.
Quiet, well equipped and pleasant surroundings. Just personal preference, nothing to not like. Bedroom was quite compact (we aren’t!) and sofa was quite saggy but it did have lots of cushions.

- Terry & Gerry (8/5): All Okay for us - All Okay
- Darren (10/5): We had everything we needed here and more. Self contained and left alone to come and as we pleased. - Location was ideal. A beautiful village and only 5 minutes away from where the wedding was that we attended There was nothing not to like

- marilyn (10/5): Great hosts, great accommodations - N/a
- Carrol (8/5): - the location was good for visiting family it didn't have an oven
- Robert (10/5): Lovely accommodation in a great location. - Lovely accommodation in an excellent spot within reach of numerous fantastic locations on the Dorset and Hampshire area.
The Lodge is a comfortable and well equipped accommodation with everything required for a short to medium trrm stay as well as parking up a private drive immediately outside the front door.
A Key Safe made our late arrival a non-issue, having arrived on the Bilbao Portsmouth ferry. Being met with a welcome pack of bread, butter, coffee, eggs, and conserves was a very nice touch.
We look forward to the opportunity of a future stay. There were absolutely no negatives worthy of mention.
Highly recommended.
- Julie (9/5): Lovely little lodge in a great location - Great central location, lovely accommodation with everything you could need for a short stay I’d have liked some outdoor space to sit with a glass of wine on a warm evening
- Mike (9/5): All in all lovely little holiday let, I would stay again - Lovely little property in lovely location, had everything I needed for a short stay.
I didn’t see the owners, which I didn’t mind , but they messaged me to check on the stay. If I am being picky it was just the fact that it did not have an oven. I am air fryer virgin but managed it, however perhaps a slightly larger one would have been better for two people.
- Sara (4/5): Would not recommend as is. - Badly arranged, too much kitchen, bed and bedroom needed to be bigger and desperately needed even a small window. Shower was excellent and there was everything you would need for a short stay. Unfortunately the air was woefully inadequate and there was no way of introducing a flow of air due to the configuration. Was most disappointed the cottage wasn’t down the lovel gravel path as suggested by the photo and was on a very busy A road.
- Timothy (10/5): . - . .
- Batubara (10/5): Really enjoyed our two nights stay in Dorset. The apartment was very comfortable. - The apartment was really comfortable, it had everything that we needed. Nothing

- Daniel (9/5): Great stay, would definitely look to use again when looking to visit the area. - Good location to explore Dorset. Lovely touch to have bread, milk, eggs, butter etc in the property.
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Dave popped to the door on the first evening to check I'd got in and settled. Very kindly left a variety of provisions ... milk, butter, bread, cereal, eggs etc. Exceptionally friendly and well placed for my travels.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional place to lodge - the hosts hospitality was exceptional. absolutely lovely people. The lodge was incredible nothing
- Coetzee (9/5): Superb -
- Jo (9/5): Superb - Great location. Comfortable well stocked accommodation for two people. Appreciated the little 'extras' like bread, eggs and milk. Hosts on site so were available if needed but not intrusive. Would stay again if we are ever back in Dorset. Payment arrangements stated on booking.com were incorrect so a little initial confusion. Easily and amicably resolved with the hosts.
