Guest Reviews
- Catherine (8/5): Nice loft apartment - Great location, had everything you needed in the apartment. The apartment has two large beams one in each room as it's it the roof of the house. These are shown on the pictures but you can't quite tell the effect on the room. The one in the living area you don't notice but the one in the bedroom makes you have to keep ducking under it to get around the room to the bed. This makes it all a bit awkward.
- Ben (9/5): -
- yvonne (9/5): Thankyou - Great location, nicely decorated and great facilities. Great communication and following a small issue managed to sort things out promptly
- SARAH (5/5): Suitable base camp - The shower wasnt great
- Inga (8/5): - Apartment itself was good, small but a couple to relax was a perfect size with everything you need in the kitchenBesides great location to everything.
There were some bits we didn't like but it wasn't the end of the world at all. The door lockers were a bit hard to unlock and should be fixed.🤣On the whole for a short stay, I would recommend to stay here for a couple without any kids.It has everything you need in the kitchen, WiFi and close to all Whitby wonderful view attractions. Just the lockers as hard to unlock the doors,no numbers on the doors, old and a bit hard to open windows. In the shower room, just 1 small shower gel pack for 2nigts ,for 2 people🤣.No parking permission cards for guests.Keep in mind, you have to find long stay parking and pay for it.
- Chloe (9/5): Perfect Cosy Stay - The apartment felt very cosy and homely, it is in a great location and has everything you need. Would definitely stay here again!
- David (9/5): Superb - Great location. Nice apartment with everything you need.
- Anne (9/5): Great location facilities value for money very clean and comfortable - Great Location, great housekeeping,
Very clean throughout, comfy bed,
Great facilities Single glazed wooden Windows could do with an upgrade, and of course you have to be careful hitting your head on the beams
None of these comments would stop us staying again had a great time
- Monica (6/5): Stay was ok but with issues. Whitby well worth a visit. - Kitchen area was clean and well equipped. Seating area was comfy for watching television. Shower very weak with no facilities to put shower gel etc so difficult especially with a bad back.
No information regarding emergency exits etc.
Very low beam in bedroom made moving around difficult
Third flight of stairs to attic apartment very steep and narrow
- Anne (7/5): Good location but not good value for money. - It was close to Whitby Pavilion, and easy to walk to. Neither of the televisions worked. There was one remote for both. I contacted the host, who said he was in Spain. He suggested buying new batteries, as he wouldn't be able to get anyone to bring any until the following day. We did, and these didn't solve the issue. Also, there was no cafetiere for us to use. At £150 per night, we didn't feel it was value for money. The same apartment was over £100 cheaper for the same period the following weekend. It's only asset was it's close proximity to the pavilion.
- Helen (10/5): Brilliant mini break to Whitby Steampunk festival. - Great location, lovely view, nice comfortable apartment. Lovely views from the living room. Local landlord who responded really quickly to a question I had about when I would get the key code to access the lockbox for the keys. I hadnt used booking.com before so I didnt know it was normal to only get sent that info just before your stay. Didnt bother us, but it would not be suitable for anyone not able to manage three flights of stairs. But Whitby really isnt a place to visit if you cant handle walking uphill easily.
- Greg (5/5): Nice clean apartment in a good location. - Ideal location for access to main attractions. The apartment was clean and well presented. Parking is an issue and had to locate an overnight public car park for the car.
The apartment is in the attic of a three storey terraced house with some steep stairs to negotiate with suitcases!
As it was in the attic you need to be aware of the roof beams whilst moving around.
The outside view of the property is off putting as the lower floor windows look a bit scruffy as if some one dodgy characters live in there.
- Giddings (8/5): Very good -
- Elisabetta (8/5): Felt like home - It looks really nice, especially the living room, and we slept very well The shower could have a bit more pressure, a bit overpriced and not enough storage & coffee
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parker (8/5): Very good -
- Nathan (8/5): Beautiful cosy get away not far from anywhere at all would definitely stay again - It was very close to town nice cosy place everything you needed was there for the weekend very nice layout as well The bed wasn’t the best but maybe that’s because you like your own bed the shower isn’t the best for the pressure more of a trickle out type
- Casper (8/5): Stylish stay in pleasant and convenient location - Stylish interior and utensils. Clever layout of the space doesn't make it feel small. Private this high up in the dwelling, rewarded by lovely views while seated at the breakfast bar. Stunning street to walk 'home' into after a stroll in Whitby or another activity further away. Easy to park nearby, free of charge in late autumn, winter and early spring.
- Kirsty (7/5): Nice stay and good location - Good facilities , comfy bed , nice bathroom Drip near television the living room , damp around window
- Hifsa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Herbert (8/5): A relaxing time in a very nice location. Lovely clean accommodation. - No breakfast as it is self-catering Stooping around so I didn't bang my head against the beams. It happened once and I was stooping...
- Wilson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Becky (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (9/5): Lovely places to stay, easy to access and peaceful - Lovely properly which was peaceful and clean. Easy to use tv and login to our own netflix without any hassle. Lovely big towels provided. Great facilities to cook your own food and meals if necessary. Really enjoyed our stay, would use again The shower is fine but it’s electric and not the most powerful. Not terrible by any means though
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and tidy. Short walk into the town A little warning about how many flights of stairs. I've got bad knees and broke my ankle last year so was quite a lot for me. A brief paragraph that it is in the roof top floor of a town house. Parking is a nightmare but that's not the hosts fault
- Edwina (7/5): Modern apartment, well equipped, but too much of a climb to get to it for us. - Modern and close to town Fire safety! Top floor apartment, fifty stairs up and could not see any access to exit in case of fire.
Stained carpet on the stairways.
- Izzy (3/5): Poor -
- Sam (8/5): Can’t go wrong for Whitby - If you don’t mind the rather steep steps to the apartment, or the low beams - you’ll love it. Well equipped and a great location. The windows might need an upgrade, they don’t keep the sound of seagulls out too well.
- Paul (7/5): Good - Good amenities, location. Price. Look of the outside, old filthy net curtains hanging up, parking not available.
- Philip (9/5): Superb - Apartment was lovely and clean. All the stuff that was needed Low beams
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional -
