• Mitchell (10/5): Beautiful cottage, a home from home - Beautiful homely cottage with stunning views. Gary was great to deal with and very helpful and polite. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Lovely welcome pack and an extra treat of a beer pump with leffe beer. Will definitely stay again.

• Stuart (10/5): The WOW factor is an understatement for this epic house! - Everything! Location and communication with the owner was perfect. The house itself was astounding and every need was looked after. The beds were so comfortable, the living room was so welcoming it was unbelievable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more supplied. The back garden, even on the first few days of January was so amazing I actually sat outside 2 days in a row in 0 degrees to have a cuppa and take it all in. The WiFi was strong throughout the house. The under floor heating was astounding and even the neighbours were lovely when we bumped into them after a walk. The nearby village of Lochmaben is literally a 5mins drive away or a pleasant 20minute toddle if you fancy a visit to a really welcoming couple of bars! If not they had a wee draft beer pump in the kitchen which ticked the boxes. Cannot wait to return. We have waited 2 days to write this review to try and remember everything, but there’s probably a dozen more things we’ve forgotten that made this place epic! We had to leave it!

• Andrea (10/5): Perfect - From the moment we drove into the courtyard we felt at home. A warm welcome, beautifully furnished rooms with delightful touches throughout. This property is a real gem, one not to miss! Our visit was far too short.
• Alexandra (10/5): Absolute Gem - Loved staying here immensely!! Everything you could need is provided by the host and then some. Even a welcome pack that was so thoughtful. The decor is fab, little touches that make it homely (mood lamps, fairy lights, lava lamp, speaker, games, books, fresh flowers). It was absolutely spotlessly clean and such a peaceful place to relax and watch the wildlife and cows in the enclosed garden. Perfect Stay! We loved everything! Nothing to dislike at all.

Wonderful facilities with both rooms having ensuites. Large living areas and kitchen with lots of condiments and coffee machine with pods. Lovely paddock and views out back with outdoor area. Could benefit from a clothes dryer for the wet days. Wish we could stay longer... but our trip had to move on. We would come back again.

Everything we needed was there, and all the delicious "treats" were greatly appreciated 😋 . We loved the fairy lights - indoors and out - and the garden was lovely to relax in. We can't fault it. We didn't like leaving !!

Very generous host with lovely welcome pack of goodies. Beds really comfy. It has everything you need and the host is fantastic. There is nothing I did not like. I cannot find one single fault or issue or concern. We love it there and will most definitely be back for a 3rd time!

• Kayleigh (10/5): Home from Home - We had a lovely time at Courtyard Cottage which has absolutely everything there you could ever need or want, a complete home from home for all ages. My 6 year old son said he wanted to move there he loved it so much. Unfortunately my husband became unwell just before our stay so we had to leave a little early for a hospital appointment and in our haste left behind some items which the host very kindly sent back to us which was most appreciated. We will definitely return. Nothing at all.

Unfortunatly the dishwasher didn't worked so it was old fashioned with the hand. Really nice to relax and we even did use the BBQ. the dishwasher was broke, with a family you don't want that.

• Nicola (10/5): Gorgeous cosy cottage, very special. - The owner sent messages with tons of information and was so easy to contact, making sure that we all settled in and had a lovely time. The cottage was easy to find and we were greeted with a gorgeous welcome basket. The cottage was so cosy and well looked after and the attention to detail was really special. Everything you needed was provided. We were all ready to move in! The beds were so comfy, the showers were amazing, the smart tvs had all the apps we needed and it was toasty warm (we went when there was a weather warning and felt safe). The garden is lovely, it's SO peaceful and quiet. The welcome book had all the info you need, WiFi passwords and local walks etc. Basically we didn't want to leave. We WILL be back. The owners have something really special here. Nothing.

• David (10/5): This "Courtyard Cottage" is where you want to stay if you want space and comfort of home. - The Hospitality of the Host was fantastic. Everything was clean and ready for us. The home is very well stocked with normal day to day items that travelers need. The champagne and snacks were very appreciated as was the glass of local Draft beer. The house decor was excellent and just made us feel at home immediately upon arrival. The kids also enjoyed the back yard views with the cattle! Can't really say we disliked anything about the "cottage".

The bed was so comfortable shower amazing, the view spectacular and the extra touches by Gary were extremely unexpected and thoughtful. Communication with the host was first class aswell. Gary has thought of everything which made us feel very welcome.
• Jakubek (10/5): A phenomenal stay - Everything was absolutely superb from start to finish. Gary was a phenomenal host, he kept in touch and always promptly answered any questions we had. We also asked whether we could check in a bit earlier and Gary was also able to accommodate this. The house itself blew us away. It was spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated. A cold bottle of prosecco was waiting for us upon arrival, as well as a basket of Easter eggs for the kids, various other snacks like crisps and nuts. We also enjoyed a free beer on tap. 😊 The cupboards had some toys and games in for the kids to play with which they took advantage of. There was an outside area with seating and a firepit and BBQ and we enjoyed a BBQ outside. I could not recommend this house highly enough, it's in a quiet, rural location so perfect for unwinding and relaxing. I want to say a huge thanks to Gary for ensuring we had a faultless experience from start to finish. I can't fault anything - everything was fantastic! It was beyond what I expected and we will be returning at some point for sure.
