Guest Reviews
- Craig (6/5): - Price, location Cleanliness, cramped bathroom
- Kabelo (10/5): -
- Yi Heng (10/5): -
- Anna (6/5): Does the job - Simplicity No elevator - which is tricky with heavy luggage
- Jolene (10/5): Great location, comfort and value - The lady staff at the counter spoke good English and helped us to communicate with our bus to get back out helmets that we accidentally left on the bus. The staff also helped us to call for a taxi when we checked out.
Clean and comfortable with everything that you need. Glad to have a sink and mirror in the room so only needed to go out for a bath and toilet.
Breakfast was decent with homemade yoghurt and fresh fruit, bread, cereal and some hot and cold food.
Futons were comfortable.
Short walk from the gondola and Hirafu welcome centre. Nothing.
- Elliott (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - Really friendly staff, local Japanese place with lots of charm and character. Really consistent hot water.
- WEI HUNG (8/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): lovely staff, close to ultimate position! clean, value and no frills. great breakfast! - Location!
- Hwee Ling Sally (10/5): Aewsome -
- Beka (10/5): Not enough words to describe how much we loved it! Thank you! - The lodge is no frills, but it's still an amazing "homey" Japan feel. We had the Japan room with futons on tatami mats which is how we sleep at home usually, so we slept very comfortably. We opted for the shared bath, which was great bc there's a huge tub full of hot water you can use after you shower yourself (if you're not familiar/comfortable with Asian bathhouses, this may not be for you). Our room had a closet to store our luggage and sink so we could wash/brush our teeth in the morning. There are ski lockers on the main floor to store your equipment.
Breakfast every day was amazing; it's a Japanese (with some western food) buffet. We learned the hotel is named after their potato farm and the potatoes they serve are from that farm!
The staff was also amazing; we were able to communicate with them via email about our arrival time and they stayed up for us to get in (our flight was delayed by 2 hours, so we weren't be able to make the check in time by 8PM; we got there a little past 10PM). They were incredibly accommodating and still hospitable when we arrived!
One of the best thing about this place is the location! Quick walk (albeit uphill) to the lift, like 5 min. It's also next to Arabica coffee stand, Sapporo Drug Store, ramen shop, souvenir shops just down the block. You're also close to Seicomart and other places in the village! It's a great location, it really cannot be beat!
When we come back to Niseko, would definitely stay here again!
Thank you again for such an amazing time Lodge Koropokkuru! Nothing, it was perfect
- JOOHYUN (10/5): -
- Ailin (10/5): - Coming back here for 2nd time, love the dinner! The staffs are very nice, helpful and friendly. Room is very clean, enjoy the onsen every night. Very well maintained lodge with a lot of thoughts put in for better operation by the staffs.
- Adrian (10/5): Brilliant and the hosts are such wonderful people. - What can I say! The place was fantastic. Breakfast was great, location was great, the hosts were exceptional. Took my 18yr old daughter and 14 yr old son there to ski and that's what we did from a great spot. Easy enough 400m walk to the Family Quad Chair (downhill) and 400m walk to Hirafu Base Gondala (uphill). I passed on the uphill part. Nothing. Excellent spot.
- Uhalde (10/5): -
- ANIRUT (10/5): -
- Deanne (9/5): - Great location. Friendly staff with a good breakfast. Onsen was great after a days skiing.. Room comfortable and warm. Great ski room with easy access.
- Nutcha (10/5): -
- Jia (8/5): - Yes Goog
- Winnie (10/5): Perfect family run lodge for our ski trip! - This lodge was perfect for our family ski trip! Family run which makes it a special touch, and it had everything we needed. We had one person in our group that wasn't skiing and the hotel was super comfortable to spend the whole day. We had a japanese style room, but there was a front lobby room where you could hang out and watch TV. They had stuff you could purchase like lattes, soft serve, curry for lunch, beers, etc. which was ideal! Walking to the base of Grand Hirafu was about 10 minutes and made for a super easy ski trip. There was a ski locker room as well to lock up your belongings! Not really a con, but the onsen/public bathing is gender separated so not as useful for a family trip but thats how traditionally they are!
- Stacy (10/5): - Location, staff, facilities. Everything was great, 100% recommend
- Zac (10/5): - Breakfast was incredible
- Benjamin (7/5): - Close to the ski slopes
- Jerifaye (9/5): Would recommend this for travelers on a budget - Best breakfast, big room, clean Could use more amenities/toiletries such as a body towel which most other Japanese hotels provide
- Benedikt (9/5): - Location is good and a short walk to the main gondola. Breakfast has good variety and is go good quality. Laundry machines and dryers available to wash your clothes. You can also have dinner there which was good and fairly priced to some of the other restaurants in town. Walls are a bit thin and you can hear people from neighbouring rooms. Overall, not a big issue though.
- YoungSug (10/5): - 1.
- Julia (10/5): Absolutely wonderful, would stay here again and again! - Fantastic location (super walkable to the main Hirafu gondola and lots of great restaurants), the most helpful and nicest staff, great breakfast, comfy futons (which was a pleasant surprise!), and private bathroom. Overall the perfect place for access to Grand Hirafu! N/A
- Youri (10/5): The perfect place for snow hungry visitors - All the staff was very kind and helpful when it came to helping book taxis and plan outings.
The breakfast and location were amazing to go have good ski days and the comfortable bed and bedsheets allowed a good rest.

- Simon (10/5): An amazing ski lodge runs by an impressive team with heart - Amazing breakfast. Very helpful and friendly services from all team members in the lodge. The lodge is well maintained and spotless clean. Overall a very lovely & comfy stay. My kids love the tatami & the comforter which made us sleep well every nights. Always feel like home after a cold day out skiing. Prime location.
I used to run a hostel & have traveled to different ski lodges (mainly in Canada), can say this team is doing excellent works running the place. My heartfelt thanks to their impressive teamwork.
Highly recommend to anyone considering to book !!

- Mukai (9/5): Cozy and convenient - Nice staff, really fluent in English.
The public spaces are relaxing and comfortable.
Can have really minimum clothes due to laundry room. Overall it was really cozy, just like staying at home Nope
- David (10/5): Good place to stay at Hirafu - Location near to ski slopes, restaurant and convenience store. Room is clean. They have hot springs in the hotel where everyone will bath. The lady at reception is always smiling and makes my day . My room face the ski slopes. Will be good if they have private bathrooms for those not use to onsen bathing.
- Ailin (10/5): Pleasant stay - Very clean, delicious home cooked dinner Breakfast can have more options
- Mark (10/5): I will definitely recommend to friends! 🙂 - Location from lift (450 m);
Location from restaurants;
Staff;
Room (just like the photos);
Having a public bath;
Convenience store right on the corner;
Nice breakfast;

- Rebecca (9/5): - Fabulous stay at this wonderful lodge. The staff are incredibly attentive. Breakfast was fantastic, location perfect. They have delicious ice cream. Nothing - I would visit again.
- James (10/5): An authentic gem in an otherwise touristy town - This property is an absolute gem because of Aya and her wonderful caring team. They absolutely went out of their way to give us a wonderful stay (with some lovely touches as it was our honeymoon). She is the most helpful and friendly host. Nothing!
- Ting chu (10/5):
- Chris (10/5): Great accommodation in super convenient location - Great accommodation in excellent location. Right in the centre of Niseko Hirafu town easy walk to the Ace gondola and dinner options, with a convenience store right next door. Lovely attentive staff and great breakfast.
- Aston (8/5): -
- CHI PUN (8/5): Great stay and would recommend to others - Location is very convenient, literally a few minutes walk from everything. It is a family run lodge and they are very helpful, e.g. I managed to check in early upon arrival, as the room is ready. This is not easily available in Japan. The facility is simple and basic, but have to say it's maintained well and functional. One thing for sure can be upgraded would be the TV in the room. But guess many wouldn't mind as many would be spending most of the time on the slopes.
- Xing (8/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): Perfect, cosy accommodation so close to the ski slopes, most comfortable futons, and lovely staff looking after us. Coul - Such a cosy, clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay in the heart of Niseko! It was my first time in Japan, and I felt so looked after here. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and made our stay so wonderful. It was perfect for a ski holiday! Nothing! :)
- Alvin (7/5): great value for Grand Hirafu / Niseko. the staff and owners were amazing. the bfast was great too!! - location and breakfast pretty basic. pillows very uncomfortable
- Paweł (10/5): Excellent!!! - Everything was great! Hospitality , helpful staff, facilities!
It’s so close to Grand Hirafu lifts. 5 minutes walk.
And… breakfast and dinner. Just delicious!
All this things made our stay excellent! It was a real pleasure!!
Thank You!!

- Jasmine (10/5): -
- Ching Yee (10/5): - great location, clean room, helpful staff. probably the best deal you can find in Niseko!
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Adlina (9/5): Perfect location, good rooms - Amazing location (right next to a supermarket / pharmacy, arabica coffee, and the famous ramen store). 5 min walk to the bus stop. The room was nice (a lot of closet space so we unpacked all our clothes into the closet and kept our suitcases beneath the bed to maximize floor space), breakfast wasn’t bad too although we wish it would go till after 830am but that’s an us problem 😅 staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, would always go above and beyond and for that we would happily return here for our next ski trip and will recommend this property to anyone! Wish breakfast could be longer than 7am - 830am
- Weng Onn (8/5): -
- June (10/5): Good Location - It was in the centre of the resort close to all bars and restaurants The staff were very helpful when booking in Plus we were able to park directly outside the property We would stay again at this property Shared bathroom/toilets Although there was plenty of them and spotlessly clean
- Rachelle (10/5): Affordable stay with friendly staff - Location, friendly staff
- Heather (10/5): Perfect Japanese owned ski lodge in the heart of hirafu! - Friendliest family owned lodge we stayed at in all of Japan! Great location, very helpful people at the desk, fabulous location in the heart of hirafu. The onsen room was great for 2 of us. Breakfast was spot on. I’d choose Korropokku anytime I come back. Not much, futons could be a little comfier. If you aren’t into public bathing then you’ll have no way to shower/bathe (my son isn’t a fan of onsens, I am!)
- Dang Anh (8/5): -
- Jane (10/5): The most comfortable low key inn - Amazing, accommodating, and helpful staff. Lovely public bath with very few guests even during a holiday weekend. The most delicious breakfast with high quality ingredients. The staff take care of every detail. The most comfortable futons. We will definitely be staying again. Only 3 min walk from the ace gondola.
- MingHsun (10/5): -
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Bryan (9/5): Didn't end up sleeping here but the staff were very friendly and helpful! - I ended up not staying here, but the staff was very nice. I left my snowboard here for a week since I had to leave Niseko, and came back to pick it up on check-in.
- Yitian (10/5): -
- Casaus (10/5): I want come back - I love this Hostel ❣️ and the secretary 👩💼 also , everything was perfect and magic in Niseko
- Megan (10/5): Fabulous location that's walking distance from the ski lifts. Excellent value, I'd stay again! - The property is so close to the ski lifts, about a 7 minute walk uphill to the base of Hirafu. You could take a shuttle but I liked the freedom of coming and going to the ski resort without waiting on a bus. The room was cozy and it came with a robe and slippers and I especially liked being able to use the Fridge at the end of the hall and the laundry facilities near reception. I was honestly shocked at how nice the accommodations were for the price, it was a really nice, quite and clean hotel that was very close to the ski hill. I really wanted to try dinner at the hotel but I kept forgetting to reserve it... it would be better if you could make dinner reservations by 3pm instead of 10am.
- Jacob (10/5): I felt like home - The staff was amazing Nothing
- Sharon (10/5): - This was my second time staying at Koropokkuru lodge and the facilities are even better than before. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is excellent - near Hirafu Welcome Centre, the ski lifts and convenience stores. . Plus, the couple who own the place are very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Niseko, provided they are not already fully booked! :) Nothing
- Badin (10/5): - Clean and near Hirafu Base
