• Asanda (10/5): We had such a phenomenal stay. The fire place was my absolute favorite part of it. - Secluded and quiet. Great for a weekend away when you need time away from the busyness of life. Little to no network but I expected it.
• Wilma (9/5): Peaceful,authentic cottage in the highveld - We loved the tranquillity and the cottage, very authentic,spacious and comfortable! The birds around were wonderful and all other animals roaming around as well! We will definitely visit again!😊🙏 A few things to consider, 2 things that might bother others; the road was quite bad but for us with a 4x4 bakkie it was ok. There is no WiFi but the signal is good enough!
• Du Plessis (10/5): If you want to get peace and quiet, the this is highly recommended - This place is stunning, the only issue is the road. If it rains you can't use a normal car to get there The road to the place, it is very bad during summer rains
• Jean-Luc Edouard (10/5): Stratheold Cottages: de plek is zo prachtig dat je er zeker terug wilt komen! - De vallei waarin de Strathwold Cottages liggen, is een oase van groen en rust! We waren verrast door de nabijheid en de diversiteit van de dieren rondom het huisje waar we verbleven. Maar we waren nog meer verrast door de comfortabele en knusse indeling van het huisje en door de prachtige open haard, waarin het heerlijk was om een ​​vuurtje te stoken met het brandhout dat zo vriendelijk was verstrekt! De enige opmerking betreft de toegangsweg, die enkele kilometers lang is en bij regenachtig weer de nodige behendigheid vereist van een bestuurder die met een kleine SUV arriveert!

• nkosilathi (9/5): this a great getaway spot to reenergize. staff was friendly and accomodating. - Location is great, serene and refreshing. went to a great hike 30mins away. not to far away from Joburg. to be highly critical the shower head needs to change.
• Tal (10/5): Hidden Gem - Every single thing. 4 nights even seemed short. Cant wait to go back. Staff amazing especially Arnold, he is friendly and very attentive. Response time was quite slow On arrival we had to wait by the gate for about 15mins.
• Manana (10/5): December holiday 28th 2025 - 7 Jan 2026 - The staff is really amazing , friendly, professional, client centric, has Ubuntu. Shout out to Arnold,Ma Monica and her cleaning colleagues they are amazing people and made our stay feel like literally our home away from home. Place is super clean , from the kitchen , bathrooms, bedrooms and seating room. To the outside couches in patio no dust it's so clean!!!! I loved the rustic wooden interior furniture, the interior decor and design is something out of this world. When you step in that stone cottage you automatically switch into holiday relaxation mode. I loved the wooden fired jacuzzi outside. We enjoyed it so much with my wife surrounded by nature , animals and trees. I loved seeing wild animals grazing close by the stone cottage early in the morning and late in the afternoon from 5pm. We went hiking up the maintains overlooking the stone cottage on the opposite side ... WOW it was the most amazing experience going up the mountains,seeing animals and the qute giraffe would stop and look at us 5m away from us ..that was a nice feeling. When on the mountain peak the views are like paradise it's all tranquility. We enjoyed having our braais late at night by the patio. We bought meat from Machado slaghuis close by the post office at town. They have the freshest and succulent meats , their service is also great. My wife and I loved watching DVD movies late at night , we loved the old school movies from the 80's very nostalgic. Please just include Mr Bones, Leon Schuster, Zulu on my stoep movies too. Thank you Arnold for always loading wood every morning. Guys you don't need WiFi when around here just enjoy the scenery and peace with nature. We loved the canoeing by the lake it was very nice too, just out chairs on the little boat lol...the place has all kitchen utensils you need to basically do anything you can do at your own house just bring your own food ... stock up on breakfast, lunch and supper that's it.... beautiful beautiful gem .... Nothing

• Christoph (10/5): Cannot imagine something better. Great place in outstanding natural surrounding - The location, the friendliness of Mr. Yuri and his team and the general surrounding were gerat. We liked it so much, that we change our plans to stay an additional night and will come for sure again everything was perfect, especially the lake, the Giraffe and Mr. Yuris support

• Brian (9/5): Great place, I recommend using a high car though especially in rainy weather - Great stay with amazing views The long road leading up to the property is gravel, and we were only made aware of this once we had already booked. It had been raining badly, as a result the mud on the road was a nightmare and we basically got stuck in the mud with the car.

No words can describe the luxury of this place. Just perfect. The host/hostess really thought about everything 🌹

• venter (10/5): - This place was amazing with the most spectacular view. From entering the property you could tell the place was well looked after with care and love. The house was beautiful and neat. The bathroom is massive and loved the soft towel. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wish we could have stayed for more than 1 night. It was peaceful and beautiful with some game walking around on the property, we had a squirrel visit us at the house as well. The house was also stocked with all cleaning chemicals for your comfort. I would visit again, it was magical I would recommend adding a aircon to the rooms
