Guest Reviews
- Ingrid (9/5): - The perfect stay!! Location & view is amazing. Perfect for a couple or friends. Host was helpful and answered quickly to any questions.
- Léna (8/5): - -Propre
-Literie confortable.
- Monica (8/5): - Nice, clean and cozy, the terrace has a beautiful view of the old town. Parking is on the street if you get lucky to find a spot. Prepare yourselves for a lot of stairs.
- Zelhen (6/5): Pleasant - It was a clean property. It was not far from old town. There was a very lovely terrace which has Old town view & sea. Thanks to the owner. We had to descend 350 steps to get to the old city from where we were staying, and climb 350 steps to return. So if it doesn’t sound you good, it would not be a good location for you.
- Daryl (7/5): Good to stay value of money - Location though its really hike Some of the appliances where broken but manageable
- Kasar (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Josip (5/5): Passable -
- Kasia (9/5): Stunning view! - The view is incredible! Sitting on the terrace is so special - worth all the 350 steps up from the old city. The host was super lovely - we arrived late and she waited up for us. There were no quilts just blankets and a sheet so it was a bit cold in October.
- Gavin (5/5): Disappointed and worst accommodation of our holiday!! - The location was good!
Just was difficult with luggage as there was over 500 steps! The room was very small with no view! The bathroom was horrible! Grouting between tiles was dirty, no hook for shower and difficult to shower holding shower and washing at the same time! Shower leaks! Kitchen - kettle on draining board, and this could be dangerous! Hole in the wall next to the bed! Everything old and not matching! No bedside lights! Bed just fits in gap - no space! Bedding too small for bed! Can’t leave windows open! Lots of mosquitoes! We were told in advertisement there is a viewing deck and Owners Mother wasn’t very friendly and when we ask
she was not wanting us to use the deck! She did help us but she wasn’t very nice!
- Derek (7/5): Very good. - Although small and compact it was comfortable enough for our stay. Bit of a hike up the stairs from town but Dubrovnik mostly everywhere like this. Just get a cab.
- David (8/5): Very nice stay - The views from the terrace The fridge in the room was very loud
- Thea (5/5): Only good view, not suitable for someone not fit or with knee / leg problems beware very rude host - The view only The location was very badly explained the street was inaacessible by foot it was never mentioned that we had to take more than 500 stairs and climb a wall. When i called them the host was not available to pick us up apparently they work with an agency who troed to help after 30 mins by sending me google maps links that didnt make sense in the end she told me to go back down all the steps to take an uber and figure it out.
The bed is very small for two, there were no sheets only one small sheet. The bathroom and the apartment were dirty. There were broken plugs ehich was very dangerous
- Joel (3/5): Poor - Apartment was mostly clean and had good view out over the Old Town and Dubrovnik area. Property manager didn’t take payment through Booking.com and then tried to make me pay through a seperate link which made me uncomfortable and seemed really weird as I’ve never had an issue paying through Booking.com. I ended up paying cash to the owner who was quite abrupt and not the most friendly.
Apartment is also up around 300 stairs from the main part of town which becomes quite annoying at the end of each day. Apartment is also not very quiet and curtains don’t block out light coming in from outside at night. Kitchen and room are quite dated and worn.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- 振輝 (9/5): A memorable stay - Great Balcony view to overlook the old town and coast. Excellent location to access to old town and beach. You could park in apartment and walk to sites. WiFi link is weak. Not always connected. It's quite bother to traveller.
- Beatriz (2/5): Stay away - Spacious room.
Kitchen utensils and equipment were OK.
I would suggest to get some nightstands. During our stay there were some commodities missing that should have been in the apartment (as advertised), namely, the TV, hygiene and cleaning products.
The air conditioner didn't work, having 24°C or 18°C was exactly the same. Also, the room has poor ventilation since it is located in a very hidden spot.
The kitchenette countertop was very unstable and it looked like it was attached with scotch tape.
By the time we checked-in we noticed that no cleaning or sanitize service was made in the apartment (which can be proven by the photos attached). In addition to this, the bed sheets still had hairs and some stains.
The hair dryer didn't work properly. The towels were very small for an average size person.
In the bathroom there is no place to hang towels nor the toilet paper.
Overall, the apartment also has a poor sound insulation, from the walls to the windows.
Most of the electrical outlets were damaged too, plus there's an electric cable hanging above the bathroom door.
The apartment has a glass door with no blackout curtains which results in awaking up at 6am in case you successfully fallen asleep despite the LED light that comes through the door all night.
Regarding the room location, it is located quite near to the old town and a couple of beaches however the access has to be done by between 400 or 500 steps (which isn't mentioned in the advertise).
Futhermore, if you need to get to the apartment by car, the address you need to include is different from the one you get from the advertise. This happens because the address mentioned in the advertise is a street of stairs, although nearer to the old town. On the other hand, the address to get there by car is further from the old town. Not a great location for someone with heart conditions, poor mobility or breathing problems, such as asthma.
All the information described above can be verified in the photos attached.
- Miriam (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - The view was amazing. Very clean apartment. The host was very east to work with.
- Aidan (5/5): Passable -
- Tracy (9/5): Superb - Great host, location, and it was clean.
- Leo (4/5): Close to the old town but room for improvement - Proximity to the old town and airport shuttle, plus a lovely view from the terrace. It is worth noting that there are many steps to reach this view - not a problem for us, but may be useful information for others. The standard of accommodation was basic. We would recommend to the host to provide a hairdryer, bedside lights, curtains, TV and hooks to hang clothes in the bathroom, as well as larger/thicker towels.
Outside lighting flooded the apartment, which made it hard to sleep (although there were shutters for the windows, the door was largely glass and without a curtain or shutter). We would recommend that guests pack an eye mask to avoid this issue. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was no duvet provided - only a sheet and blanket. The apartment also smelled strongly of cigarettes, so would benefit from being aired more.
- Pattanan (9/5): Superb - Everything is good, close to the old town and cable car station. The host is very helpful and fast responds. There are too many steps, but there is nothing wrong with this place.
- Kumar (8/5): Value for money! - The location of the apartment is truly remarkable. From the terrace, one can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Old Town and the sea. (For your information, we stayed in the studio apartment located in the basement, which did not offer a direct view from the room. However, there was a shared terrace where guests could relish the magnificent scenery. To reach the Old Town, one needs to descend approximately 400 steps down the hill, which provides an opportunity for some good exercise during the trip. :)
The room itself was pleasant and equipped with basic amenities. The hosts were very polite and helpful. :) Here are a few suggestions for improving the room:
- It would be helpful to have a hook in the bedroom and bathroom to hang clothes.
- Additionally, it would be great if you could provide body wash, as this is a common amenity provided by hosts in many countries.
Thank you for your consideration!
- Ciara (9/5): Superb -
- Marsela (9/5): Superb - Exellent location
Amazing view The tv doesnt work
- Matias (7/5): Good - Close to the center. The room supposedly had a terrace with a view of the city, at least that was seen in the photos of the option we chose. But when we arrived the room had no terrace and no view of the city. The only terrace was on top of the building which was a common space. The wifi signal in the room did not reach well.
- Martina (10/5): Lovely studio apartment - The location of this studio apartment is very close to the old town of Dubrovnik. Generally clean and tidy self catering studio. We asked if it was possible to leave our luggage before the check-in time, and that was fine, so that was also nice because we could use the time to sightsee. Wonderful stay, we felt like home.
- Pavo (10/5): Perfect - The view from the balcony of this apartment was magnificent, as foe the host, he was very kind and accommodating, which deserves all tge praise. The apartment was cleanabd nicely decorated. We enjoyed our stay in every aspects.
- Nina (10/5): Superb location in Dubrovnik - The view was really amazing! We enjoyed watching the Old Town from the terrace. It was also great to use the shared upper terrace which has an incredible view. We will definitely come back and stay here on our next visit to Dubrovnik. The host was kind and very helpful.
