When I arrived to check in, the employee was talking to an (American) guest infront of me about “all of the problems with American tourists”. Then I asked her to check in & she said she couldn’t help me and walked away.. However, the next employee was very sweet and helpful.

• Béa (8/5): Fijne uitvalsbasis. - Het huis heeft een prachtig uitzicht. De keuken deel je met alle gebruikers. De voorzieningen zijn dan amper voldoende. Denk aan fornuis en vaatwasser. Ook weinig keukendoeken en afwasborstel is er niet.
• Nicolien (6/5): - Het is schoon en er is een vaatwasser in de keuken. Vriendelijke ontvangst. De familiekamer op de zolder is opgesplitst in een slaapkamer met tweepersoonsbed, die een deur heeft en op slot kan en tweemaal slaapbank in de ruimte ervoor waar geen deur zit. Een andere gast liep gewoon de trap op deze ruimte in. Ook hoor je direct alle geluiden vanuit de keuken en kwamen ook de etensluchten omhoog. Mijn dochter kon niet slapen door het harde gepraat en de vislucht (iemand ging vis bakken). Wij vinden dit niet echt veilig en zouden het ook niet aanraden voor families met kleine kinderen. In de eetzaal was de hele stekkerdoos van de wand waardoor je direct contact zou kunnen hebben met de draden. Ook waren allebei onze rookmelders op qua batterij. De keuken is klein voor het aantal gasten, maar een fornuis.

• AYOUNG (7/5): - 2박했는데, 첫날에는 다른 숙박객이 없고 게스트하우스가 완전히 청소된 상태라 좋았어요. 3층짜리 숙소인데 4인룸은 3층이라 좁고 빙글빙글 도는 계단을 캐리어 들고 오르내려야 합니다. 3층은 별도 문으로 구분되어 있지 않고(안쪽 방 하나만 문이 있고 거실에 침대가 2개 더 있음) 2층에서 3층으로 통하는 계단은 낮은 칸막이가 하나 있기는 하지만 성인이라면 충분히 넘어 올 수 있는 구조라 안전한 느낌이 들지 않았습니다. 또한 그냥 열려 있는 구조라 2층 숙박객들이 늦은 밤, 이른 아침에 거실/조리장소에서 요리하고 크게 말하는 소리, 음식 냄새가 다 그대로 전달되어 푹 쉬지 못했습니다. 2박째 아침에 이미 쓰레기통이 가득 찼지만 공용 공간을 따로 청소하는 것 같지 않았고, 부킹닷컴 메시지를 두 번 보냈지만 체크아웃까지 응답이 전혀 없었습니다(체크인 전에는 연락 잘 됨). 주인분이 다른 직업이 있는 것 같고 게스트하우스가 면밀히 관리되는 느낌은 아니었어요.

• Jeni (10/5): Perfect location, friendly hosts, modern clean house, large kitchen and bathrooms - Great location in cute little village, friendly and welcoming hosts who met me at their local coffee shop and took me to the house to check in. Lovely big kitchen with all the amenities, everything is well thought out to cook in the evenings/mornings! Amazing views from the windows of the dining area, everywhere was warm, the bathrooms were all clean and modern. My room was a small single downstairs and it was very warm and close to the shared bathrooms! Would definitely recommend to others if you want a relaxed stay to be able to do your own thing! The other guests I was sharing with were very noisy upstairs in the room right above mine so that kept me awake overnight but that is nothing to do with the hosts! Overall I accept these small issues when choosing to stay in a shared guesthouse!

On s'est retrouvés avec 2 chambres tres éloignées alors que nos enfants sont assez jeunes. 2eme chose : 2 chambres sont collées à la pièce commune de repas. Très bruyant le soir et le matin ! Évidemment nous avions l'une d'elle. La cuisine mériterait de renflouer son équipement.

Very quiet at night. Close to the Settlement Museum - THE place to visit in Borgarnes. 2 little things - the kettle that you had to hold down the switch on to get it to boil, and there was no sign outside, so had to confirm I was at the right place by using the photos on Booking.com.

• Noémie (10/5): Trés chouette séjour - Superbe nuitée pour 4 Personnes : l'étage supérieur était en qq sorte privatisé: 2 personnes ont formi sur de grands canapés lits et 2 dans un grand lit double dans une chambre séparée avec WC. Le seul petit inconvénient est qu'il n'y a qu'un rideau qui sépare la mezzanine du reste de la maison, donc peu de frontière phonique et visuelle (lumière du corridor et escalier). Comme le lieu est self check in plusieurs personnes sont montées en cherchant leur propre chambre alors que nous étions couchés. Sinon la maison est super avec une vue magnifique !

• Veronica (10/5): Hidden gem in Borgarnes - A hidden gem that by far exceeded my expectations. The rooms on the first two floors share three bathrooms (two on the ground floor, one on the upper floor) and a kitchen / dining area on the upper floor. Though the house was quite full during my stay, it was easy to prepare dinner, there was plenty of fridge space, and I never waited for a bathroom. Check in and check out were fast and easy, everything was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were many thoughtful touches throughout such as a mirror in the room, an outlet easily accessible from the nightstand, and an extra drink prep area with complimentary coffee and tea by the main entrance. The location is a short walk to the Settlement Center and Borgarnes Museum, in a quiet neighborhood with easy street parking in front of the house.

All’interno della camera c’era solamente il wc ed un lavandino, i bagni con doccia erano disponibili ai piani sotto ed erano in comune con gli altri ospiti.

Great value for money, and as a single traveller I am always happy to come across a single room. The room was a decent size and very comfortable. Shared bathrooms were fantastic, very roomy with great showers. The common kitchen was well equipped and spacious. One of my top accommodation choices in Iceland. Only negative was getting check in instructions very late. This involved ringing a number a the cafe down the road to get someone to check us in. Not great when you have a data only SIM. Thankfully, another customer arrived at the same time who rang the person who was to check us in. I didn't even see the instructions until afterwards.

• Manfred (8/5): - Sehr sauber, wunderbarer Ausblick, supertolle Einrichtung, 3 shared Badezimmer. Für jedes Zimmer sind eigene reservierte Fächer in den Kühlschränken vorbereitet, echt genial. Wir hatten das Zimmer gleich neben dem Esszimmer. Es war sehr klein und hatten absolut keinen Stauraum bzw Kästen. Wir lebten nur aus den Koffern. Die einzige Ablage waren die Fensterbretter. Die Abflüsse waren teilweise verstopft, wurde aber sofort nach Reklamation behoben.
• IRENE (7/5): - La camera familiare è molto spaziosa e composta da un intero piano. La vista sul mare è molto bella. La cucina è davvero ben fornita. Molto cordiali i membri dello staff e delizioso il loro negozio/caffè. La camera familiare non ha una vera e propria porta, circostanza che offre poca tranquillità. Pur essendoci una tenda che separa dagli spazi comuni e un cancelletto basso, tutti i rumori del piano inferiore e gli odori della cucina salgono fino alla camera.

• Andrea (5/5): Una notte di passaggio - La struttura è molto pulita e comoda da raggiungere, la cucina in condivisione è in buone condizioni, (mancano alcune pentole), l’host è stata gentilissima e ci ha concesso un check in anticipato. La struttura è ricavata da una casa privata degli anni 70 non rinnovata, ancora piena di ricordi dei proprietari (cd, libri, quadri , mobili). Ci sono tante camere doppie, tutte senza bagno, i servizi sono condivisi, ma sembrano veramente pochi. l’unica camera tripla è situata in mansarda, in cima a una scalinata e senza porta, motivo per cui chi dorme lì sente le voci degli altri avventori e gli odori della cucina che si trova subito sotto. Altra nota dolente sono i divani letto presenti in questa camera, sono entrambi molto scomodi e duri, non adatti a un adulto. Unico vantaggio della mansarda: è dotata di wc privato (molto piccolo e senza doccia)

• Mirjam (9/5): - Ein kleine Hinweis, das Waser der Dusche war nicht richtig heiß. Sehr hellhörig, nebenan im Zimmer die Frau hat die ganze Nacht sich auf der Toilette übegeben, was ich unmittelbar mitbekommen habe. Auch das frühe Gehen einiger Gäste. Wäre gut, wenn man Schild in Küche abringen würde, dass beim Kochen alle Küchentüren geschlossen und Fenster geöffnet werden sollen, da der Gestank in alle Zimmer zieht.
• Jean-Luc (8/5): Très bien dans l’ensemble. - Très bon séjour dans l’ensemble avec un très bon accueil, un emplacement idéal et c’est très propre. Bien équipé ! Seul bémol : lorsque toute les chambres sont occupées peu de place pour manger, beaucoup de bruit et parfois peu de respect du lieu commun (vaisselle pas faite et non rangée). Mais ce n’est pas de la faute de notre hôte… suggestion : peut être mettre des regeles précise sur ce sujet dans la cuisine et salle à manger.
