• melissa (10/5): Very nice, just awkward for the host in the beginning. - All of it was very nice. Booking.com had a glitch so they didn't know we were coming. Host severed ties with Booking.com. Hence, we never got an intro email for entry and didn't have a wifi password, etc.

The bed is very comfortable, and the choice of coffee was great.i love the covered deck that you could sit out on and look at the river and nature even when it was raining. Great choice!!

• Vince (10/5): Tranquil retreat in Gold Bar - Clean, updated lodging with a babbling brook sound out the back yard. Simple touches of hospitality - oatmeal, water in the fridge, soaps and lotions are a great touch.

• Susan (9/5): Welcoming us home for the night. - Pretty much everything except initially difficult to find because of a lack of street signs and mailbox numbers. However, Riverside Retreat's number was one of the few clearly marked. As we mentioned in the guest comment book from the moment we walked in it was like coming home. Caren kept in frequent and very accessible contact. Loved that the decor reflected the setting. Just the difficulty finding the property.
