Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): Love, will highly recommend to Friends, Family, everyone. - Lindsey was incredible. She was friendly open outgoing. She was the first person we met and started off our vacation beautifully.. she was a true asset.
The design was impressive. All the details from the welcome basket, to the Lighting, bedding., Landscape was amazing.
I renovate Properties for a Living. Your website was what stood out before booking, Design was so well thought out attractive, thiis is what First brought me in and of course, keeping the price and something reasonable for the size was what sealed the vacation booking. Loved everything, truly
- Andrew Spalding (8/5): Check what they actually charge you ! - Lovely place, comfortable, clean and quaint. Being over charged. I wasn't the only one. It was pointed out to us by another guest. Charge us $52 more than stated in booking.com. was difficult to get an invoice from them. Eventually the admitted the mistake, but would only refund $44 due to a credit card charge. So I paid $8 for their mistake. They would not shift on this. Left a bad taste after a nice stay.
- Michelle (7/5): Elevated for sure - but overall a freezing and less than comfortable stay. - The cottages are so well done, very comfortable and well laid out and decorated. Check in was easy and we were very close to downtown. Cabins are uninsulated. While there was a heating unit, it worked all night, cycling on and off and was very loud, making it difficult to sleep, while still being freezing in the cabin. The floors were freezing when you got out of bed and the water never heated up to be hot for the shower, possibly because of how cold out it was.

- LIZ (10/5): Beautiful place . Would love to come back - Everything Wish we had gotten the bigger cabin
- Carol (10/5): Comfortable cabin with great amenities! - Very clean and cute! Nothing
- Janice (10/5): -
- Keith (10/5): - Quiet! 2 minute drive to the beach. Really cute property. No outside noise. Dramatically quieter than properties in town and along the main thoroughfares.
- Julie (9/5): Very relaxing and great to stay somewhere a bit different from the norm. - A lovely spot with great facilities and cute cottages packed with everything you need. We borrowed bikes and had a wonderful day out around the coast. We knew breakfast would be simple but the contents seemed a bit more random on our second day.
- Martin (9/5): Really cool and quirky - Great place to stay . Lovely little cottages , nicely decorated, super comfy bed , great shower with high quality toiletries. Unfortunately was only there for one night so didn’t get a chance to use the pool or fire pot area . The breakfast wasn’t the best . Bit too far out to walk into Kennebunkport.
- Dana (10/5): - Loved having bikes to ride into town. The fire pit and yoga offerings were also great extras. The room was slightly smaller than I would prefer.
- C (9/5): Delightful. - Cottages and grounds are adorable and well appointed, beds are comfortable and the place is easy to locate. Breakfast was very good. We came on a holiday weekend and did not interact with any staff for check-in. Coffee maker

- Bonnie (9/5): - Nice amenities; s’mores, parking passes, cookies, bikes, beach chairs
- Dilendick (10/5): - Everything! The cottage was perfect, very clean, comfortable and cozy. The bed was amazing! The amenities were exceptional! We rode bikes to the beach, into the center, it was fantastic! Nothing! It was perfect!
- Julie (9/5): Tiny boutique hotel charm - We LOVED the boutique feel, attention to detail and the staff were all amazing! The pool is adorable, clean and the perfect temp. The beds are extremely comfy. The aesthetic of the property is deliberate, very well thought out and crisp. We really appreciated the Prosecco on arrival as we were there one night on our way to our wedding. I think what they charge per night is a bit high for the square footage but they do a good job packing a lot into a small space. We thought for most part, the thought and time put into the cottages and property is very evident.

- marcy (10/5): Quaint, charming, amenities are beautiful and Clean, highly recommend! - Absolutely charming, clean, centrally located, and the staff is great! We enjoyed the property, the pool area is gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The owner is friendly, we enjoyed his property, would highly recommend it and hope to get back in the future!!
- Acquaviva (10/5): -
- Michael (9/5): Fun and Quaint, great for a short stay! - Details of the property were lovely. Pool was refreshing with plenty of seating and towels. Bed was comfortable.
Very quiet during the night. Received the loveliest handwritten note marking a milestone celebration! 😊 Complimentary fresh hot coffee should be made available, even if you had to go to a central location to get it.
- Cheryle (10/5): This is the highlight of my year every year. The property is amazing. The location is perfect. And the management team - Everything I loved everything. 4th time at this property and it is wonderful!
- Lelia (10/5): - Wonderful property Cottages were beautiful and bed was very comfortable
- Thanaporn (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy quiet and clean
- William (10/5): Exceptional -

- Laura (10/5): a quintessential Maine stay. - We stayed in a sweet little cottage that was renovated to perfection. Plus, all of the amenities: the pool, the s'mores, morning yoga, bikes. Such a relaxing and glorious stay near the beach. The provided breakfast didn't match the quality of the rest of the property and amenities, but it hardly mattered.
- Alison (8/5): Pretty and stylish individual huts - great for a short stay in a beautiful area - Very pretty and stylish huts. Nice breakfast provided and we enjoyed the pool and fire pit Room was small- we had two large suitcases which was a squeeze
- Camille (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ciara (6/5): Pleasant - It was in a nice location, nice touches with the s’mores on arrival. The breakfast was nice as well as the bikes that you could avail of to cycle down to the town. We stayed for the week and out bed sheets were not changed once. The staff only made up the bed but never changed the sheets which was disappointing. The toiletries were never refilled/replaced.
- Francis (10/5): Best little vacation in years, thanks to the manager and Joshua. But everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you are - Staff were very helpful and friendly. Manager goes out of his way to make sure you feel comfortable. Very very clean. Quit setting Extremely clean, great breakfast each morning !
Best place to stay in Kennebunk
Keep up the great work and most of all thank you
- Amanda (10/5): Amazing and lux without breaking the bank. - My partner and I had the most amazing stay. The details and small touches from check-in to check-out made this one of the most unique, memorable and romantic getaways we've shared.
- Mariah (10/5): Exceptional cottage stay - The location was easy access to the town of Kennebunkport. The cottages are adorable & everything is designed with intention. The breakfast was a nice touch & Mark was very engaging when we spoke to him. Definitely stay here if you can. N/A
- Wagner (10/5): Exceptional - we werent expecting any breakfast so when the staff text me and asked about food allergies we were pleasantly surprised. I wouldnt say there was anything that we didnt like about our room/property/staff. 10/10
- Anyssa (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (9/5): Fun setting with pool and fire with smores. Great spot! -
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Really lovely little cottage with everything you need. Beautifully furnished, comfy bed, great shower and breakfast delivered to your door! Path outside from the cottage to the car park was waterlogged and we couldn’t avoid the puddles but we had had an exceptional downpour that day so hopefully it’s not a normal occurrence.
- Judith (10/5): Cottage and grounds were beautiful and comfortable. Staff very welcoming, location very convenient. Free bikes too! - Really top notch renovation of an old time cottage colony. Decor was serene and the small space very well utilized Nothing
- Branden (10/5): Wanderer Cottages were the perfect touch of coastal comfort we needed after our days of exploring the nearby towns. - Warm and friendly hospitality began as soon as we entered the charming, festive driveway. From the complimentary cocktail (blueberry themed, of course), to the quaint and coastal decor filled cottage, everything about Wanderer exceeded expectations. We can’t wait to come back! That I couldn’t pick it up and take it back to Texas with me!
- Evelyn (10/5): Will definitely stay at this property again. - Everything N/A
- Mark (10/5): A delightful stay in the beautiful 'Great Escape' Cottage. - The cottage was delightful to stay in. It is very well appointed and has everything you need. It was spotlessly clean. The pool area was lovely and it was very relaxing to spend time there. We made excellent use of the complimentary bikes to travel in and out of town. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast is simple but it is enough to get you started. Very novel to have it delivered to the cottage each morning in a cool bag. Nothing
- Tom (6/5): It was nice & the bed was comfortable. Probably a better experience in the summer. - Wonderful breakfast delivered to our cottage. Very small cottage & the heater was extremely load causing us to shut it off @ night. In Ma. @ that time of year it got very cold in the room. Better heating & a small microwave in the room
- Patricia (10/5): Great place and location. Love that they accept dogs. - Breakfast left on porch each morning; bed; cottage; decor; very clean.
- Erica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (10/5): Fabulous end staying here for our New England road trip tour. - Very nice set up, with lots of special touches. Particularly comfortable bed. Close to beach & Kennebunkport. Very helpful customer focused staff. Smaller units tight on space if travelling with 2 suitcases.
- Suzanne (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (9/5): It was really fun to stay in our own little cottage in beautiful Kennebunkport. - The little cottage was beautifully decorated- having your own cottage was fun! Nothing
- Purcell (10/5): Exceptional - The cottages were so cute and aesthetically pleasing. The toiletries were nice. It could have used a hairdryer. We loved riding the bikes to the beach. Town was very close to. The fire was lovely when we arrived. I felt it was just a little pricey because we got it really late one evening and couldn’t fully enjoy the amenities.
- Aimee (7/5): It exceeded expectations. - As cute as the photos. Very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well appointed. I loved the property. The only downside is the queen cottage is on the small side and close to the road. Although it was small, it was room enough and very comfortable.
- Shannon (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): Very quiet location but close to everything! - They had great amenities! Loved the fire pit met awesome people from New York & South Carolina! Fleece blankets, s’mores & beautiful area! Close to Kennebunkport or Mothers beach! Only 1 thing we all talked about at fire pit..wish we had a luggage rack in each room. Room was cosy but had everything we needed. Breakfast was a sweet touch! No luggage rack.
- Kaleb (10/5): Exceptional - The cottages are adorable and we loved the pool and bikes. The staff was so friendly and helpful!
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Personalization Nothing
- Janice (9/5): Superb -
- Tooker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (9/5): We will be back for sure! This time with all our friends not just a anniversary vaca! - Everything about the hotel was so cute! From the welcome drinks, to the morning breakfast left at your door, and the poolside towels and refreshments! They think of everything. I wish we knew what the breakfast was beforehand. It wasn't something we would really eat so we didn't get to enjoy it. Also wish the pool stayed open later.
- Sheila (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): Great, stay will definitely come back! - Very unique and relaxing. The property is kept clean the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Nothing
- Howdy (8/5): Very good -
- Madison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Desiree (10/5): Exceptional - Great!
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - The entire place was really cute. Rooms were clean and bed very comfortable. The breakfast delivery in am was nice. Liked everything.
- Sandi (10/5): One night treasure - A very cute chic retreat. The reviews are what got me as I looked around for a short stay that was affordable, clean, and close to town without being overly priced. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Our cottage was nicely equipped with modern decor and amenities. A prepared breakfast to go was delivered to our cottage. It included a cinnamon apple donut, juice, tangerine, cheese, and water. Just enough to get our day started. We were very satisfied to have chosen the Wanderers designer cabanas that include a pool, communal fire pit with pre-made smoars, and bike rides. It was appropriately located a stones throw from the busy destination of Kennebunkport. I would definitely recommend this adults only retreat whether for an individual, couple, family, short or extended stay. It is cabana style so a small space created with surprising flair is a bit pricey but is worth the experience.
- Brooke (9/5): Great value, charming cottages - Quaint cottages surrounding a nice pool with lots of seating around fire pits and the bocce court.
- Wasielewski (10/5): Relaxing, rejuvenating and restful! - The staff was friendly and the property was beautiful. The cottage was clean, comfy and beautifully decorated. They offered great amenities such as bikes, fire pit, salt water pool and a fun breakfast bag delivered to your cabin each morning with yummy breakfast treats. I liked everything. It's a great place to stay.
- Lucine (9/5): Very relaxing, beautifully curated cottage... - Location was perfect. The rooms were very thoughtfully designed and furnished, considering they're not especially large in square footage. To-go breakfast was a nice touch. If I have to pick on something, I would have preferred hot breakfast but understandably there is no kitchen on the premises.
Possible ideas is to give some options to the guests of what they would like each day. Could maybe even order hot items from outside restaurants/vendors according to occupant's desired delivery schedule.
- Debbie (10/5): Just far enough away from Main Street but close enough to the beaches! - Perfect all around. Cozy getaway.
- Alexis (10/5): Exceptional - Cute breakfast sacks delivered every morning, beach chairs/ parking passes, bikes, smores/ fire pit all included!
- Courtney (6/5): Pleasant -
- Erin (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay! Would definitely recommend and return. - It’s easy to find and conveniently located. It was also full of loads of thoughtful details like ice water, sunblock and fresh towels around the pool, a basket and lock for the bikes, etc. The cottages were a little small.
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful Property, close location, wonderful sandwich shop across , refreshing pool -
- Maude (10/5): Exceptional - Location, amenities and confort Car noises around the streets
- Heather (10/5): We loved our tiny cottage in Kennebunk, we'll definitely come again. - The resort is so cute. The landscaping and overall aesthetic is coastal & comfortable. We loved the location, super close proximity to the beach, across the street from the BEST sandwich place in Kennebunk, and they have everything you need to make your stay fun - bikes, beach chairs, towels, firepit and smores. All good! This would be a GREAT place for a group vacation. My ONLY complaint was the mattress. Loved our room, while tiny, it was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mattress was just not comfortable.
- Nichol (10/5): Wonderful - Location excellent situated both in close proximity to town and beaches. Quaint comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. No criticism from our trip. Overall great. Cottages are close but still feel private.
- Stefanie (10/5): Loved the Wanderer Cottages. Staff was very helpful, property was well maintained, overall great place! - Very cute, clean, nice amenities! The queen room was a little small.
- Lauren (9/5): Superb -

- Rebecca (10/5): It was fantastic! -
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (10/5): Decided to go away without the children and it was exactly what we hoped for and more! - Relaxing atmosphere to stay and have fun with friends. I enjoyed everything
- Elisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brittany (10/5): Absolutely loved this property! Would definitely return again! - Pool, breakfast bags, firepit, very friendly service, comfy bed, beautiful aesthetic, no kids Wish it was walkable to downtown or beach but there are bikes to use and it is a super quick drive.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zoe (9/5): Superb - Staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. Property was very pretty and well-maintained, and everything was well thought out. Air conditioning was a little loud.
- Kristen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Molly (9/5): Superb - The setting is better than the photos. It is quiet and easy to get everywhere. They were so thoughtful and had sparklers at our door for the 4th of July. Unfortunately, our room was very warm at night and kept us up. It was really frustrating and nothing seemed to work. Our room did not have an overhead fan but I think other rooms did. We asked the front desk if they had a fan which they didn’t, it would have been great if they did
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional - Wanderer Cottages provided a slice of heaven. Every minute detail of the room was carefully designed and executed. The breakfast bags were thoughtfully out together and hung outside our door every morning Everything, including all staff we interacted with were thoughtful and considerate. I want to return very diin
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Front desk was so helpful in making sure our needs were met. - Super cute cottages. Firepit and bocce court great for social gatherings. Didn’t get a chance to use pool. Farther away from town but biking into town and beach was a highlight of my stay. Plus the s’morse.
- Cristina (9/5): Perfect stay, everything I imagined and more. - Super cute and convenient to downtown. Other then the exceptionally hot weather (not their fault) it was perfect. The electricity did go out for a few hours but they were able to move us to a bigger cabin!
- Terence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - How clean it was The cottage could be a little bigger.
