• Luisa (10/5): - La ubicación puede que sea algo diferente para llegar, pero me agaradó mucho que estuviera como tal rodeado de naturaleza. El espacio no era muy amplio pero cumple totalmente con su función y es ameno. No tengo quejas, es un lugar muy práctico.

• Yolaundra (9/5): Peaceful getaway near the beach. - Whispering Wisdom is a quaint spot that feels jungle-adjacent. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, it is great but. You are very close to nature. It has an outside kitchen area, a bathroom with a shower, and two king beds—the necessities. It is also steps away from Playa Grande en Cahuita. It is a little tricky getting there.
• Yannick (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice place for a couple. Not far from everything and the national parc by car. Really nice neighborhood with kind and helpful people. The see is really close to the house. Clean, beautiful and nice home. We spend a really good time. It's very appreciable, because a lot of the surrounding beaches have remained "wild" and therefore very beautiful.
• Sherrie (8/5): We would stay there again - The yard was beautiful and private. We would like to acknowledge our friendly cleaning lady who did an excellent job and visited with a smile🥰 The road to and from this accommodation is unkept and rough.
• Marta (10/5): Amazing place! - A unique place! amazing atmosphere - the sounds of monkeys, birds (also kolibers!) in the garden. Perfect location - off the beaten track, but within walking distance to the beach, you can walk to Cahuita. The house is even nicer than in the photo, it has everything you need. Service at the highest level - available 24/7. Support an help from the Jefferson was more than perfect and 100% professional. We spent a wonderful time there - we do recommend it to everyone. Absolutely nothing.
• Jessica (4/5): The one place to avoid in an otherwise lovely trip - The place was clean - Some of the features advertised in the booking profile simply weren't there. Most importantly, the washing machine and dryer, were nowhere to be found. The owner shrugged his shoulders and said it must have been a misunderstanding on our end. He suggested we book a fee-based laundry service instead. - Right next to the place, they are currently cutting down trees using chainsaws, starting just before 8 am. - There is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom, not even a curtain. If you want some privacy during your "business," you have to send everyone out to the front yard. Also, there was no spare toilet paper roll. Luckily, we brought our own. - It gets incredibly hot during the night due to the lack of AC. The owner will tell you that the "open construction" will help. It doesn't. - We have spent a couple of weeks in different locations throughout the entire country, all in the same price range. The equipment in this one was by far the worst. - The owners are notably inexperienced and, as you can read on other platforms, are rather unpleasant to deal with.
• Michael (10/5): Secluded reserve outside of the city - An absolutely charming little stay tucked away from the hustle and noise of the city. A five minute walk to the ocean, a moderate sized quiet yard to be in the outdoors, and a perfectly stocked and maintained kitchen made this stay wonderful. The shower in the bathroom was phenomenal. I loved this place away from home..

• Maryse (1/5): Horrible experience for our family - The place was very clean when we arrived and the host was very helpful in organizing activities, which were fantastic (Choco Museum and night tour by Iki.dreams). There's a beautiful beach nearby. The host was very unhelpful with other things. The place is far from town, and from any restaurants and stores. She had told us before arrival we could easily use Uber, but we never saw a single active car on Uber during our five day stay. We walked to town the first time (almost an hour) and the locals gave us phone numbers for taxis. We asked for bug spray when we had an issue with ants in the room, because a grasshopper had died under the bed and had attracted them. She told us to keep the room clean and that we could buy product in any store downtown. In all our other homestays in Costa Rica, the host had some product in our room, we never had to ask, and even less pay for a product we'd use very little of. There is no door or curtain for the bathroom, so very little privacy. My child threw a tantrum on our last night, because he was too hot to sleep. There's no AC in the room and it's really hot at night, which made it hard to fall asleep. By the fifth night, he was overtired, too hot, and he screamed and stumped his feet. We calmed him down within minutes, and apologized to the host, but she was very judgemental over the lack of control we have over our kid. We try our best to educate them and teach them the importance of respect, but we're clearly not as good parents as she was. Also, my kids left a dirty handprint near the shower and a footprint on the wall (bad habit of putting his feet against the wall, we're trying to teach him to stop but don't always see him do it) and she was really upset and said they'd have to repaint. My husband rubbed lightly with a dry cloth and it disappeared. She said we should teach our kids to be respectful and that they weren't well educated. We've been traveling for a year, have stayed in over fifty homes and this was the first time anyone had anything negative to say about our kids.

• Sharon (10/5): So happy we booked at Casa Caribe Sur! - A wonderful gem steps from the beach, very beautifully designed and well equipped peaceful accommodation with a yard, on a quiet road. Exceptional property!! Hosts are extremely helpful and friendly.

• Maksym (10/5): Great cabin away from crowds but near amenities - 1. The hosts are awesome. Scheduling was very easy, Janine is super-responsive to the questions about the property as well as many other questions that I had: getting around, booking trips, eating out, where to get groceries locally, you name it... 2. The location is terrific: 3.min walk from the beach and 5 min drive from all the restaurants. So we had a super calm location with essentially a private beach and easy access to all things that we needed: restaurants, groceries, etc 3. The cabin is brand new: everything is clean and shiny, working perfectly. 4. Cahuita National Park is 5 mins drive away, so this is another huge advantage. There is no AC (typical case for Costa Rica), so for some people falling asleep might be a bit harder (nights are chilly though so blankets come.in rather handy).
