Jon (8/5): - EL lugar es tranquilo y la zona de arriba es muy acogedora, incluida una cocina con todo lo necesario. Si quieres cocinar y guardar cosas está genial. No me gustó que no ofrecen agua potable y tampoco avisan de ello. Me parece algo muy importante de saber.
Holly (1/5): Catfish hotel - Nothing The photo of the room I booked and the room I was given on arrival were completely different (see photos), not even slightly close. When I tried to contact the host to resolve the issue he ignored my messages and my phone calls, we ended up having to book another hotel instead because there was absolutely no privacy in the room we were given. I have only received any form of response once I complained to booking.com, and even since then they haven’t come back to me despite repeated messages. Terrible service, terrible “hotel”, is more like a military training camp
Toby (1/5): Unpleasant place. First time I've ever left to find another place after paying. - Nothing to like - I had to find somewhere else to stay. Check-in was unpleasant. No staff about, and the instructions for finding the key wasn't sent before arrival, so I spent half an hour on the street calling and messaging, waiting for a reply. When I got in, there was no lighting or electricity - just a dark room. It wasn't a general power-cut, just a problem with the place. I contacted the host, who said they already knew, and are waiting for an electrician but they don't know when it will be fixed. I said I can't just sit in the dark in a run down room - they said there's nothing they can do about it. No offer of a torch, or candle - they made me feel like I was being difficult or unreasonable. I had to leave to find another place, and they refused a refund. The electricity not working is fine - stuff happens, but I think the attitude of the place to not offer a refund, when they can't provide a suitable place to stay is nasty.

Benedetta (3/5): Unfortunately no - Oaxaca is a fantastic city! Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience: the room was extremely hot and we received no assistance from the staff. The location was not ideal and the common spaces a bit neglected
Lisa (6/5): Pleasant - For $17 a night it was fine. Hard to open and shut the door to the room. No access to outside air, during a heat wave with only a standing fan. Staff was never around. Shared bathroom, kept clean, but the toilet was not working well and the place ran out of water one afternoon.

The bed is smaller and a little dusty. I will not recommend this place if you are only girls. Me and my friend weren't feel safe.

Benedicte (8/5): Very good considering the price - The rooms were relatively big, and nice and clean. There was a fan which was good, since it was quite hot during the day. The walls were very thin and our room was directly next to the road, so we were woken up by cars and dogs barking a few times.
Martin (8/5): Great value for money, could be a little more secure, but it was a very safe neighbourhood so… nevermind. - We liked the roof terrace for breakfast, the rooms were basic but functional. The facilities were basic but cleaned often and thoroughly- so it was good value for money overall. At one point the lock on our door stopped working (you could just push it open). While this was fixed the next day, it wasn’t ideal for leaving our valuables.

Roberto (8/5): I really like the place and location, the lady was very friendly, I'll definitely stay again! :)! - I like the place, it's nice and quite. All the other guests were very respectful, no loud noise at all. The location it's perfect, about 15-25 min walking to the Center of Oaxaca or even at the "Central de Abastos". The price was very affordable compared to other places. The restroom it's a little small but that's not a big deal.

Myrtille (6/5): Average - The room is big, clean and comfortable. The hostel is located near to a small organic shop where you can find good fruits and vegetables. The room can be very hot but we were lucky to have a window so we could open it to let some fresh air go in the room. Kitchen is well equipped. Bathrooms are clean on the morning (and we were lacking toilet papers) but become dirty during the day. It can be hard to use the kitchen during rainy days since it’s outside and the small roof does not enough protect the floor.
