- Prateek (10/5): The perfect quiet and no-frills beachside retreat - Fantastic location, food, and most importantly Pritesh the owner was very helpful. The property is right across the working Devbag beach, and you have the luxury of observing the fishermen of the village work in tireless and meticulous manner every day. It is truly quite fascinating.
However, the standout part of the homestay is Pritish himself. I really enjoyed speaking to him on various topics, like the history of the village, his various business ventures around the region, and never-dull current affairs of our times. He was also incredibly generous with his time; he would drop and pick me up from the nearest bus stop for whenever I would venture in to South Goa. He also took me on his scooter to Karwar when I told him I wanted to shop for local speciality items like Cashew nuts and some spices.
Lastly, the food at the property is a real treat. Some of the best fish and preparations I have ever eaten, and it is inexpensive. I had a wonderful time, and would love to come back and spend even longer. Nothing
- Anubhav Sareen (8/5): Lovely place for a one nighter - Lovely beachside place for one night stay Everything good as per price. Staff was very helpful.
- kane (10/5): Perfect. - Loved the location. Gorgeous Majali beaches. Exceptional attention from the owner Pradesh and his family.
If you order there dinners u won’t be disappointed. Machines working on the sea wall. But they’ll be gone in a few weeks

- Jade (10/5): Fantastic stay - Fantastic hosts and felt very homely, a wonderful family to stay with. This part of the coast feel undiscovered and tranquil.
- Renate (10/5): It has been so good that I like to come back there! - I have stayed 14 days and really enjoyed. The owner and his wife and Family are Beautiful people. They care and fulfill your wishes or Special requests. I needed to eat Not spicy and they did that for me 🙏.The Cooking (3 times a day) is delicious. And there is also a Kitchen that can be Used, with fridge and oven! The Room is New and well done. There is a lovely view over the sea. The area is quiet. A fishermen Village. No Shops or Restaurants around. Still a nearly Virgin Place. Good for living the real India. A local bus to the near City Karwar stops in Front of the House many times a day. I can really recommand with my Heart. Some more possibility to put the clothes.
- Uday (7/5): Must Visit For Clean And Clear Golden Sand Beach. - Sea front. Excellent golden sand beach. Very tasty vegetable food. Must visit for clean beach. Owner is very cooperative. Not many tourist places to visit. As there was a festive of Mandir going on, we could not enjoy non veg food. So cannot comment on non veg food. AC not working properly in daytime. But outside the bridge from the Sea was very cool. So we could manage.
- Chiranjeevi (9/5): - "An absolute gem in Karwar! The beach views were stunning, but it was the host’s hospitality that really stood out. Clean rooms, a peaceful atmosphere, and a host who truly cares about their guests. Can’t wait to come back!"
- Preston (9/5): - Lovely host and family. Very friendly and provided home cooked meals. Relaxing location on beach. No bars or restaurants within walking distance.
- Nitin (9/5): - Great value for money. The host is amazing person and stays with his family.Bathroom was clean and hygienic with toiletries, towel provided by them.Ac in the room.Charging points,Chair Table dustbin is available..Bed is comfortable with clean pillows,blankets...beach is barely 1 minute walk from this property..Has wifi and cctc facilities..
Suggest if they can have covered vehicle.parking as our car was beneath a tree on opposite side of property
Lovely tasty veg thali we ordered with appetizer mackerel fish made in malvani style. We liked everything....only if we had covered car parking.. its scary to park car outside beneath a tree with sea wind fully blowing in rainy season..

- Vishnumaya (9/5): Peaceful location and nice hosts - It is a beachfront property, so I absolutely loved the location. They also had bus stop right in front of the property to get to the town, which made it accessible. The hosts are super friendly and accommodate your needs on time.
The food was homely and delicious.
I would definitely visit again. I felt they could have cleaned the room every day since I was staying for many days. There were some power cuts happening and my fan had stopped working. But the host let me use the AC for free instead and fixed the power cuts as fast as possible.
- Shubham (10/5): - Great host, went beyond his responsibilities to assist is with our stay in Karwar.
Helpful lad, great location of the property.
- Sriharsha (10/5): It was a great weekend escape! - The hosts were great, the food was awesome, and they were mindful of our needs as we had kids. The location was right at the beach, which was wonderful. The facilities were good.
Also, they are associated with Prafulla boating center, which provided us with an economical option for a great boat ride. N/A
- Shailesh (10/5): Very Good - Good food, clean rooms, friendly gesture by owner.
- Carol (10/5): Authentic, peaceful, with genuine hospitality. We loved it♥️ - Newly built cabin with all the mod cons, Wi-Fi, good shower, hot water and a fabulous mosquito net. The location is fantastic and the hospitality of the family top notch. Nothing was to much trouble for them, the huge and practically deserted beach was 30metre from the property. We walked 12km one day and only saw two fishermen . This is a true fisherman village with lovely people. One morning our host Pritesh knocked on our door to ask if we wanted to help release the newly hatched Oliver Ridley turtles into the ocean….a once in a lifetime experience! Our meals were fresh ingredients and local caught fish made by Poonam and Pritesh’s mum and they were delicious and very good value for money. A local bus runs into Karwar town with the stop right outside the property if you wish to go into a town. Pritesh can provide boat trips, arrange transportation and show you secret spots like black beach with the group of wild monkeys in the forest behind once again in a totally natural setting. This was all really good value for money ( much cheaper than any of the more mainstream resorts). If you want to try something a tiny bit off the main resorts we would 100% recommend this homestay. The hosts are lovely people who went above and beyond. Nothing at all.
- Dasgupta (9/5): Superb - Very energetic young couple passionate about serving the wanderlust. Nothing
- Selwyn (10/5): Homely - The hospitality provided by the owners Prithesh and Poonam was excellent, the meals were delicious and economical.
The beach is just across the road.
The rooms are very clean.
Overall a nice pleasant experience. Nothing in particular
- Rao (7/5): Good - Stay is good, ryt in front of the beach.Host is professional and good. The hot water facility was inconsistent.
- Zamanta (10/5): Prafulla is Island Living - When it comes to Prafulla, where do you start about what you like? 🤔
I took a bus from North Goa to Karwar and missed my stop, but Pritesh, who offered to pick me up at the original stop, had no problem picking me up at the next stop. He treated me with care and attention from that moment on.
The location is picture-perfect—two bungalows right off a beautiful beach in a fisherman's village. If you are looking for a party beach town with plenty to see and do, this is not it. Prafulla is for those explorers in search of serenity.
The beach is yours, with a few village kids playing cricket and ladies taking their sunset walk in their colorful sarees.🥻 The water is clear, warm, and shallow enough for kids to play without worrying about deep water pockets like in North Goa.
The bungalows, 10 steps from the beach, are nothing fancy, but they give you the island charm feeling. You have hot water, a mosquito net, and a strong fan, but with the island breeze and the sounds of the crashing waves, the fan is a distraction. There is a separate kitchen if you want to cook or place stuff in the refrigerator, a washer machine, and free wifi.
Best of all, Poonam, Pritesh's wife, cooks authentic regional foods if you prefer not to cook yourself for an incredibly affordable price. It would cost you more to buy it yourself and make it. I sent photos of my dishes to Pritesh to add to his link.
As for the staff, his mother, brother, and other family members are at your service. Pritesh also offers tips on places to see, and if you would like to go out to sea or have him as a guide, that too can be arranged, again at a very affordable fee.
Prafulla is what Goa was before the hotels and tourists took over. Again, this is a quiet place with a very laid-back attitude. I spent my mornings slow, worked in the afternoon on my computer, swam, then watched the sunset before dinner with occasional trips to other beaches and markets.
Parulla is Island Living. It is not close to the airport, but it is worth the distance. If you ask Pritesh, he will arrange transport at a reasonable price.
- Tech (10/5): Exceptional - I had a great stay at this place! The hosts made us feel at home with their friendly attitude, and the room was cozy and clean. The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to attractions.
The home-cooked meals were a highlight, and the hosts provided great recommendations. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and comfortable stay!
- Yatharth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melvin (10/5): Exceptional - Great hospitality by the hosts. Great coastal village atmosphere right next to beach
- Priyadarsan (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome place facing the beach, the family managing this were very hospital.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Niyogi (9/5): We strongly recommend this homestay. - The location could be found easily. The breakfast was very good, with a homely touch, which was heartwarming. The hosts were good and cooperative. They saw to it that we would be comfortable. One or more cupboards in the room.
- Roshna (9/5): Superb -
