Guest Reviews
- greycells (9/5): - Incredible views. The beds are very comfortable. Overall comfortable. The height of the access to the verandah and through the back door were very high. Both of us had difficulty getting into the premises. My wife uses a walker, and I use a crutch. If we were aware of this, our choice of accommodation may have been different. Having said this, we still enjoyed ourselves.

- Lorna (8/5): A peaceful place to enjoy a quiet holiday. - We found the place to be very peaceful, relaxing and secluded, also the bed was very comfortable. There is a good walking track nearby which takes you along a bush track by the lake. We had to contact the property owner to get instructions on how to get the heaters working, also the bathroom floor does not drain well after having a shower, it remains wet and very slippery.
- Philip (9/5): All very nice. -
- Renee (9/5): Peace and quiet - Gorgeous views. Serenity. Quiet.
Laundry available which was helpful.
Close to town.
Cute little homely additions in the living space and kids games and activities available too

- Heath (10/5): Exceptional - Location Na
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - This house was wonderful. Great value, deck views of the water, bush, birdlife, private, on the cycle path into town, the most comfortable bed of all our rentals, fully equipped kitchen, very clean oven, even coffee beans and grinder, 30 minute cycle on the washing machine, beautifully retro decorated house, new bathroom with lots of hot water. Would highly recommend
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - The house was clean had a fantastic balcony to sit and relax
- Lisa (10/5): Excellence. - Excellence . Perfect , peaceful, close to everything accomodation. Owners were very friendly , professional and frequently enquired if we were happy during our stay. Spotlessly clean , great for lovers of nature , home away from home. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended . Nothing
- Danae (9/5): A wonderful and tranquil few days. We will be rebooking. - Situated amongst the trees and looking towards the water. The house is private and intimate. But close to main roads.
Only a couple of minutes into St Helens and combined with tranquility. Well appointed. Thank you Casey. Nothing. It was 10/10
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Victoria (8/5): Very good - The location was great. The house had a wonderful outlook and the bush block was a nice surprise. Lots of birds to watch Nothing
- Janalyssa (9/5): Quiet and tranquil stay - The house is in a great location, with views over the water from the balcony. It is lovely and peaceful on a bush block with plentiful birdlife. We enjoyed having a fire at night, everything is provided and well set up for extra firewood. Comfortable rooms and provisions were available for tea/coffee and condiments for cooking. An overall great stay! Only 5min into town at St Helens and plenty of walking tracks.
- Belinda (9/5): Lovely and relaxing . - secluded & private & warm . Full of natural light . Comfortable bedding & beautiful native flora surrounding us, which attracted some stunning bird life . Difficult to work out the timing of the water heaters to come on when we wanted them to.
- Judith (10/5): Loved our choice and would stay there again. - Location was wonderful. Looked out across the bay. Loved the choice of central heating or the wood fire.
- Jonathon (9/5): Superb - Hidden oasis. Just loved it. Nothing
- Lisa (9/5): Lovely stay, very homey and peaceful - Good location, loved the fireplace
- Richard (9/5): Authentic shack, and very peaceful - It was such a lovely little shack - you felt it was as it had always been, except that there had been some very good renos to make it a lot more comfortable, such as the bathroom. The bed and bed linen was also really comfortable and good quality.
We had a slight glitch with the electricity (it went out for 8 hours!) but Casey sent through the link for us to liaise with Tasnet, which was all anyone could have done. The shack was right next to the track along the bay, and she sent us details as to how to get down to it. We didn't stay long enough! No complaints - a few suggestions
The garden was lovely but if the trees had been trimmed back there would have been a much better view. Also there were proteas buried in the garden that would be lovely if the undergrowth around them had been cut back.
The area round the bath could be a bit slippery from the shower; another bath mat might have been good.
- Kristy (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Lorraine (7/5): Good -
- Frank (6/5): a very pleasant house but the wattle pollen and house dust filled me with hayfever - living among the canopy of trees living among the canopy of trees.
I am allergic to wattle and house dust
the musty rugs on floor and sofas
drawers are sticky in kitchen
- Garry (9/5): Superb - Comfortable and good quality linen. Very comfortable bed. Wood provided for heating stove. Good back up central heating with water heaters. Modern bathroom. Quiet bush setting. Needs clearer signage to locate property.
