- Allan (6/5): - John, the person on the ground, was great. He was easy to reach and very helpful throughout. The house itself is also nice, in a good location, and quiet and serene This isn’t a service-oriented place. I’m in Kilifi regularly and wanted to try somewhere new, but this was probably my worst experience at this price point. We rented a house that sleeps eight, yet were only given three towels. When we asked for more, we were told additional towels cost KSh 500 each. That felt unreasonable, especially since the house costs the same regardless of whether it’s occupied by one person or eight. It raises the question of whether a full group would also be expected to pay extra just for basic essentials. We were also charged for a spoon we were accused of taking, which was frustrating and felt unnecessary. Housekeeping was another issue. We stayed from Thursday to Sunday and were told cleaning only happens every three days, with no flexibility. Combined with the lack of towel refresh, it made the stay feel quite hands-off. At this price point, I expected a more accommodating and service-focused experience.
