Guest Reviews
- Jane (8/5): Nice place shower need to be looked at and beds not very comfortable - Very close to the town and nice to have parking Nice kitchen
- Rafael (10/5): Convenient and comfortable - Great cottage right in the town centre, but very quiet. Parking a bonus. The property has everything necessary for a pleasant, comfortable stay.

- Liz (10/5): A beautiful property in the heart of Ashburton, highly recommend a stay, would definitely return. - We loved the location being right in the heart of Ashburton. The property had everything we needed, it was clean & tidy.
Michael knocked on our first day & check we were all ok which was nice.
- Amanda (8/5): Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and would go back. - Unfortunately for a family that are afraid of Spiders, the amount of cobwebs let the property down. Understandable though for the age of the property and amount of high greenery. It did not bother me personally. But as the only one not afraid I did have to de cobweb as best as I could. It’s not a bad review, just maybe something g to think about if families are staying.

- Lexi (9/5): - Great location, really comfy and cosy! All great.
- Anna (9/5): We had a great stay, we would definitely come back! - It was well positioned, cosy and comfortable. It was an easy check in it was very warm and perfectly positioned for what we needed.
- Margaret (9/5): - Central Ashburton location was perfect for our visit to friends in the town.
The property was cosy and charming with a well- equipped kitchen and great shower. Nothing.
- Kathy (8/5): A lovely place to stay close to my son - Excellent location in centre of Ashburton.
Very comfortable property with all the facilities. Nothing
- Zoe (5/5): Nice area - I loved the area it was in and the fact it had a washing machine The dining chairs were dangerously wobbly , tried to see if we could fix them but couldnt . No gas for the bbq. Every day the garden furniture kept dissapearing .... one min we had 2 single chairs ... then a bench and chair , then back to 2 chairs and i really dont know why . When we arrived there were no plates till i found them in the dishwasher which isnt on really , a folder would also have been nice telling us how to use things like the cooker as it was complicated also where to find things like extra pillows as when arrived only had one each . Everything seemed a bit weird tbh
- MARC (10/5): - We spent 9 nights in this wonderful and comfortable house. Bankhouse stables is a charming, quiet and typical place. Thanks a lot to Michael for his flexibility and reactivity. Despite of the long distance to France, we would enjoy to come back in this nice house. Nothing.
- Andrew (9/5): Lovely location, great accommodation with its own parking. - The location and the feel of the property. Was missing the hairdryer.
- David (5/5): Lovely location, could have been very enjoyable, let down by simple things. - Location was good for our needs, quiet and central No map or directions given prior to arrival, No instruction of where to find key, had to ring the host to gain access. No welcome instructions on how to use any of the appliances, note giving WiFi code left, told to use TV go through Fire stick but no evidence of fire stick, unable to watch tv during stay, Bathroom door noisy needed greasing. Feather duvet noisy and uncomfortable and wife has feather allergy so unable to use. Not fully cleaned as odd bits left on kitchen shelves, fridge very noisy. Microwave so low down very difficult to use. No contact with host throughout stay or at departure.
- Katherine (8/5): Lovely gorgeous little pad -
- Cornwell (10/5): Absolutely stunning location, great hosts and perfect accommodation. 5*! - Everything from the location, the house, and the gardens outside were superb. The rustic take on the home was beautiful, it was fully "connected" with access to all manners of streaming services in the evenings for the kids and a 2 minute walk from all the shops you'd need or some stunning english countryside walks. This home makes a great base of operations if you plan to visit various places around South Devon and the owners were incredible, from presentation, communication and so forth. You will not regret your stay! Nothing that i didn't like, just be careful of the oak bed corners, they're right at shin level and if you're clumsy like me, they will sure hurt if you walk into it. Parking a little tight if you're going 3-wide but for 2 cars, works well. Definitely easier to drive down the road and reverse back in.
- Harry (5/5): Passable - Location Wasn't the cleanest
