• Shelly (10/5): This is a beautiful place to stay. - This is the most lovely hotel. It was my favorite of the 5 we stayed in on our two week trip mid October. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful and comfortable. Check in was very smooth. Our room was wonderful but the view was the highlight. It's so breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. The weather did not allow for us to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL beach and pool. The food was really good. It's a little on the upscale side as far as portions and choices, but everything we had was delicious. I would go back to this property in a heartbeat! Everything!

Schönes Frühstücksbuffet, überaus zuvorkommendes Personal, schönes Zimmer mit Terrasse, gutes Restaurant.

• Rocco (10/5): Il luogo perfetto per rigenerarsi e sentirsi a casa - Ho soggiornato per la seconda volta al meraviglioso Hotel Santavenere: una location incantevole con vista mozzafiato sul Golfo di Policastro. Le camere sono spaziose, confortevoli e sempre impeccabili nella pulizia. All’interno della struttura ci sono diversi ristoranti, uno più buono dell’altro, con una cucina ricca di verdure fresche e ottimo pesce. La colazione è davvero eccezionale: nella bellissima sala colazione Enzo ti accoglie con grande professionalità, facendoti sentire al tempo stesso a casa. Il Santavenere è un luogo di pace e rigenerazione: ogni volta che ci torniamo ritroviamo benessere e armonia. Un posto unico, da vivere e rivivere.

Food wasn’t nearly as good as we expected. A real shame.however, the port is a short walk away where there are plenty of local fish restaurants.
• Giora (10/5): Santavenere: un angolo di paradiso a Maratea - Soggiornare al Santavenere Hotel è stata un’esperienza che definire straordinaria è riduttivo. Fin dal primo momento l’accoglienza è stata impeccabile: lo staff si è dimostrato attento a ogni dettaglio e pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi necessità con rapidità e discrezione. Sono stato omaggiato di un upgrade in una camera di categoria superiore, con una vista mozzafiato sul mare, sul parco e sulla statua del Cristo Redentore. La camera era arredata con gusto, impreziosita da fiori freschi, dotata di ogni comfort, compresa la possibilità di ricaricare i dispositivi anche all’interno della cassaforte. La doccia con effetto pioggia, illuminata da giochi di luce, trasmetteva una sensazione unica, quasi fosse una pioggia vera. Un dettaglio che mi ha colpito particolarmente è stato il servizio di riassetto serale: mentre cenavo, la camera veniva sistemata alla perfezione, così da ritrovarla sempre ordinata e accogliente. Il resort è immerso in un parco vasto e curatissimo, con un servizio di golf car sempre disponibile per gli spostamenti interni. La spiaggia privata è una piccola baia incantevole, con mare cristallino e un servizio impeccabile: acqua servita in bottiglie di vetro o alluminio, senza traccia di plastica, e personale sempre presente per garantire il massimo comfort. Il minibar, incluso nel soggiorno, offriva bevande e caffè di altissima qualità. La prima colazione è stata sorprendente: una selezione ricchissima di prodotti tipici e prelibatezze, superiore persino a quella di hotel più costosi. Il Santavenere Hotel non è certo un albergo economico, ma se si vuole comprendere cosa significhi avvicinarsi all’idea di “paradiso”, bisogna concedersi almeno una notte qui. Ogni dettaglio, dal servizio alla struttura, contribuisce a trasmettere la sensazione autentica di vivere un’esperienza celestiale. L’unico aspetto che non mi ha entusiasmato riguarda l’accesso al mare: la spiaggia, pur splendida, è in gran parte sassosa e camminare scalzi può risultare fastidioso. Normalmente c’era anche una passerella con scaletta per agevolare l’ingresso in acqua, ma nel periodo del mio soggiorno non era presente. Questo rendeva necessario l’uso di scarpette da mare, che personalmente trovo scomodo per nuotare. Si tratta però di una caratteristica naturale della baia e non certo di una mancanza dell’hotel, che per il resto rimane semplicemente perfetto.

Breakfast overlooking the sea is a dream. Incredible croissants baked onsite, and we also loved the pizza. - Beautiful walk down to the sea through the pine trees. We wanted to bottle up the scent and take it home with us. Sea + pines is a dreams. If you don’t want to walk, they’ll arrange a golf cart. - Personal, warm staff, looking to help you at every turn. They remembered our names, helped us book excursions, and attended us throughout the day. - Would have loved a full length mirror in the room. But I’m grasping for straws here. - Unfortunately the sea wasn’t calm while we were there, so the beach at the hotel was closed off. Not the hotel’s fault, and we just drove down the coast to find a safer spot to swim.

• Rebecca (10/5): What a wonderful coastal experience at an amazing hotel! - From our very arrival at the hotel's motorized gate through to our goodbyes we were delighted with the hotel and staff at the Santavenere! Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the hotel and the property is a joy to spend time relaxing, swimming and eating. The attention to detail and the quality of everything is amazing. It all feels authentic to Italy though and so many of the staff we spoke to are from the area. The breakfasts are to die for and unfortunately time did not allow for a dinner meal at the hotel. Swimming was a delight as were the waterfront lounge beds and staff. The front desk organized a private water tour by boat and it was spectacular. We are returning for a long stay and we look forward to it! I can't think of anything.

Beautiful scenery everywhere you look, and the food was amazing. The ac in our room wouldn't cool the room and eventually stopped working. They sent someone several times but did not have the materials on hand to fix it. They offered a fan instead of another room.

• Therese (10/5): A perfect oasis of calm. - Everything was perfect. So much space everywhere… beach, lounges, restaurant…etc. Azure sea.. heaven for swimming. No shortage of umbrellas and sun beds. A delight for visitors exhausted by the mass of tourists elsewhere. A real oasis of peace and tranquillity. All staff incredibly helpful and discrete. We stayed only 2 nights but I would go back any time for a longer stay. It was the highlight of our journey though Campania and Calabria. Thanks so very much. Cannot complain about anything.

Easy walk to marina. Nothing - it is very special. Golf carts to take you down to the sea or to your car if needed. Service was impeccable. Wish we had at least one more night. Can rent a boat at nearby marina. Property has kayaks to use. If you order drinks down at beach be prepared to pay $

The space in the hotel grounds and the number of bars and dining places meant that there were never any queues. Everything about the hotel was top class. The breakfasts were 'out of this world' and the piano lounge decoration was extremely impressive. Although the food quality on the dinner menu was exceptional, there could have been a greater choice perhaps?

It was good having a restaurant on site. It would be good to have a fridge in the room and a coffee machine which is pretty standard these days.

• Laura (9/5): This is a spectacular resort and the manager and her staff fully invested in the guests’ pleasure. - The manager solved a very challenging problem on our first night. She listened and was responsive to our concerns. The result was a wonderful relaxing vacation. Highly recommend- will return.

The grounds and pool are nice and the service at poolside, patio cafe overlook and dining room was very attentive to our every need. The high rates support the property and service but limited our desire to stay for more than a night.

Great breakfast served by extremely attentive staff outside. Expensive but worth it - we had a sea view room with patio. Quiet neighbouring villages to explore ( and eat at) and drive through mountains to get there enjoyable too - though windy and narrow. So far much preferred the location to the Amalfi coast and wished we had stayed for more than one night nothing
