Guest Reviews
- Vic Barker (9/5): - Host was really helpful and polite. Harvey the dog is an absolute superstar!
We'd definitely book again
- Rachael (10/5): Luxury stay on a budget - Beautiful farmhouse with resident dog and lovely grounds Bit chilly in bedroom
- Ronald (10/5): -
- Sandra (9/5): Very lovely host who was relaxed and welcoming. This is shared accommodation with other guests - Met at the door by owner who lived in house
- Jen (7/5): Stunning property - Stunning house and grounds. Absolutely amazing owner who just wanted you to be comfy and feel at home. Log fires going continuously (it was stormy outside) but the idea of the hot tub when there's not a storm sounded amazing. Room sizes were huge. Plenty of space. We weren't aware it was shared accommodation and there would be another couple at the property until we arrived. However the house was more than big enough so wasn't really a huge problem. All rooms also did have their own bathroom.
- Julie (10/5): - The location, everything about the whole stay was amazing. Graham the owner is so helpful and so accommodating absolutely amazing. Harvey the dog is an absolute star. Just had weekend there for our sons 30th fantastic beautiful place. Can't wait to be back Nothing to not like
- David (8/5): A very special place. - A home and a host of great character and interest, in a beautiful rural setting close to Ogden water and other attractive places. Golf course nearby. Tennis courts on site. Convenient for getting into Halifax. Large kitchen with a big communal breakfast table. The owner provided basics for breakfast, but guests also have use of a big fridge and can bring their own extras to eat and even cook on the Aga range. Our upstairs twin room had a separate bathroom downstairs with access through the owner's office, and in need of repair to its ventilator. This didn't bother us much, but might do for some. I think other rooms had en suite. Best to check. The owner might benefit from some support in identifying reservations. We were lucky that he was there when we arrived.

- Soraya (10/5): Generous host who offered us his home and made our stay memorable - Ben aka Graham met us at the property and handed us the key.
He was very generous and accommodated us - we booked 2 rooms, but had the run of the house, the kitchen and sitting room as well as garden. We ate out and also cooked and had a takeaway. Nothing was an issue for the owner. He also laid on cereals and tea and coffee with milk/bread for us which was very thoughtful.
Location is 20 min walk from the nearest pub and all around, you are surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. It is very secluded and the perfect location for young, old, families and ramblers. There is nothing to not like - the scenery is amazing, it is a quiet secluded spot and you can walk or drive to the pub or supermarket. It is as remote as you need it to be - we ordered food it, cooked and ate out too - ideal location.
- Sarah (10/5): Great place to stay say hello to Harvey the dog. - The property was in a beautiful location and the owner absolutely amazing. Graham even gave us a lift into Halifax on Saturday night saving us a taxi fare. Very peaceful with deer in the field next door.
- Daniel (10/5): Weekend away in a Yorkshire farmhouse. - The location is fantastic, the views around there are stunning! The property is lovely, a brilliant old house full of character.
Graham (and Harvey the house dog) are a great pair of hosts. They’re welcoming, friendly and trustworthy. They were brilliant with my young family.
The views from the bedroom in the morning are lovely. We had a family of deer one morning!
Huge garden to walk around & explore with kids. Enjoy a game of tennis as well! Honestly, nothing.. i loved it & will be staying there again.

- Jackie (10/5): A warm welcome - The property is so welcoming, as is the host Graham and Harvey the dog. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like it was home from home. We had a wonderful room overlooking the tennis court. The views are to die for and the house is set in a peaceful countryside setting. We used the hot tub too, which we enjoyed. I highly recommend Brookhouse Grange. Close to the city but with a relaxing countryside setting. Nothing to dislike.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (8/5): A warm welcoming stay in a home suitable for all the family - Brilliant location. Graham is a wonderful host and Harvey the dog is a great bonus. The property & grounds offered everything we needed and more. Would highly recommend.
