- Jill (8/5): Fascinating site in a beautiful location. - Very fascinating site, as we had never stayed at a castle before. Breakfast was satisfactory. Setting is gorgeous. Carrying the luggage 5 stories.

- Alexandra (10/5): Toll! -

- Kristina (10/5): Unique accommodation with charming medieval interior - * the most unique accommodation we stayed at
* good vibes and energy. The owner is clearly passionate about this project and people are putting their soul into it, trying their best to create a community around this castle
* every room is unique with a lot of details and interesting items
* it was also very clean, comfortable (hot water, warm, quiet at night (double glazing and two doors)
* gluten free bread option for bfast, nice mushroom stew with potatoes for dinner.
* dog friendly and also has beautiful cats who live on premises
* nice events and festivals - we got to see a bit of a Advent Market preparation *It will be nice to have an English menu as the internet doesn’t really work in the castle for translation
*only one person spoke English
* there is an ongoing renovation (it didn’t bother us during quiet hours), but you can still feel that it’s not fully finished. Will be amazing to see how it feels when it’s done.
- Bruce (10/5): - What an experience! A real castle in a gorgeous piece of the Austrian countryside. Breakfast and dinner were very good and the staff were friendly. A real treat! This is an 800 yr old building so there are lots of stairs - more than 80 from the car park to our rooms - and no lifts. We were OK with it but if you are a little infirm you might want to give it a miss. Also there is no covered parking so our motorbikes got wet during the evening rain.
- Iris (8/5): -
- Viktoria (10/5): -
- Jason Addison (9/5): - Lived the friendly environment, castle, antiques, staff, views, sense of arrival
Personal freundlich. Leider kein Fön im Badezimmer.

- Rapolas (10/5): We stayed in the tower room with a terrace above; it was an awesome experience with fantastic views. - We stayed in the tower room with a terrace above; it was an awesome experience with fantastic views. Everything was great, except for the room's temperature, which was a bit cold during the night. However, we stayed in early May, and the weather was unexpectedly cold.
- Peter (5/5): Passable - Booking.com advertising was extremely misleading. The room was basic at best and not worth the price. Honest description by you
- Tigrona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eugenia (10/5): Exceptional - Aside location, which is stunning, the place is huge and an absolute surprise. The rooms are big and bright, cozy and warm. We had dinner every evening in the restaurant and did not get disappointed. We totally recommend to take a property tour, it will help you understand better how that place runs and where did it started. We are absolutely pleased with the castle/fortress and with the people who keep that place running so good.
- Gertuida (9/5): Worth a visit, something out of the ordinary. - Interesting stay in an old castle, on a hill surrounded by trees. Lovely courtyard area with restaurant. Breakfast was good, coffee was great! Bit of a building site in certain areas, although it is to be expected from such an old place. When all the restorations are done this will definitely be very special. They also keep it very clean and separated.
- Heather (9/5): A wonderful quirky experience - We loved the remote location, staying at the top of a tower (despite all the steps!), it’s quirky and different and we’ll worth it for a few nights. A lot of steps to our room! And we would have liked more information about the place…
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing Location history and staff
- Anita (9/5): Superb -
- Phillip (7/5): Food was quite good, and parts of the castle are wonderfully old, but the room was updated fantasy. - The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hector the cat was very good company! We were expecting more historic rather fantastical accommodations.
- Alessandro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Solomon (10/5): Get here any way you can, pay whatever price. What a treat. - This place is amazing! A throwback to a different era. Liver like an earl, but with a great shower head and hot water, super comfy bed and a wood-burning fireplace right in our room. Great food and wine. The staff were super friendly…taking pride in their space and the work at the castle. Nothing
- Johannes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Niikee (9/5): Superb -
- Zsigmond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jiri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katherine (10/5): Excellent castle accommodation - It's a castle!!! Seriously awesome.
No in all seriousness, the owners have done a great job renovating this gem. Our room was massive, not sure if we were upgraded but there was space to sleep 10 in our suite. A full bathroom with extra toilet was great with kids.
The food was brilliant and the service was excellent.
The English of the staff wasn't great but with their little bit of English and my little bit of German we managed.
The castle tour was great and they had an English information sheet which was helpful. It's a little off the beaten track (remote).
Whilst it didn't bother us, just beware if you have large suitcases that the stairway (tight spiral) might be difficult with larger luggage items. We had carry on size, so no great issue and honestly what would you expect in an old castle.
- Claudia (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Albert (10/5): The Castle - Everything,Mario was exceptionally helpful and willing Mario made sure cats were not in our room or eating area when we were eating.Food excellent 3 cats I'm allergic to.
- Lyudmila (9/5): Superb - We have long dreamed of staying overnight at the castle. That was great. it is a stunning view from the terraces to the nearby villages. There were very tasty dishes in the taverna. The breakfast is also very good. We did not take a pet this time, but you will be welcome with him here.
- Marianna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelli (9/5): Superb -
- Gerhard (9/5): Superb -
- Artem (9/5): Superb - Super interesting place. Good restorant and rich breakfast
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - original castle - very interesting if you have mobility challenges, it would pose an issue
- Marzanna (9/5): Superb -
- Jacek (8/5): Very good -
