Guest Reviews
- Tracy (10/5): Relaxing like a home from home - Property was modern but not to much that it lost authentic look. It was very well equipped with everything you would need, very clean. The owners Sharon & Kev were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back Nothing
Alles was perfect in orde.
- Meng (9/5): 10/10 would recommend! - Coachman's cottage is basically one corner of the rectangular building in the main pic. The Bothy and The Hayloft are 2 other corners and our lovely hosts, Sharon n Kevin, are in the fourth corner. Everyone has their own private space with a charming common central courtyard. Each BnB unit has its own parking spot.
It's beautifully clean, well-equipped and maintained. Main downside to note is that the 2 bedrooms are upstairs while the bathroom is downstairs. Not an issue for most but something to keep in mind. Otherwise, couldn't ask for a better stay. Sharon and Kevin are super responsive.
And the giant bonus - the shortest to-do list ever on checkout. Take out the garbage and leave the key back in the lockbox. What? It's almost like a hotel. But with very reasonable rates. We were here 6 nights for the Speyside Whisky Festival and room rates are crazy for this period. So glad we found Coachman's! Which I booked back in June of 2024 (yay me).
They're pet friendly - although you'd never find a stray cat or dog hair in the unit. Patrick the cat and Gilly (sp?) are on site. Patrick will majestically ignore you but Gilly will love you if you throw his ball for him.
Do stay here if you have kids that want a place to play safely - the central courtyard is enclosed Bathroom on ground floor while bedrooms are on 1st floor.
That's the only thing
- Graeme (9/5): Class few nights, very cosy accommodation after a days work - The property was very clean and nicely decorated. And the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking etc
- Justine (10/5): Fabulous stay, clean beautiful property in a beautiful location, the host Sharon was lovely too. - The property was amazing, beautifully set back and private but accessible to all the main places we wanted to visit. The house was spacious, with a lovely layout. Decorated to a very good standard, and very clean, in fact is was immaculate. Kitchen had everything we needed and more for our stay. We loved absolutely everything, the only challenge for my parents was there was no toilet upstairs.
- Ilona (10/5): This was the most beautiful accommodation from our whole holiday!!! -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Amazing well renovated place - Amazing place. We were a group of four and we felt that we always had space in the house. Perfect location to visit Dufftown and all the distilleries nearby.. also a great place to head north to the coast and spot dolphins.
- Graham (10/5): Great location for exploring Moray - Having our dogs with us, they had the run of the courtyard and the woods adjacent to the property , Sharon and Kevin are great hosts Nothing
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (8/5): Peace and comfort - Thank you Sharon and Kev for welcoming us into your lovely cottage! We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. We enjoyed the space, the peace, the real fire, and the big window so we could see the hills from our bed! We can very much recommend the Speyburn Distillery (just a mile away!) and Caorun Gin (not far).
- Joan (10/5): Exceptional - Good location a d helpful owners. Nothing we did not like
- Lindsay (10/5): Beautiful acco m - Lovely peaceful location and very helpful owner Nothing!
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful property full of character and charm. A peaceful location with stunning views from the main rooms. Entrance to the property is via a secure courtyard. - Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay. Host was very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back and we would highly recommend. - The property was clean, homely, modern with all mod cons . Tastefully decorated. Amazing views from the living room and bedroom windows Nothing
- Norman (8/5): Beautiful but cool - A stunning house, set in a stone courtyard surrounded by beautiful countryside. The property is fresh and spotlessly clean throughout. The bedrooms are boutique hotel quality and everything is well equipped. Wifi signal was strong. The nighttime temperatures were low single figures when we were there (in July) and the host had left the heating off. As we couldn't remedy that, we were cold in the mornings and evenings.
Also, the directions to the property could be better on Booking.com. Maybe I missed them, but all we had was a postcode and the signage to the property was very small.
- Nancy (10/5): Delightful Cottage - fully equipped for a fabulous adventure in the Speyside area. Fabulous hosts! - An amazing cottage - with such character and all the modern amenities. Our hosts had thought of everything - so many nice touches. Sharon and Kevin have done a masterful job on the Coachman's Cottage and we had plenty of room for a family of 4 adults. There was such great communication before, during, and after the trip that I felt like we had made new friends! So many great recommendations and the cottage is wonderfully suited central location from exploring the beaches in the north to the many whisky distilleries. The only thing we didn't like was . . . leaving!
- Reusefully (9/5): Great place to stay - This place is great. A really nice apartment and good size with all that you need, fab views and friendly hosts with lots of tips for the local area.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- M (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful property with wonderful hosts - Wonderful property with an internal courtyard so my children could play outside safely. The property has been thoughtfully designed with attention to detail and environmentally conscious.
The bedrooms are very spacious, and had everything we needed, fully equipped modern kitchen, again had everything we needed with a lovely sunny spot overlooking the courtyard.
The bathroom has a large shower with plenty of hot water.
The sitting room has a large sofa with a log burner There was nothing to dislike about the property
