• Scarlett (7/5): - In the plaza mayor, close to everything, the people running it were really nice. I think they started cleaning the halls and bathrooms around 8 or 9 am. Each morning around that time people were moving around and talking. It was hard to sleep in

• Irina (8/5): - Es ist eine sehr einfache aber ganz saubere und mit allem wichtigen Ausgestattete Pension direkt auf der Plaza Mayor. Das ältere Paar ist äusserst freundlich und sympatisch. Zimmer, die direkt zum Platz ausgerichtet sind, haben eine fantastische Sicht, allerdings am Wochenende abends ist es sehr laut. Wir konnten aber das Zimmer nach hinten tauschen und es war wunderbar ruhig. Es wäre praktisch, wenn es in den Badezimmern oder wenigstens in den Zimmern Hacken für Badetücher gäbe.

Tiene lo justo y necesario para estar cómodo. Estancia tranquila y sin ruidos. El precio por las tres noches fue muy asequible. Nos hubiera gustado un pequeño espejo en la habitación.

La limpieza es absoluta, tanto de la habitación como de los baños que están reformados y perfectos. Sabanas, toallas etc todo limpio y nuevo. Pero aun así, lo mejor es la atención y amabilidad de Pilar, la dueña. Atenta a todo, comunicativa y un encanto de persona. Totalmente recomendable. Por decir algo, los colchones camas hacían ruido al moverse.

La ubicación inmejorable )en plena Plaza Mayor), las instalaciones en relación con el precio que pagas están perfectas y la encargada de gestionar el alojamiento encantadora y maravillosa. Daba gusto escucharla contar como generaciones de su familia han mantenido ese negocio vivo (hasta han recibido un premio recientemente). No tiene puntos negativos para lo que cuesta, sinceramente.

• John (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, and staff were helpful when I arrived late due to a delayed train. My room had a window but it looked on to a central corridor therefore no view or privacy.

• Jo (3/5): Poor - Great location Really noisy because it was right on the main square. After the bars shut the street cleaners were working till 3am so we got very little sleep. The beds were also really squeaky so every time you rolled over the beds made a loud noise.

• Anne (3/5): Poor - Very friendly lady at the reception and great view over the central square in Carretero! I think one can really enjoy the stay at Pension Carretero with the right neighbours, which we unfortunately didn’t have. Face to face with our room was a boys group smoking in their rooms, catcalling me and my friend (we’re both female) and putting messages in front of our door. Due to their shouting in the hallway we couldn’t sleep at night. And we didn’t even want to use the toilet because it smelled so bad like vomit. So yeah I think one can enjoy their stay, but Pension Carretero has to be more careful with whom they’re giving their rooms to.
• Land (10/5): Cáceres is a fascinating, charming and visually stunning city, and evenings on the Plaza Mayor reveal the beauty and joy - Great location literally on the Plaza Mayor. Very helpful staff.

And doña Pilar was very nice and polite The mattress was probably the WORST mattress I have EVER slept on (I'm 45, I need a decent mattress 😅) Old, hard,and I could feel the springs all over my body. I woke up with a severe case of stiff neck (couldn't even drive home). The frame was VERY noisy, and the headboard was loose (when i laid down, it fell over). I really don't mind simple places with old furniture, but a decent mattress is bare minimum. Also, there was mold on the ceiling.... .

• Sotrondino (8/5): Perfect location for a short stay in Cáceres. - The location is just at the main square of the city, plenty of sightseeing, restaurants, bars and all around. Definetly perfect location. If you want a simple and affordable place in Caceres, this is the place. It was my mistake I did not check well that all bathrooms are shared. Anyway the place is super clean. A little bit noisy because the square and it is an old building, but in this range of price, it is difficult to find something better.
